Another video by me showing how to throw tomahawks for distance as well as showing actual throws of the aerobie epic search "Tomahawk for distance: Aerobie Epic"
I got one of these discs as a beginner for christmas and lost it, just had one handed to me the other day. Now that my thumbers are averaging around 150-200 yds Im goinna see what this bad baby can do for me. Also you can throw this disc upside down as a side arm and it will turn over in the air and take off like a bullet
the epic is a disc that you can tune, like bend the edges.
so every time u throw it hits the ground and the edges bend. it is not a consistant disc at all. you would have to tune it every time you throw. so dont buy anymore
@michaelhizar i know what an epic is......i just dont know how to tune it.......i was just saying they should make a video on HOW TO TUNE YOUR EPIC....cuz im sure everyone could use a 500 foot thumber-
I can't get it to flip over properly using a thumber or a tomahawk. Still it's easily my longest disc for those throws. And I actually like throwing it backhanded, works fine for me.
if you already throw a good thumber or tomahawk this is the disc for you. i saw it fly this past weekend ,thrown by an Am. player and he could easily get it 450ft. when the disc flattens out you wont believe how it accelerates like a missle.
damn, i had found one of these things a while back and didn't know what to think about it.. only tried throwing it backhand once or twice.. didn't like it but held on to it for a while and eventually 'sacraficed' it off a cliff at Dela in SC
but i wish i hadn't.. i have a pretty strong thumber already(300-400ft) wish i coulda tried it..
Another tip...it only turns over and flys straight into a headwind. Youd be out their all day trying that shot any other way. Works best for guys that can thumber/tomahawk really high.
Not to be a jerk, but you can't see the flight of the disc very well. You can't see how the disc turns over in the air. It'd be nice to see a shot from where it's thrown, and then a zooming shot tracking the flight as it gets further away. It would be really cool if there was a video out there that showed backhand and forhand shots with the disc "bent" both ways. Anyways, the more I learn about this disc, the more I want to buy one!
Thank you for posting this, there isn't another video out there on youtube that actually shows someone throwing this up close. I was starting to think the 500 footer with this disc was a myth.

@xTrettx So your average thumber is 600'? Think you got yards and feet a little mixed up.

I agree with The Manacoti. It's the first video I've managed to find.
