These are not the 3rd which is a military designation. Example 2nd Scots, 3rd Scots etc. Battle worn heroes of the Gulf and Afghanistan. I realise no insult was probably intended.

Strange how the drummers always seem to just 'blend' into the background, isn't it? Pipe bands are just so, well, pipe-centered, it is almost unfair how the percussion section is almost always overlooked.

Strange how the drummers, the ones responsible for keeping the rythem and the STEP can be totaly out of step with each other and the rest of the band

Cant get my head round the word bagpipers
.The correct name is Pipers and they play solo as a Piper and in a band as Pipers,which usually has drummers in it. kk

Very good but would prefer the name Pipe Band as there are drummers playing.
