no, it's made out of a single block of anodized aluminum. it doesn't scratch either which is nice.

I just got mine yesterday night right after work. I love everything about this laptop especially the new chassis/casing. It's super light, glass screen, excellent speakers, very unique trackpad, very quiet keyboard and hard drive, AND the battery life is just amazing. I have an eeepc 1000H and between the two laptops, they are just about the same in terms of battery life. Great video!

That snapping sound was the a little button type thing that opens the case to the battery. Nothing is wrong with it.

dude nice vid...this is the kinda vid i was lookin for, cuz i'm really tempted to get a macbook.... now maybe sum of u guys can help me: theres a few different memory options , as in hardrive , and quite a big difference in price depending on what u get ...but does it matter if i buy a smaller memory one since i'll be using a big external hardrive anyway? any thoghts ?

I just ordered the 2.0ghz macbook. I didnt go with the 2.4 and extra HD space because I can never fill up 160GB and the .4 ghz extra cpu speed is unnoticeable to the naked eye. If you have an external HD thats great for extra space. The only thing the 2.0 ghz macbook lacks is the luminescent keyboard :(

Nope, as with all other apple computers, you can only use the specific type of parts it was built with.

I sold it for almost the same price as my new macbook why I got to sell it for 1300 bucks well because this person wanted the firewire and plus my macbook was the black top of the line it was custom built to its maxed out and he wanted it because of the firewire ports
