Marina not everyone is an Orthodox Russian like you...In fact the English translated the bible from LATIN not Greek. In Western Europe the LATIN bible was the book used and in Eastern Europe (where you seem to come from) the Greek bible was used.....so point is: ENGLISH translated LATIN!

How she finds that out? Easy, just have a quick look in the Oxford English Dictionary, it has all the etimology in it. Now, if she she could do actual linguistics instead of the outdated 19th century philology that etimology is, I would be impressed!
