Personally, I thought it was a very good cover. Nobody could duplicate the magic of the original duo on this recording, but these guys did well. Few people probably even remember this song. Elvis Costello is a true musical genius. I remember listening to "Watching the Detectives" as a senior in high school. I said Wow. This guy is on to something. Keep writing Elvis.
