Everybody always laughed at me when I had to read Shakespeare out loud in the class. I had a habit of emphasizing the wrong parts and monotone through the rest lol. Even my teacher laughed at me when I read the line in Mcbeth " he has killed me mother" cuz I was so casual about it.

I was reciting along with you... from having had it forcibly and irreversibly inserted into my brain as a kid. The loathing I felt at the time has now passed, although it took far too many years to do so.

I wish when I was in high school, they didn't force us to read all of these old books by authors like Shakespeare, and then quiz the f*** out if us about these books. Because now, I really hate Shakespeare. Sorry :(
