I've driven a 1987 V8 firebird and i love it!!!!!! And i'm european..... Fuck bmw's (at least the newer ones) 80's muscle cars are honest pure machines without those fucking computers that screw up all the time (remember the 2002 bmw 7 series?) i bought a new auto 02 t/a ram air(325 hp) it wasnt the fastest off the line but a 50 or higher roll was nice.that camaro had big bucks invested in it, i agree with about 500 horses,but the t/a always looks better

1066 hp huh? Lets see some dyno numbers or a video. BTW hp alone does not win drag races, weight, traction and gearing are as if not more important. Also it isn't "all about that bowtie" since I have seen plenty of Fords, Buicks, Olds and Mopars kick some Chevy butt at the drags. In fact I see more fox body mustangs winning than any other brand, mainly because they are light and can be VERY quick with cheap mods.

poocalvin, youtube is full of videos of imports beating camros because it's mostly kids who drive tuners and it's mostly kids who post on youtube. It doesn't represent reality or the norm. The american V8 is still the baddest plant on earth, 8000hp top fuel proves that. no turbo tuners running 4s that i know of.

For the record: My T/A has crushed several BMWs on several occasions. I'd also like to note that I destroyed my friend's Mercedes. So quit the talking about your fancy, overpriced German cars. Especially since you have no clue what you're talking about.
I'll give you the McLaren...but that's it. And, nobody cares about handling. It's all about being able to outrun somebody on those straights. Besides, I've never had a problem taking my T/A into tight turns at high speeds. :)

How are they shit? I like those cars.. I think hey handle pretty good actually. I have been in a 2000 trans am multiple times and curvy roads are good fun. So is owning all of the german pieces of garbage on the road. German cars are pieces of garbage. They arent reliable at all and slow. They may handle, but torque is way more fun than a little better handling..

well ljar28 for having a cam, those are good numbers which are reasonable, but thats an internal mod which should get you there, if not than damn. here in texas in the valley of rio grande, theres a guy who owns a 99 z28 and internally stock, meaning stock heads,cam. the guy only has mods outside the engine and is doing 11.7 if i am correct. and yeah that camaro is slow for being nitroused

It looks like that Camaro ran a 12.7. That is slow as piss for a nitrous car. I would guess it has nothing except for that kit done to it.
My bolt-on cam only Firebird ran a 11.8 on street tires. And a Firebird/Camaro is the same car.

i bought a new auto 02 t/a ram air(325 hp) it wasnt the fastest off the line but a 50 or higher roll was nice.that camaro had big bucks invested in it, i agree with about 500 horses,but the t/a always looks better

If you love "Cameros" so much, you could at least learn how to spell it. It's a "Camaro" not a "Camero." On another note, the Camaro obviously had more mods + nitrous and is there any more information on the Trans Am? You told us the Camaro was an SS (prob LS1) but you failed to tell us what type of Trans Am. It also looks like an LS1 but you can never know for sure what's under a hood.
