Has anyone else noticed that people who dislike Twilight don't have a good reason for disliking it? I haven't heard a single valid criticism of it. Everything from "omg the vampirez are sooooo lame lol" to "Bella is anti-feminist". None of them have any merit and tend to be made by people who haven't read the books (and I know that's a kneejerk reaction about critics but I've argued with them myself).

How exactly does that "ruin" the meaning of vampires? So they sparkle. So what? They still have a reason not to go out in sunlight and they're not the only vampires to ever be able to do so (Count Orlok from Nosferatu stands out in my mind).

I don't wish to be rude in the slightest. If you don't like Twilight, you don't like it. It's fine. But it just occurs to me that it's a picky reason to dislike something. Like those YouTubers who complain when vidoes are longer than, say, six minutes.
