The Holocaust and the Establishment of the State of Israel

Many ask "Where was G-d? Why didn't He answer the prayers of the Jews?" As a Christian I've always believed that G-d works through people and the Americans honestly believed that the fight against Hitler was truly a war of "good vs. evil". G-d worked through his Christian followers who were acting as G-d's hands. I honestly believe that is why America was so blessed in the late 40's and through the 50's. We were doing G-d's work in a less cynical way than the USSR or Britain was.
