  • I was going to Sanford on a fully loaded First Choice 767. I was expecting to take off and go to Manchester to refuel and then cross the Atlantic but the pilot went full throttle at the beginning of the runway and we lifted off the ground a few minutes before I saw grass. He turned over the channel and went straight to Sanford.

  • A330 takes 2220m to tke off at MTOW.

At 80% of Mtow it can take off in 2000m

    bristol airport runway is 2011m

Not much of a scary-hairy landing, as the 763 can land at mtow in 1800m

  • Yea u gotta remember , the B767 cant flare at bristol and it needs time to stop unfortunitly its just a slam down ;)

  • i know for a fact many years ago bristol handled some heavys

    707 , DC8, DC10, A300's and A330 :)

shame u done see them anymore..

  • did bristol really have A330s

  • yes aerlingus ones :)

  • Yeah, they did, i came in on an A330 With aer Lingus from Dublin, but they've since pulled out of Bristol, and you only get crappy Ryanair!

  • Aer Lingus use A330s into Cardiff currently for charters

  • They still could handle them ( obviously ) It's just pilots down want to risk hairy landings on short runways anymore

  • does anyone know what films are showing on the first choice longhaul around the 26th march??

  • bristol airport at MAXIUM can handle a b767 with less than half its fuel tanks full ( a fully loaded 767 wouldnt beable to take off from bristol) you deffo did not see a B777 at bristol it has never been done. MD10/11 are also to large for this airport. the largest airliner to serve bristol regulary is a b757 from continetal to new york.

  • G-OOBL flew mt EGCC-KSFB and KSFB-EGCC :D

  • same the fun bit is that you have to make a fuel stop at manchester!

  • Not for me our flight was originating at CC.

  • did you have to pay for your drinks?

  • Very clean plane!!! Thanks for uploading.

  • noisy cabin :/

  • were did you takeoff from?

  • I flew on OOBL into MAN from the dominican republic in august, great service, but being forced to listen to Peter Andre and Jordan's Song during landing was horrid.

  • The 767 is the biggets bristol can handle ,Its expanding though.

  • ur rong

    dc10s and md11s used 2 fly there

    i also say a 777

  • Dc-10 and Md11 ,Yes (But they are smaller) And definatly not a 777 Check all of bristols airlines and none of them have a 777

  • it wiert a charta aircrft

    it jst went der

  • What airline?

  • it wierent it were just white

i saw it on 1 october wen i went to spain with school and u can easil see its a 777 by the wheels 000

  • You sure that wasnt Bristol Filton?

  • i live opposite filton so no and my nan lives near the approach to bristol and thats wer i c it

  • Hmmm i could be quite easy to mistake a 767 for a 777 ,I dont think bristols runway is long enough for 777's

  • it had 6 wheels on each main gear fing

and 777 can stop quite quickly

  • Hmmm i stand corrected a 777 could land at Bristol but i dont see why...

  • wat made u change ur mind lol

  • Wikipedia! lol

  • the runway is to small for a 777 to land and takeoff

  • its a 767-300ER and the runway is to small for 777s to takeoff from.

  • we were in the same airline and same plane to greece it was cool we went from bristol aswell

  • i didn't think a 767-300 could land at bristol because of the 1.30 mile runway 'roosterhut'?

  • nah iv seen 3 767s land and takeoff from bristol :)
