I'm glad the Police Chief had the sense to do the right thing even though the judge found him innocent of assault. Incidents like this should be heard by a jury. If a jury finds the officer guilty of assault, he/she should be fined and/or imprisoned. As for the judge: any judge that would find this man innocent should be investigated and possible suspended.
