I adore Fairuz, but since everyone is comparing Leena's version with Fairuz's version, I must choose LEENA's. And I am Lebanese! Leena's voice is truly something special in this song. But Fairuz is best overall.

@moustafa13 Lena is singing in professional studio in 2000's... But in that video Fairouz was singing in 1960's in Damascus International Festival! Not in professional studio!

@pazgriega that's why we're not getting better i mean the arabs.. we have to believe in ourselves Fayrouz is a great artist i agree but u can still compare her with other new voices when singing the same song... for me i think for this song lena is way better than fayrouz

Of course comparison is on the table about everything and I like Armenians in general. What I meant is that I believe Fayrouz here is unsurpassed. After all, it's a matter of opinion.

No offense, (I adore the Armenian music, I have already uploaded some works of the Armenian artist Melkon Alemsherian in Greek mostly and Turkish and intend to upload more), but indeed I cannot compare the versions I have heard.

Do you know Lena? She is lovely, but this presentation by Fayrouz is unique.
