  • so much anger.. just enjoy both Disney and Universal... they're both amazing places to spend some time.

  • what kind of cuisine? greek?

  • Mr. loonercrazy, you are crazy. Listen, americas expectancy rates are the highest in the world, meaning the amount of children outnumbers that of adults. Thats why disney gets so many attending guests. Their success is due to Americas addiction to ***.

  • @nicorlando18 What the hell are you talking about? Speak with clarity, logic and facts.

  • @loonercrazy retarded joke..chillll haha

  • Wow it looks amazing! That's the first place I'm going to eat now haahaa. Not the actual place, the food haahaa.

  • even though i have gone to IOA like a million times i never went inside and eat because its always closed

  • it was alright there are better restaurant tho,

  • So expensive

  • great restaurant! i remember going a few years ago, good food :)

  • Im not a fan of universal at all but i must admit this is impressive especially the outside

  • Absolutely beautiful

  • when we wanted something to eat, this was closed :-( :-(

  • Classified as #1 theme park restaurant in the world. I haven't eaten there, but even the decoration is awesome!

  • Classified by who? If it was the #1 theme park restaurant in the world then why is it closed so many times throughout the year? Oh yea, because IOA has failed to do what it was meant to do in boosting Universal Orlando's theme park attendance numbers up near the Disney parks numbers and it hasn't even come close. The park is a failure and this restaurant is NOT the #1 theme park restaurant in the world.

    Please

  • Theme Park magazine, I think. And closing oftenly isn't a reason to insult it. Universal is way better than Disney because their rides are more awesome (Except for Doom compared to Tower of Terror). Anyway, I haven't tasted the food, but that magazine said it was the best.

  • Theme Park Magazine? Please, when a legitimate magazine does a more scientific poll then I might buy the results, but Theme Park Magazine is a magazine that is childish in its presentation and format and cannot be taken seriously as a final authority on theme park evaluations. And if Universal was way better than Disney then the attendance numbers would prove that. It is your opinion it is better, but for the majority Disney appears to be way better than Universal

  • @loonercrazy I'm talking about the rides, if there is q ride in Disneyworld, Universal has a similar one but twice better.

  • Again, based on your opinion here, if your assessment was true in how a majority of people felt about both property's theme parks then you would see a significant shift in attendance going from WDW to Universal Orlando. The fact of the matter is that Universal Orlando has suffered to find any sort of an attendance growth since the opening of IOA 11 years ago. That is pretty dismal of evidence that you are in the minority with your opinion.

  • It won as best theme park restaurant a few years in a row from the Theme Park Insider Web site.

  • Theme Park Insider Website? With all due respect, let me know when a legitimate organization that is taken seriously on a broader level has identified the restaurant as the best theme park restaurant and then I will sit up and take notice.

  • @loonercrazy Trolls. Gotta love em.

  • @dinoman96 Yes, you gotto love them. Even when the trolls are right in what they are saying. Get over it. Mythos and IOA in general sucks as a place and has lost over a million in attendance from when it first opened. How pathetic.

  • @loonercrazy ...."when it first opened"

Yeah, it wasn't so successful on its opening day, but right now it's the ninth most visited theme park in the US, and Harry Potter will most likely be pushing it up.

    Keep snorting your pixie dust.

  • @dinoman96 While it may be the ninth move visited theme park in the US today, it was seventh before. It has actually gone down over a million in attendance since its first few years. So, it wasn't as successful on its opening day, it was actually more successful in the first year or two but has become less successful as time went on. Even with Harry Potter, the needle won't move nearly as much to regain the more than a million in attendance the park has lost since the early 2000's.

  • @loonercrazy You are funny sir. it went down a million in attendance with no major additions in 11 years, and universal is still laughing their way to the bank, taking in the income. Harry Potter is one of the most successful intellectual properties of all time and people everywhere will want to experience the new island when it opens up, and tons of "disney families" Will leave their traditional WDW vacations behind to visit IOA... Just for fun try booking a vacation at UOR in the next month.

  • @howyou2 Seriously? You are in lala land. It is never a good thing to lose OVER a million in attendance. Problem was that Universal as a company didn't care about spending any big dollars over the past 11 years to put in anything new since the park did not live up to expectations. As for Potter, no doubt there is a following, but not enough of one to convince people to completely give up WDW for UO. IOA will steal attendance from the studios park next door before they steal from WDW.

  • @loonercrazy loosing a million in attendance over 11 years without adding any major attractions is pretty amazing . Why do you think Toy story 3 is opening on june 18th... Why do you think Disney is offering packages with tickets to universal as long as people stay on their property? They are doing everything to cover up the opening of the biggest theme park property EVER! If you dont think that will steal away sales from every park in the area, then you sir are in lala land...

  • @howyou2 It would be amazing if the park got 10+ million a year. When it is a park that only hit a high of 6 million and are now down in the high 4 million range that's not good. You cannot spin this any other way. You obviously must live in the sticks like Orlando or something. TS3's release is determined over a year in advance by the studio in Burbank and has no connection whatsoever to the parks. And Disney isn't stupid, they should try to make money of of Potter through creative pacages

  • @loonercrazy Hmm odd, as I originally heard of a different release date prior to the WWOHP announcement. I live far away from orlando, thank you. Also, since when has disney been afraid of any other major opening of any other park that they had to secretly buy tickets to offer with their packages? Personally I dont think Disney has the right to affiliate their property with Universal's Property... Also IOA even at that "low" number is still one of the top themeparks in the world.

  • @howyou2 When you say IOA is one of the top parks in the world then their ranking drops to low on the list of the top 20 parks. Still not great. And TS3 was planned as a June opening in 2010 for over a year now. June is prime for Hollywood and dates have to be locked in well in advance. Not sure where you heard the "rumors."

  • @howyou2 And Walt Disney Travel Co. is the #1 provider of travel packages to Orlando area parks. It is customary for them to negotiate tickets with UO and Sea World as part of their packaging. Nothing new there. As for the Potter ride being the "game changer" for IOA, it will move the needle up in 2010. But not for long. The problem for the Potter ride is that it is a thrill ride, which is not family friendly. That is IOA's overall problem and why the park has lost 1.5 million in attendance

  • @loonercrazy You know, Universal isnt trying to be Disney. They are trying to be family friendly, which they are for the most part, but they generally seem to try and appeal to the "over 10, too old for Disney" crowd. Second off The potter ride's restriction is 48 inches. The general public do not know it's a thrill ride... They just know it's a ride. IOA hasnt lost attendance because it's not family friendly, They lost attendance because they havent added anything major in 11 years.

  • @howyou2 You just don't get it. Thank goodness Disney doesn't have someone like you doing their decision-making. Family friendly is not limiting your experiences to a particular age group. Family friendly is for all ages from 3 to 93 and Universal is not that. That is a big reason why IOA and overall UO hasn't been able to truly increase their attendance threshold beyond a certain amount. No, they've gone down in attendance. Same for Universal Hollywood. You just can't argue with facts.

  • @loonercrazy Universal DOES have stuff for everyone. But more so in the 10-70 age group. they've gone down in attendance not because they arent family friendly, but simply because they dont change as often as disney.

  • @howyou2 You know kid, it's been fun bantering back and forth with ya. I'm proud of you for sticking up for your little park. Perhaps one day it will join the big leagues with the big boys in attendance. For now this glorified Magic Mountain is all yours to enjoy.

  • @loonercrazy Oh dont even try that. You and I both know that comparing IOA to magic mountain is like comparing disney to the same thing... You obviously just happen to be a angry pook who can reason with disney's poor choices but cant do the same to IOA or Universal. Get real man...

  • @howyou2 Haha, you make me laugh. IOA does not live up to Disney fully in total theming, diversity in attractions for the whole family, full range of entertainment offerings and success in attendance and income. Sorry my IOA diehard friend, but the comparison still stands. And I'm as happy as can be. Not angry at all. Just real.

  • @loonercrazy Sorry, but Disney is a string of how many parks? With how much land? I took my grandma to IOA, she enjoyed herself, and so did my 2 year old cousin... The only other park that isnt a disney park to get higher attendance than the UOR parks is Seaworld Orlando. But trust me this year that all is gonna change. Disney the biggest intellectual property ever. Everyone with a tv knows what disney is. They dont have to market anything and people would still come. Universal does well...

  • @howyou2 I'm happy for your grandma and 2 year old cousin. Unique individuals I'm sure. Hopefully IOA will hit 4.7 million this year. They are certainly on their way to take down Disney. Right, after 20 years Universal Orlando is about to knock WDW off its perch. I'm sure they are trembling in their shoes right now.

  • @loonercrazy I wish I was cool enough to get on YouTube and act like I knew what I was talking about but didn't really.

  • @loonercrazy That's some brilliant sarcasm. Disney is feeling threatened because none of their parks offer up what Universal is about to have on their plates. they have been using the same ol, same old techniques for their rides and shows since opening. Now Diseny will always remain on top until universal can find some way to expand in a way that Disney has done, but that doesnt mean Disney does it better. I'll take the better experience over your cheap dark rides with the same layout anyday.

  • @howyou2 Haha, you make me laugh. I heard this same argument back in 1990 when Universal opened and then again in 1999 when IOA opened. In either case Universal did not make a dent in Disney's numbers or dominance. I'm sorry, but one new ride that is not accessible for all ages will not be a game changer in the competition between the two properties. Disney will still be on top and Universal will still try to reach a measly 4.6 million (IOA) and 5.6 million (UO) in annual attendance

  • @loonercrazy @loonercrazy the new ride doesnt need to be accessible for all ages. it's a 48 inch height requirement so most children 3-7 wont be able to ride it, but it's not like they were alive when harry potter came out, and the movies are too much for them anyways. Have you read the reviews of this place yet? Fans have come out in tears of joy because of the realism! It will give Disney a run for it's money. It's already booked from the 28th-17th...

  • @howyou2 With all due respect, you don't get it. It can be the most amazing ride ever, but if it's accessibility limited to a specific age group, body type, and personal preferences (thrill vs. non-thrill riders) in the end it will have limited positive impact on the bottom line of attendance and revenue. Sure bookings are good right now, but those are all the Potter geeks coming out to see this first. Once the newness dies off so will any attendance gains.

  • @loonercrazy You sir, just dont get it. It may be a thrill ride, but people dont know that, and while some may not like the thrilling elements of it, Im sure they'll love the themeing. The height limit is 48 inches. Most children reach this height by age 8. I believe the ride would be too scary for anyone under that age anyway. It's a perfect thrill ride. I imagine it being no more intense then Spiderman.

Also, have you know idea how many people Potter appeals to? Ignorance at its best...

  • @howyou2 Yes, you are demonstrating ignorance at its best. The facts are in my favor here, so say what you want in the end I will once again be proven right. A park that has a height limit on a majority of its rides is not a family friendly park and this new Potter ride and 2 remodeled existing rides won't help overcome that image problem. IOA may reach 5 million, but it will fall back down into the 4 million range shortly thereafter. Pretty pathetic for this glorified Six Flags park.

  • @loonercrazy glorified six flags? You clearly just have something against universal...

  • @loonercrazy Honestly... ANY ride that IS accessible for all ages isn't going to be a game changer. Or are you going to try to convince me that the new Little Mermaid ride is a game changer?

  • @OhLookItsBrad I never claimed that Little Mermaid would be a game changer, but I can tell you that after all the HP freaks are done checking out IOA the attendance will fall back to a normal low for the park. HP is not a game changer for that park. DCA is already outpacing IOA in attendance by at least 2 million. It will take a LOT more than HP to make IOA a major player in the world of theme parks. Otherwise IOA gets as much in attendance as Knott's Berry Farm - a local amusement park.

  • @loonercrazy you sir are a fucking idiot

  • @loonercrazy LMFAO. look at u. ur so cute...gettin all hot and bothered becuz u kno Uni. really is pretty close to WDW. I'm pretty sure it's past ur nap time pal. Here's ur baba, off to dreamland tiger.

  • i ate here and loved it... its actually cheap and very yummy! :)

  • I must say...it's overly shaky.
