  • Last year, the Mens Choir in my school sang a song called Kyrie Eleison! So cool!

Oh, yeah, and boo Frollo! There are some Disney villains you can understand, but Frollo is so evil!

  • "Minister Frollo, the gypsy has escaped."

    "lolwut"

  • This song always makes me think of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen

  • Awe man you cut out my favorite part in the beginning when the cellos are just playing the opening notes and changing the mood to introduce Frollo's part after the members of the clergy have finished their chant.

But this is still awesome! Thanks for the upload!

  • the monks are singing in greek

  • If you loved this song look up the song Tu Vas Me Detruire, its from the french musical Notre Dame de Paris, the song previously mentioned is essentially the same thing but with crushy rocks involved. :) you will not be dissapointed its a fantastic musical that goes more with the book than this movie did.

  • Its not Fire Frollo it's just sexual needs for Esmeralda. Poor old fart his lustness is going crazy XD

  • if i get more then 10 thumbs up ill sing a female cover of this song and post it

  • @danifangurl2 I'd personally love to hear it, but I can't really say I support the whole "more than X" idea. If you're going to do it, do it for yourself, or what's the point?

  • @AnonomysPerson :) thanks for the advice

  • *Esmeralda picks up valentine card*

    "Be Mine"

    *she opens the card*

"Or you will burn. Love, Frollo"

  • This guy is such a pyromaniac.

"Hey, Ezzy, when we do it, LET'S SET OURSELVES ON FIRE TO SYMBOLIZE HOW SINFUL OUR ACT OF SIN IS."

  • Is it just me or does Frollo have a fire fetish?

  • through this whole spng i was like, "epic... bullshit." hes singing about how him desiring esmerelda. is turning him to sin. while hes been sinning the whole entire film! and epic, cause of the way he keeps saying hell, the chorus, and cause its in the most awesome movie created by disney! :D and hes robablly the best villan out there. im still a clopin fan all the way through though! <3

  • The title made me lol. I can just imagine some little kid saying this: "Mommy mommy! Can I do the Hellfire sing along?!"

  • @RamboZelda LMAO

  • I got what he was talking about when I was a kid....I feel like I had a very dirty mind back then as well :/

  • Man! You never realize it when you're a kid watching HoND, but when you're an adult there's only one conclusion you get from this number: Frollo seriously needs relationship counseling! Seriously! This guy is crazier than Jud from Oklahoma!

  • Frollo was never my favourite villain, but he has probably one of the best songs ever!

  • Francis Bonnfrey does not approve of burning down all of Paris!

  • @mooncatrose every time i hear that song, coupled with the name "Francis bonnefoy" i immediately imagine france contracting an STD (hence the burning vital regions)

  • Yes! Thank you for translating the Latin. :)

  • God: Now, let there be... oh, hang on... Frollo, would you mind if I...?

Frollo: Yeah, go ahead. I won't sue you this time. I need light for my villain song.

    God: What?

Frollo: Trust me. I'm a Judge.

  • hey is this the voice actor for the mortanus guy Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain?

  • Again, I got to post this. ..

"Solider: She's no where in the cathedral"

Frollo: "But how I...Never mind, Get out you idiot! I'll Find her. I'll Find her if I Have To Burn Down All Of Paris! ...After I finish this epic song which is why I told you tto get out!

  • god this song is fucking chilling, full of lust and lothing. thank your for posting this :)

  • Frollo killed here. :D

  • i love how you translated the latin :)

  • anyone else notice that the tune of this song is like the opening to a lot if not all the older disney movies? It's the part where the choir is singing.....

  • lol, he has a boner!

  • I just rediscovered this song. I don't even remember it being in the movie. But at least I can appreciate the fact that Frollo KILLED in this song.

  • I need someone to answer me this: What was the language the churchmen and hooded apparitions were singing in this song?

And what was the language of origin for "Beata Maria"?

I'm not sure if it's french, latin, or romanian

  • @okamireader5 Its not romanian or french. By the way it was written it could be either spanish, portuguese or latin but in the way it was spoken it is latin.

  • @okamireader5 It was definitely Latin :)

  • even though I love this movie..............

but dont u think this song would have been toooo inappropriate for kids to listen to????

"Destroy Esmeralda and let her taste the fires of hell, or else let her be mine, and mine alone..."

so technically..... the villain of this movie is telling kids that if he doesn't have Esmeralda, he's gonna kill her or make her suffer.....

    great movie.......

    a scary one tho.....

    LOL

  • @cdltaug27 . When I was little, I didn`t give a damn if the song was violent. If its Disney, I LOVED it LOL :-D

  • @LAYADR

as a kid...... yes i agree....... i dun really care what this song is singing about......WE JUST LOVE DISNEY!

but when ppl eventually grow older......... they will realize how this song is inappropriate in some way......

dun get me wrong...... I LOVED IT TOO.... TILL NOW!!!!!!!

but i just wanna point that out....

  • @cdltaug27 ...true...but, even though I`m older now {15 >.>} and I understand the lyrics and what the song is really about, it doesn`t change my love for it. No matter what, this and all the other songs from The Hunchback of Norte Dame will alwyas be my faves.

  • @LAYADR

    ok okay............. got it!

  • its funny cuz he is singing about wanting to screw her lol

  • Awesome job!

  • Sight i loved these movies. i grew up with quasi, simba, herc, tarzan and i aint ashamed to say it, the princesses. pocahontas, mulan etc. Unfortunately all we have now are a bunch of crappy actors and really dumb shows R.I.P. DISNEY, us 90's kids miss you

  • @colombiankidd305 Watch Mars Needs Moms for some good, dark Disney... AND IT HAS NO SINGING!

  • 0:49 chills

  • winintwin is right. "And to you, Father" is "et tibi pater"

  • The only good disney song...

  • what translator did you use?

  • i think i want to here judge turpin sing this song

  • what disney movie is this song from?

  • @Thunderfire8777 The Hunchback of Notre Dame

  • @DisneyVillain That movie is so dark but I love it!

  • i wish you can get this song on itunes!

  • No offence to people who like this song, but i don't see why it's so popular, cuz when i hear it, frollo's voice haunts my nightmares when i go to bed at night!

  • Frollo...is judge Turpin!!!!! lol. Because he's all like "this girl..is so much younger that me...and I want her." And he is, after all Judge Frollo, so...yeah. Also, I want him to just keep singing cuz honestly he doesn it well and has a good voice. Kinda atractive voice actually.

  • Is it just me, or is Frollo the scariest disney villain bc he is so real?

  • Is there a way to find it without the talking between the two verses? XD

  • I didn't even realize it said "Kyrie Eleison" O.O yey Latin!

  • there's a 'pius vulcher of the law' if i ever saw one! does he remind anyone else of judge turpin??

  • WTF is wrong with the 10 people who disliked this?!?!

  • While Frollo is not the most Evil of Disney's villains, he most certainly the best because his evil is one of the most realistic in the Disney Worlds, and it's sad at the same time

P.S. I love how Disney mixed in a lot of the Old Latin Mass' Confiteor (Confession) into the background of the song. While he confesses his lust for the gypsy and begging God's help to rid the temptation (one way or another), least he falls into sin ( adultery, murder, or both) because of the "burning desire." Sad.

  • @CrusaderAmerica i didnt think of it that way... and this also makes him diffrent than others... Because he dosent have power and he is only human just like the rest of us...

  • Awesome :D Now I can sing a song about hell and lust for a hot gypsy xD lol

  • Ah Frollo Because of you i have something to live for:

    Burning Gypsies!

  • So Frollo pretty much killed lots of people just because he had a raging hard on for a gypsy who hated his guts because he killed a lot of her people. That's some twisted love right there. Hey, Frollo! I think you need to take some love advice from Prince Charming, or someone. Jeez, thank goodness no one courts like him no more. -_-'''

  • @AddictedxToxLIFE Lol. In French history things like this have happened before. Henry of Navarre (Henry IV of France) was about to go to war with another country because the woman he loved did not love him and instead ran away with the Captain of the Guard. (Wait does this sound familiar at all?) Henry was also a commander the French wars of religion that persecuted several religious groups.

  • @PhantomRolePlayer that almost sounds like the plot of the Illiad. Helen left some king for Paris and that basically started the trojan war.

  • @PhantomRolePlayer Lol that reminded me of a Vocaloid song. Daughter of Evil. Or in this the reverse: Prince of Evil. but yeeeeaaah....

  • i LOVE this song! but now that i understand it, it's a bit frightening. but i still LOVE it! favorite disney villain song of all time!!

  • the greatest villain song of all time: dear god, i got hard by a gypse, make it go away or i will kill her

  • i used to be scared of this movie when i was little, so i have never seen the whole movie until yesterday, (and im 16 :P), and i have to say, this is the song that stood out among all the songs in THOND, and i have to say, this song is so dark, and it just speaks to you, by far probably my all time favorite disney song ♥ i miss the old disney DX tho i do have to say i did like Rapunzel~ but it does not compare to these types of movies...

  • It's my fault. If in god's plan, he made the devil so much stronger than a man. Kill me, Maria. Let the siren cast her spell, let her fire sear my flesh and bone. Destroy me, and let me taste the fires of hell, or else let people hang me up alone.

Minister Frollo, your horse wants you.

    What?

    (Neighs)

(Later after censored scene) Hellfire, dark fire, now Maria it's my turn. Burn me, or I'll ride on Madame Medusa. God have mercy on me. But I must on Madame Medusa, or I will burn.

  • One of, if not the best Disney villain song

  • Beata Maria, you know I am gay, of my virtue I am not justly proud. Beata Maria, you know I'm stupid than, the common, cheerful crowd. Then tell me Maria, why see her dancing there, why her sexy eyes still scorch my ****. I feel her, I see her. The sun caught in her raven hair, is blazing me to make me pee. Like fire, hellfire, this fire in my soul. This burning, desire, is turning me to Superman. It's my fault. I'm to blame. It is Snowball, my horse who sent this shit.

  • @hulleywood1 LMFAO!!

  • hey I'm greek and I haven't understand that they have greek phrases in the song! I mean kyrie eleison is a greek phrase! Good Job guys, well done :)

  • "Get out, you idiot. Can't you see I'm in the middle of a fucking musical?"

  • Lion King and Little Mermaid are great Broadway musicals. Hunchback should be done next. I would love to see this performed live with accompanying visuals.

  • i hate the new disney channel. this is soo much better.

  • least romantic man ever. i mean, whatever happened to roses and chocolate? what happened to be mine please. but nooooo his gifts are fire and his card says

    Dear esmerelda,

    BE MINE OR BURRRRRNNNNNN

    Love,

    Frollo

  • @aussiegrl12 To be a nerd, I must say that Romance is not what it's considered to be. The genre "Romance" is actually a dark and sad genre. It was considered "over-emotional" during the enlightenment. A lot of Romantic writers caused mass suicide among their readers due to their negative vision on life... so he is kinda romantic

  • It would be so awsome to hear Christopher Lee sing this

  • @Satsujin1 epicness would go to the moon

  • He realy love this girl :O

  • @PePSiMaX900 actually no, he's obsessed with his sexual desires for her, meaning he really wants to have his way with her, and it drives him to insanity. this song is all about his battle with lust and trying to be a holy man, with impure and devilish thoughts.

  • Anyon else get chills from this song? Its so deep! "He made the Devil so much stronger than a man!" ahhh that line gets me everytime! Its funny to think I use to watch this as a child and its so...over a child head I guess. Man I love the old disney!

  • hellfire is awsome

  • 10 People Dislike This?? I'll Find Them. I'll Find Them If I Have To Burn Down All Of Paris!

  • @TheDarkPrince926

    Nice frollo quote. :D

  • @ConorC96 Thanks :D

  • @TheDarkPrince926 You know..you said that five months ago and its still only 10 dislikes..i think you scared them away..Good job! :D

  • God dam it Tony Jay is awsome

  • ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh Disney said heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell D:

XD if only they weren't so censored now. I loved Disney darker, deeper side

  • Definetely a great family sing a long

  • "Be mine or you will burn!"

    Epic pickup line. :D

  • Help... I can't stop pressing the replay button...

  • @kathythehedgehog Welcome to the cult :P

  • Do you realize how ridiculous 'Hellfire' looks next to Sing-Along.

    Hilarious ridiculous.

  • I'm confussed if he wants herto die then why does he want her to be with him.

  • @myfriendstiggerandpo I think it's like, "if I can't have her, no one can."

  • Welcome to puberty Frollo!

  • I really wouldn't complain about the translations not being perfect, the very fact that you even acknowledged that they weren't just a "bunch of weird babbling" as my friends put it, notes intelligence.

    My friends are idiots... lol

  • @fineIdareyou Thanks:)

  • Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't it supposed to be "Et tibi Pater" instead of "Et tibit Pater"? I'm studying classical Latin, and "to you" is "tibi".

  • @winintwin Sorry I got the translation from the internet.

  • @DisneyVillain Get a 1962 Roman Missal to do Latin Mass translations!!

  • i was just thinking .... he does really believe whatever he says in the beginning ?! because if he does then he doesn't know what he is saying or for whom he is talking about

  • @christina290895

You need to realize that priests and abbots from this time period were so terrified of their own fate that they'd do ANYTHING.

  • This is most disturbing, dark, controversial and yet epic disney movie I have ever seen or will see.

  • Epic doesn't begin to describe this.

  • Go Koikeya!

  • when i first saw this years ago, i just thought he hated esmerelda, but now i look at it, and all i see is the lust in his eyes as he sings... this is probably the most perverse disney movies i have ever seen because of this scene alone

  • @dragoadvent Have you see the little mermaid? Check out the Priest during the Princes and the witches wedding scean.

  • The ironic thing? If he had had sex with her, he'd end up burning too.

  • When I was a kid, I thought that he, like, had a lust for her, but he thought it was sinful, so he needed to get rid of her, likewise, so he wouldn't be commiting a sin. I know it sounds retarded, but tell me if I'm right! I've been wondering ever since I watched this movie!

  • @JK4ever11 That's exactly what is happening.

  • It seems slowed down.

  • Nice valentine candy quote "BE MINE OR YOU WILL BURN!"

  • @imvugeek AAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA CRACKED UP RANDOMLY, MY MA'S LIKE WTF IS WRONG WITH U

  • @bungiecoocoo :D i'm flattered

  • @imvugeek

Thank you for the best mental picture ever! I almost want to start dating JUST so I can make those and give them to my date. That made my day.

  • @imvugeek What can I say, he was good with the ladies.

  • I really wanna see a live Disney version of this sssssoooo BBBBAAAADDD!!!!

  • @SPNchick theyve done all the "parent approved" versions. i wanna see a stage, half on fire with some guy running around singin this song

  • Got to be the best evil villain song ever.

  • My sis loves this song...frollo is by far the best villian out there. He can murder any1 and say it was God's wish...no 1 can do that as good as frollo. He is the BEST VILLIAN EVER NO 1 CAN COMPARE!

  • @jman12345ish The Fallen One is better.

  • @jman12345ish he also died in a way no one can compare; ursula stabbed, clayton hanged, scar eaten, mufasa trampled, Shan yu exploded, malecifent stabbed/fell, queen fall/crushed, but damn! FALLING OFF A TOWER INTO SMOLDERING LIQUID METAL?

  • This song in 2 sentences:

God, this gypsy gave me a boner.

Please let her make me little Frollos or let her rot in Hell.

  • Someone said that his song is basically, "Dear God, the gypsy gave me a boner. Make it go away or I'll kill her..."

  • lol this song is so epic but so wrong on so many levels

  • What a suggestive song. I think this movie should have been rated PG.

  • i just found this song a week ago and i watch it twenty times in a day in various languages. and i rewatched the movie. obsession? i think yes

  • I am fascinated with this song. If this movie was ever brought onstage, I'd love to play the role of Minister Frollo

  • French version is the best.

  • this song is to epic i still cant believe disney could make this kinda song

  • @yukimasaru Disney used to be super epic like this all the time. It makes me feel old just thinking about it.

  • Aw, he wants little Frollos!

  • @thales1davinci Thanks, now I'm gonna have nightmares, lol

  • @thales1davinci uhhh?

  • @thales1davinci uhh... he is just asking why hes lusting for her...cuz he knows hes commiting a sin. he doesnt want little frollos thats just werid...

  • @thales1davinci I thought that was very cleaver, but alas, in his old age, I don't think he has a chance. Well not alas really, he is very terrible. If he did have "little Frollos" as you say, we might have to throw them into the hellfire.

  • Awesome song

  • What is it about this song that makes it so addicting? I think I've watched this video over 20 times tonight, no joke.

  • best disney song ever or what?

  • believe it or not, I haven't seen this movie yet.

  • @jayl111792 O.O You should! It's epic.

  • I remember not really liking this movie that much as a kid but now I love it and I think it's because as a 4year old I couldn't really appreciate the plot and understand what was going on.

  • Prime example of Disney cartoons meant for adults. :) I loved this movie as a kid, but I had no idea what this song meant until I watched it again 10 years later and was all like "day-ummm"

  • This Song is sooooo epic *-*

  • Doesn't "Deus" mean God?

  • My sister used to cry at this part because it is scary and it was so cute and I thought awwww... I still cry at this part too, it is scary as hell's fire ; )

  • I am Italian and studied Latin for years. The sentences are taken from the "Confiteor", one of the first prays in the Catholic mass, and end with the famous "Kyrie eleison" supplication.

  • @wanderer300 Sorry!

  • The first sentence is missing: "Confiteor Deo Omnipotenti" = "I confess to almighty God"

"et tibi (tibit does not exist), pater" is uncorrect. The correct words are: "et vobis, fratres" = "and to you, brothers"

quia peccavi nimis = because I have greatly sinned

Cogitatione, verbo et opere = by means of thoughts, words and deeds

  • Comment removed

  • @wanderer300 I have taken Latin before and tibit is a word. It just has to be used in the right way. How would you like it if someone denied your existence, huh?!? hehe

  • Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea culpa mea maxima culpa: it's my fault, my fault, my greatest fault.

    Last lines are missing.

Kyrie Eleison, Kyrie Eleison, Christe Eleison: Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy. The words are ancient greek, but still remains in the liturgy.

  • Where did you get your translations? Because, as I was reading the comments, I got curious. So I put your translations in an English-Latin translator, and NONE of them matched what's here. And the same for when I did it with the Latin words. No matches. So, just curious, where did you get the translations?

  • Love the Latin!

  • I would yell at the screen "SHE'S NOT A WITCH!!!!!!!!"

  • @Nyanasama First time I watched this movie with my dad when I was, like, foru or something, that first one was my thought. Now that I rewatch it, my reaction is: "O_O Holy crap, when did I ever think Disney was innocent?!" Dang, I need to watch this movie again sometime soon...

  • Now see, parents back then actually gave a shit about their children. Now today, they don't give a fuck. You see kids watching sex and violence at the age of 5, and the parents don't care! While the parents fucked up the sequel of Hunchback Of Notre Dame, they fucked up their children later on. Thank you, Parents of America, for fucking up both a movie sequel and America's future; the children.

  • @BlairTheAwesome Wow! You really cut through the bullshit, don't you?

  • @toradrow777 Is... that a compliment?

  • @BlairTheAwesome Yes. It means you don't get bogged down by all the different opinions and lies from every Tom, Dick, and Harry; you go right to the very heart of the matter.

  • @BlairTheAwesome And you got parents who let their kids watch crap shows like Hannah Montana. You got parents who won't teach them ANYTHING about the world, they just plopped their kids in front of the T.V.

  • who could sing along to this XDDDD
