i got stuck for pretty long at the second-to-last stage in the first castlevania. then i got stuck for an even longer time at the stream level (right before you enter the caslte in this game) but neither of those are ANYTHING compared to how long i was stuck in this level.

@MetalSmasherGaming it beat me and laughed at me so many times i nearly gave up. then after the sad/desperate part after 0:08 ended i got up and said "NO, I'm beating this fucker!" and beat the boss using save states. i felt bad and tried without them and failed. then i got back up to him again and that time i beat him fair n square on my second life. i felt like i was the king of the world

The potential of next gen consoles has nothing to do with gameplay, therefore the potential you mentioned must be referring to the graphics and processing capabilities which are required for 3D environments.

Don't act stupid, just because you don't mention something explicitly doesn't mean that the inherent meaning is not there.

Previous 3D castlevania titles have paled in comparison to the 2D ones, so your argument for "potential" is defeated.
