  • From 1939-1945, Adolph Hitler tried to exterminate an entire race from Europe. In 2011, That race is stronger than ever.

  • The best response to hate is celebration and living well. What better response could there ever be to creatures like Hitler? Defiance and celebration forever. These are the chosen people and they know it.

  • @gcpropertymanagement

Thank you. Sometimes they/we wish we werent the 'chosen' people - it's sometimes a big load!

  • So beautiful...you are a true example of humanity, thank you....as Hannah Arendt said: Forgiveness is the key to action and freedom.

Beyond evil, life and liberty triuhmphs and will keep on doing so as a never ending dancing song.

    =)

  • @annemiecucu

Thanks for those words - i agree with Hannah Arendt!

  • I love to dance with my grandmother, but she did not survived. I never knew her. My mother and me went back there the get a closure for her. My mother and her good friend who were survived Auschwitz felt they need to go back with me. We did not dance, but I can understand this family. They survived, let them celebrate!!!

Congratulation for the video! (Hungarian living in USA)

  • Good luck for people like him from Poland, Kalisz!

  • @Tomassssssso

    Jenkuye!!!!

  • @janekorman Dziękuję :)

  • @Tomassssssso

    :)))))

  • Respect! This old man is a real surviver and I am very happy for him that he can celebrate his life with his grandchildren. By dancing, he survives being a victim.

  • @jano455 I think, that you are mistaken jano. He is re-awakening the attantion of the world. The dance says, "Never forget, but celebrate liberty."what could be more normal?

  • Thank you for sharing :toast:

Your family is a true inspiration for us all, and I loved him in your 'I will survive' video.

long life and happiness to you all :big-hug:

  • Oh! De família. ~.^

  • this is very disturbing... layers of dead are buried there.. he never consulted with relatives of others if it is OK to dance over their parents graves.. would you be so inviting to strangers to trample over your tortured parents grave to the disco music?

there must be limits to what people are allowed to do for publicity.. mass graves command respect, silence and a prayer... and he is entitled to dance and celebrate but not on anothers graves or places of torture.. you find it inspiring?!!!!

  • He is loving life.

And he is still doing so.

Those who can't celebrate with him today smile from Heaven.

    Love you.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • @GeorgeVreelandHill

    True words! Love you too!

  • It is important that we remember the victims. Every war is senseless, so the second world war with its consequences. The old man has survived this ordeal and may not enjoy the right to life. I thought the thumbs up for this video by Mese.

  • right so, celebrate life

  • We could learn a lot about forgiveness - sure it is difficult - everyone killed finished but joy is such a big part of our precious human life.

  • Actually, they're more like dancing over the graves of the Nazis than their own.

  • May your loved ones rest in peace...

I see you and your family has found peace. Congratulations on your strenght and abilitiy to truly celebrate your lives!

I am still seaching for my iner peace, you have made me see that hope again, thank you.

  • This man survived horrors we can't even begin to imagine. If he wants to dance, let him dance. Wherever and whenever.

  • Żydzi Wont z Polski!!Juden raus aus Polen!!

  • @Frezer1994b Właśnie przez takich idiotów jak Ty świat myśli że Polska jest antysemicka ! i zacofana !

  • I realize this is an attempt to brighten the grimness of the Holocaust by celebrating life and the triumph of the people over Nazism and death but dancing on graves it still dancing on graves. They can do their dance anywhere else too! That said, I wonder how the many people who never got to have families would feel? Seeing many people support them( polls show 90% or more approval) makes me wonder if departed would have liked this. There's no way to tell but they would be the ideal judge.

  • @ryoohki23 I can say with certainty not one of them would have turned down the chance to dance in that place with their children and grand children after a long, full and joyfull life.

  • Just learned of this on Deutschewelle/NPR - had my doubts; but that Leonard Cohen song (first heard a few months ago) is so hauntingly beautiful and the slo-mo fuzzy imagery is lovely - touching

  • Beautiful people and bodies moving beautifully. Deserving of their joy and embracing it, celebrating life. Exquisite. Stunning. I, too, am happy that you are alive. Thank you for sharing this empowering reclaiming of your rightful destiny.

    Love,

    Elizabeth

  • It would B interesting 2C what surviving Nazis and German soldiers would think of this video. What would their fallen comrades think?R they laughing 2?What R the Russian and American Soldiers that liberated these camps thinking? For WWII history buffs it would B interesting 2 hear from all sides. What would each group think and why?WWII is popular and the Vets are passing away everyday so their voices are important to hear right now. What do our Vets think about todays wars also?Interesting subject.

  • it's about time someone brought some joy back to this place.

  • Dance Me To The End Of Love.

    Beautiful.

    Keep dancing.

Life goes on no matter what.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • The world could use more messages like these - messages of hope, healing, joy and celebration of life. Thank you for sharing.

  • reclaim happiness and the right to laugh. What a beautiful song.

  • Jane...my first name is Aixa, and my last name is Korman, im an argentinian girl (adult is better, sorry my english), and just today at lunch o comment this video with my father. I saw it in open TV in a notice show and he told me, that he received it from friend by email, and he was attonishing with see your last name. If you want, we can make contact by fb, tw, msn, is so important to us try to build our history. Thanks for read it. I hope an answer. and thanks a lot by post a video like this.

  • I totally agree. Never let people tell you not to dance and be happy! What happened 70+ yrs ago was awful and unfortunately is still happening in other countries today, but this man should be celebrating the fact that he survived all that and is able to share this with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, etc.

  • Another proof that love always triumphs over hatred. I was deeply touched watching your beautiful video.

  • I read in a paper today that people in Germany are pissed about his video... Holy shit... I guess we shouldnt make fun of their awesome camp... Goddamnit people, nobody learned anything in the past 65 years. No more camps please, Germany and Poland. Camps are bad. Videos are fun.

  • This is the best thing to learn to children instead of hate and stuffing black stones in their heart. Please do not stop dancing.

  • grazie

  • Life is worth dancing for.

    Keep smiling.

    Keep dancing.

There are six million others who agree.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • Thank Jane for sharing with such a remarkable video. There is a saying, “The race who forgets the history and past have no future” ...We remember the history not because we want to extend the hatred, but we want to make sure history will not repeat itself. My father is a Chinese living under the Japanese atrocities during WWII. Mr. Kohn and other survivors of WWII are currently in their 90’s. Very soon, that generation passes and we can only learn the history through books. So Thanks Again!!!

  • I read about this on an Israeli newspaper website and saw the Dancing Auschwitz video also. I know there is some controversy but a) Thank God they survived and as someone else said b) living well is the best revenge so Well Done.

  • Why are there people complaining! This is the best way to show that they did make it and Hitler LOST.Dance away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Beautiful! :'¬) Dance for the joy of life.

    Yet still remembering.

  • These are the most uplifting and encouraging videos I have seen in years. Mr. Kohn can dance any where he dang well pleases!!!!! By the way I have shared the link to these videos with friends all over the net. ;-)

  • This is an amazing video! Artist Jane Korman will be on my radio show to discuss this video and why she did this project and the fall out from it.. Tuesday July 20th 9-11pm (pacific time) on ISRALA.COM. You are welcome to call -in and voice your opinion and talk to Jane.

  • so great that you chose leonard cohen for background music.....video is fantastic, watched it on canadian tv news, its getting a lot of airplay...p.s.my dad lost his 2 brothers, 3 sisters, and parents at Auschwitz, all in 1943, he was the only survivor.

  • This is a beautiful thing that came from something unimaginable! For those of you, who disagree with it, get a life! God bless this man and all others who made it through such trying times and bettered themselves because of their horrible experiences!

  • Celebrate your life with your grands, old man, you deserves that! I loved your videos! Viva, Viva, Viva!!!!

  • It's the must beuty that I see in months.

  • my father was in Aushwitz - he would have approved live and let live.

  • To see happy people makes me happy, but watching this vid I've such a strange feeling about this I can't place it. That soil is bloodsheded. Finally: I disapprove.

  • @myreneetje

Please explain to me, with what or by whom de soil of Australia is bloodsheded?

You don't even know, what your are looking at! In this case: dancing in Australia, by a survivor of Aushwitz with his kids and family, in much happier times of his life after.

    You disapprove that?

  • @Kinipela1969. I didn't read the text below the vid, sorry. The quality of this vid is so poor, I thought someone made an amazing discovery by finding a rare footage just after WOII made in Europe. That grandfather can't wipe-out his past. I wonder if he's really enjoying that celebrating, especially the moments you see him in front of that camps. You mention: Dancing in Australia by a survivor of Auschwitz. Oke, then keep the whole dancing in Australia.

  • @myreneetje This IS footage from before WW2.

  • Best revenge I've ever seen! They're were not many survivors of Auswitschz, but this man showed how he celebrate his survive and it is a big triumpf!

I hope this man will live for more then 30 years from now and do this again over 15 years and 30 years! :)

  • Bravo janekorman for doing this video for your mother and father. My father fought to free your parents during the war, he and many others that survived have the right to dance to the end with love. My father took me to these same places when I was young and lived in Europe, to teach me the inhumanities that were done to others. I will never forget the saddness that still lingers in the air at this place. Learn the lesson only once, never let it happen again

  • I would dance in auschwitz too.

  • It would be great if more of the holocaust survivors could / would do the same thing to celebrate that they are still here and that their generations live on. Many of the survivors I've encountered are permanently depressed over what they had to endure. It's great to see behavior that 'gives the finger' to those who would want to destory another people.

  • Awesome... powerful and very moving!

  • wow you're awesome man, there's no better way to diminished the Nazi's that the way you've done it, showing them that you are living a happy life, and all their efforts to make you unhappy just did not work out at the end, well done, very very well done.

  • He dances in the mouth of hell. That's the bravest defiance anyone can show, How could this celebration of life be criticised? I hope I dance, with far less cause, when my end is in front of me.

  • It is good to remember the history

  • The holocaust was like 70 years ago. Get over it.

  • @Voxson14 fuck off you noob. 70 years a go they're were 80 million people more. those 80 million people who died in ww2, 12 million of them during the holocaust, could have been still living now. They're were just 7000 survivors of auswitschz and some of them are still alive. If they're were 1.5 million surirvors of the holocaust, there was a lot more people and hapiness right now.

I hope you burn in hell with the nazi's because of your comment. YOU FAGGOT

  • I don't think you'll be able to find me any reputable source that says 12 million jews died in the holocaust, the generally accepted number is 6 million.

  • @Voxson14

oh! just 6 million , i don't know why we make such a huge deal of it then, now it is not a tragedy.thanks mate, i was unnecessarily sad about just 6 million...

  • @Voxson14

    Voxson14

oh! just 6 million , i don't know why we make such a huge deal of it then, now it is not a tragedy.thanks mate, i was unnecessarily sad about just 6 million...it is more thanthe population of newzealand and about 40 other countries...

  • Amazing, enjoyable, tears, Darling, your short movie, its bigger than "Schindler's List" and others... a simple movie, a huge love ... great !

  • Bravo, GOOD mi ha commosso !!!

  • Awesum, luv it, good on ya! celebrate your life and your line overcoming the odds, must have been very satisfying!!

  • I picked up my BMW in Munich and drove it to Dachau and STUCK MY MIDDLE FINGER UP at the Nazi prison camp and said, Life is Good. I understand their joy of dancing and enjoying life. Bravo Bravo Bravo. We all feel pain and joy differently. Their exhuberance is theirs!

  • BRAVO! I think my family members who didn't make it out of Treblinka and Bergen-Belsen would appreciate Adolek's joie de vivre. Watching this reminds me of Mel Brooks' explanation for why he wrote "The Producers." As an infantry soldier in WWII and a Jew, he had made it his life's mission to get back at Hitler by turning him into a punch line. Adolek really nailed it!

  • I just saw the all three parts to this series. They brought me to tears, and I'm not Jewish. I started to read the comments, but I had to stop after all those hateful, ignorant "people" wrote such horrible things. They're inhuman pigs - all of them. Scum. Just like the typical teabaggers and repukes when you call them out on their racism and hatred and they complain about the calling out of their vile hatred and not what they ARE saying NOW - I fear for my country.

  • What a beautiful thing to have done! After all that this man went through, he is still smiling and dancing. What a lucky family to have him in their lives!

  • Why is everyone sooooo pissed off STILL?! I mean, its not like YOU dies there. Thats a fuckedu p thing to say & I know MANY MANY people died by the hand of an evil man, but why is the jewish community pissed over dancing at Auschwitz? Seems like a win for the jewish people to me!

  • Youtube deleted the first vid, because it should violating rights or something.

Why is Youtube not taking action about animal cruelty. Videos about snakes attaking, suffocating and eating poor rabbits which are still alive.

  • @myreneetje

    That's a shame.

Surviving is an insult. Welll, youtube was capable to finish the job at last. The nazi's couldn't stop opa from dancing through life, youtube could.

  • @myreneetje

Because thats not animal cruelty, thats nature.

Animal cruelty would be the video of that kid that douses that kitten in lighter fluid then sets it ablaze. Which YouTube actually DOES remove. Sure sometimes it makes its way back on here, but thats the purpose of the "flag as inappropriate" button. If you feel so strongly about nature videos being animal cruelty, then by all means, start flagging them...

  • @sycomagnt. You are right about nature, but the circumstances are not equal. For a rabbit or other animal there is never an escape possible, becaus its canned / prisoned. Also humans bring animals together which in their normal native habitat never will encounter a snake. That makes it cruel. That's my opinion.

  • Wow.... how beautiful ;-) What a top way to celebrate your family!

Good on you Jane, I'm just proud that you're a melbourne gal too.

  • Bravo!!! Celebrate life, love, and dance!

  • What a great reminder for all of us privileged people who live under democratic governments and have the right to freedom. We are still too complacecent when we know attroticities are being committed. Maybe our free voices can still count? Sadly, I feel that the evil that is 'greed' will always provide a breeding ground for ill treatment of others. Move into the future, remember the past.

Thankyou to this brave family for providing a light entry point for a lesson.

  • As a Retired U.S. Sailor I support this celebration of life. To dance and celebrate life in the face of such a horrible thing is proof the good things in this world can NOT be kept down. My Oath as a Sailor says I shall defend freedom and democracy around the world. I'm so happy that people survived to show us with determination and faith all things are possible. "TO LIFE"

  • Brilliant!

  • Instead of dancing to celebrate there so called tenacity' and the "human spirit" they should have been doing a dance of Praise to the God of Abraham, Isac and Jacob who allowed many of them to survive and then used the atrocity of the Holocaust to bring the Jews back to the land He had promised to them.

All the Praise belongs to God!

  • Dear Jane, this is a wonderful testimony to the courage and reiliance of your parents.. and it givem me some small insight into the Jane who I have known over the past 36 years. You ahe always bee, and still are a wonderful ethereal spirit. I am touched

  • Dear Jane

this is a wonderful testimony to the courage and reiliance of your parents.. and it givem me some small insight into the Jane who I have known over the past 36 years. You ahe always bee, and still are a wonderful ethereal spirit. I am touched

  • @historicrecord

Some people (like you), just hate to see other people happy and dancing through life. Especifically, when it was not ment to be.

Get over it. Just like grandpa did..

  • I watched the whole series today, and it really touched me.

I hope, your grandpa and your family, will keep going dancing through life! Wish you all the best! Go for it!

And grandpa, you have all the rights to celebrate your life!

Btw, I like part 2 the most :)

  • @Kinipela1969

My father also survived Auschwitz aged just 14 years. My grandparents didn;t but he kept his dignity and self -respect.He celebrated life but not over the graves of his murdered parents. He retained his standards & values.

  • @historicrecord Are they dancing on the graves of his murdered family or dancing for them? It is easy to keep hate and anger alive, it's harder to laugh and smile and dance in the face of that hate.

    Never Forget the holocast

I'd like to say never again, but it has happened again and again throughout human history and is still occuring to this day.

  • @historicrecord

Well, I don't see people dancing over the graves of lost ones. This vids were taken in Australia. Celebrating life!

  • @historicrecord

This vids were taken in Australia. Which graves are you talking about? You are watching here the happy memories of life, after...

I think it's rather respectless to blame a survivor for being lucky after all.

  • @Kinipela1969

The impression created from the other videos is that the dancing is taking place at the site of Auschwitz death camp in Poland. where the Nazi's would perversely have orchestra playing as convoys queued up for the murder apparatus.

  • @historicrecord

But what you are watching here, is taking place at the other side of the world. Far, far away of all that graves and missery of Auschwitz.

So who do you think you are, to tell a survivor that he would be respectless, picking up his life end being happy, after surviving real threat of life? And all personal losses?

You may have respect for death, but you disrespect life.

  • @Kinipela1969

JaneKormans' initial video :I will survive daning Auschwitz is filmed at Birkeneau and Auschwitz 1 and not at the other side fo the world as you claim. It is certainly disrespectful to dance in that fashion at that location or to encourage and elderly survivor to do so.

  • @Kinipela1969

My wife put it in the following terms: "these people are having fun but they are uneducated people". Ignorance probably best sums it up although I would call it bad taste.

  • @historicrecord

Ohw well, Pablo Picasso said it this way:

There are painters who transform the sun to a yellow spot,

but there are others who, with the help of their art and their intelligence, transform a yellow spot into the sun.

    - Pablo Picasso

Maybe your wife can learn some about that fun of life instead of being sour and hatefull :)

  • @Kinipela1969

You are wrong again- dancing is her passion and she does it in Latin nightclubs

and even though she's not jewish she understands the importance of demonstrating respect at solemn locations when it is called for.

  • @historicrecord

eeeeeew Nightclubs? I think that's very disrepectfull for any woman. YUCK!

  • @historicrecord

Oh and let me remind you, this locatian is Australia. So why is it disrespectfull for a survivor of Auschwitz, to dance in Australia with his loved ones?

  • @Kinipela1969

Again,it's not this particular video I'm referring to but the one with half a million viewings which is filmed at Auschwitz. This video itself is rather good.

  • @historicrecord

It's a trilogy. From now, to the past. I think, you have to watch all 3 parts first, and think it over...

There are no insults, it's just the celebration of survival and life.

I would love to see other survivors familys to do the same thing in answer to this! :D

What better way to take revenge is there, than let the whole world know you did survive, and you are damned happy about that! And dancing! :)

  • Excellent, shames me into not getting more from life! Enjoy....

  • Boca de mono.

  • I have read elsewhere that a person said that only Jews would like this, that goyim (non-Jews) wouldn't. Well, here's a goyim that says, "Bravo!" The triumph of life over unspeakable evil endures. God bless that grandfather, and his family.

  • @andreaoffshore --- boca de mono

  • @andreaoffshore The world does not need a new you Satan, punk! go to hell.

  • nice...

  • I'm glad that your family found a home in Australia, my grandfather emigrated to Australia from Germany's south with his parents during the 30's, this nation of immigrants must always remember how so many of us came here.

  • Don't ever let the nay-sayers get you down. These videos are a stunning tribute to your family and everyone who has suffered horrendous crimes and survived. Kudos.

  • brilliant and moving brava jane...your grandfather is an inspirational delight..

  • Beautiful and magical.

  • did she take the first one done that one is a sad grasp for fame

  • Wow, what an amazing story, and an even more amazing triumph. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this!

  • What a way to commemorate your trip, and terrific revenge upon your grandfathers jailers. Those that died will be laughing and dancing with you!

  • und schon tanzen Sie wieder

  • absolutely amazing what a man thats a true survivor, fantastic

  • Christ, this looks like a sect!!!!

  • @GhostPerdition To: GhostPerdition - It is attitudes like yours that explain how the horrors that occurred at Auschwitz, Dachau, and other death camps came to be. It must really suck to carry around so much hatred inside of you. What a shriveled up little soul you must have! Tsk tsk ....

  • @GhostPerdition Hey GP I think you're sick and need help, get it as soon as possible and you may still have a chance at a good life. A very worried jewish soul, worrying about your mental well being. No religion advocates murder, develped people just don't, so look into getting some treatment ASAP.

  • they say that living well in is the best revenge...bravo

  • What a triumph!!!! BRAVO!

  • Jane, Thank you for very moving videos. Shalom.

  • Thanks for this video. The history that must be always with us.

  • very touching shalom

  • beautiful project. i was very touched....

very refreshing approach to the subject. loved it!

  • Beautiful, the song fits perfectly.

  • Jane, thank you for this video, thank you for your Grandfather strength and WILL TO LIVE! Tears are streaming down my face as I watch these videos.

    Mazeltov and LONG LIVE Adolek!

  • @ExposeZionistCrimes whatever, Mel Gibson

  • @ExposeZionistCrimes Zionist Jews are in a war for survival. Will we stop defending ourselves from Islamic Radicals, mmmmmm, don't think so.

Will we attack when being attacked by Islamic activists, yes but unfortunately not strong enough and not quick enough. We're too considerate of the civilians involved by their not so carrying leaders and terrorist comrades. Read and learn, ignorance is bliss, but if you want to speak out, best to know what you're talking about.

  • @farmchickisr If US taxpayers are going to waste BILLIONS yearly supporting a jewish state, then jews should all go there to live and leave the gentiles to run their own countries. But you are against self rule for us, so I really don't care about your "struggle vs Islam".

  • @ExposeZionistCrimes We would celebrate Arabs taking responsibility for their own people, developing a govt etc in Israel. Money donated by foreign aid, by Arab countries, is used to continue warfare against Jews in Israel, not to develop an independent Arab state.

Israel is being supported since we are the only democratic, modern, govt in the area. Who should the US work with, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Iraq,? You are warmly invited to go live in any of those countries, with Arab brothers.

  • @farmchickisr I agree, the Arabs should form their own state, government, military, etc inside Israel.

I think jews should all go to israel instead of me moving to Lebanon or Iraq. Jews have a homeland, and US taxpayers are wasting BILLIONS supporting it, now why dont they go there and allow the gentiles to be free and also have self rule?
