I found this game at a goodwill and it was busted up pretty bad.One of the little clips that holds it together was broken and the sticker was really faded. I took a shot and bought it. I also ran a cu-tip in it to clean the rust. I was half expecting it not to work, but it ended up working like a charm after the TLC. I like the first one, but the second one is my favorite. I hope I can find it someday.
This looks like the JAP version to me. The speed is far beyond that of the effects of the "xtreme" cheat and Wally Warp (the double "W" power-up" which was the second power-up collected, does NOT appear on the first lap on PAL/Emulator, especially if you're in pole position.
@Kudhos I don''t think there was not much, if any difference in speed between the NTSC and PAL versions of XG. Though I presume he's using one of the many cheats available!
I guess you wasn't bothered about the placement of your Wally Warp. I really love screwing people over with that, especially placing it where it's unavoidable.

You know what else is funny? I just noticed that the speed is different from mine... as in the speedometer...
I wonder if this is the PAL version, and it is being measured in km/h rather than mph.
The READOUT on the speedo is about 1.6 times as fast as I've ever gotten the Jolt...
And why are the textures BADLY aligned? :<

i recorded it from a mac emulator, so it's not very good.. and this is the Japanese version of the game =] higher speeds!

You know what's funny is that the first "drop" is actually 180 degrees =]
But yeah, those occur often in the first Extreme G, and I think a couple times in XG2 as well. I specifically remember Canous and Eschaton
