He then travels to 2035, but his time machine breaks apart, leaving him stranded in the future. He attempts to rebuild is device, but is labeled insane, and is imprisoned for 50 years and dies.

After watching this so many times I think I've figured it out, the narrator is the REAL SUPERSTAR ACTION HERO SPY TRAN and the little boy just has the same name. The narrator is using the little boy to hide his identity. At some point he drags the boy back to 1944 to star in the 30000 films, taking him in time to each new movie, then dumping him in the future once his mind snaps and he starts believing he really is a secret agent.
