the Wendell Berry quote is great...and dead on - ego, ambition and justifying oneself seems to be a huge problem...
but yeah - can we build an ecosystem of business/andor social models that are inter-supportive... patterned and deployable...

i'm not sure it's necessary to pit these two points of view against each other - both/and --- we need to get to a place beyond this tit for tat way of looking at the problems...
