I have a 2008 edge. I rented a 2011 once a I didn't like It at all. There are too many buttons on the steering wheel. And undone care for the two 4" screens in the guage cluster. They should have kept It way more simple

My dad almost bought a 2011 Ford Edge Sport but no Ford dealer within 300 miles had a blue one without the panoramic sunroof and the navigation system. He got a Toyota Venza. He liked the Edge a lot though.

@saabkyle04 after about 4:19 you called out the engine and fuel economy specs of the 2WD Explorer large utility. The Edge uses the same engine but is rated at 285hp/253tq. and 19 city/27hwy/22 combined for 2WD fuel economy. I don't mean to sound like a detail troll (lol), I'm a car nut so I just had to note that and give you a heads up. I love getting to see the in depth videos and look forward to new ones. BTW what is your opinion of the new Explorers compared to the older ones?

@yamahonkawazuki Its shaking b/c the camera is mounted to the right rear section of the car which is a very thin fiberglass layer with about a 2 inch gap from the metal, so it shakes very easily from just the ride, but with the camera mounted to it, camera shows more vibration then the eye would usually pick up. Also EVERY exhaust has some play, the Panamera's does look a tad loose in the video, but its the effect of the shaking GoPro as well as the exhaust moving slightly.

@MrMBMW93 The huge arm is practically on every car with a lift gate, and the Explorer doesn't have one which is a big step up and it's adjustable on the Explorer. This isn't cheaply put together at all.. and I would know being a owner of 2.. I paid 47k for a fully loaded one, and I do think its a bit too much.

@urbanbboy well when you live in a country where little is holy and all you get this. granted it is underpowered. ive driven one as a rental in teh uk area. wasnt happy with it. being used to american vehicels. BUT fwiw. not bad at all. now back to your issues. IF you take care of it and not "dog it out" aka drive her hard, youll do fine. is it manual or auto. plus breakers will be a good source of parts for them and not terribly expensive. all in all good cars

The "fog lights" button that you hit next to the headlight dial, is actually for the interior lighting. I know we all aren't perfect, I know I certainly am not with my reviews, but just thought I'd share a couple things just for future references. Apart from that, another fantastic review as always.

Couple things here dude, just coming from someone who works for Ford for future reference. First off, due to the lighting, I can't tell whether or not it's the Tuxedo Black Metallic or the solid non-metallic Black, but I'll take ur word for it. Tuxedo Black is in jeopardy now due to the pigment in the paint being made in Japan (affected due to the earthquake). Also, the fog lights are LED strips that come on automatically with the headlights.

Just worked on the same exact Edge yesterday. Good that you always show whenever a car has a smart key system, but you make it seem so slow. Particularly on BMWs. The lock and unlock delay on this car, as with many, is pretty much instantaneous as soon as you touch whiter part you want. Just feels like you portray them as being delayed in your videos, but maybe that's just me.

Firstly the front styling is so painfully out of proportion, that even in this day of age, when so called 'aggressive styling' is in vogue, it still manages to be repulsively ugly. @AtanasiuGabriel The capless filler will only allow a standard gas pump nozzle or a special filler that comes with the vehicle. Someone else cannot get anything past the capless filler unless he or she has the special filler or a gas pump nozzle. This system is more secure than a standard locking gas cap.

@petree50 Not expensive on eBay. Get a good used one from a reputable eBay seller. I just purchased a Canon SD1400is, the same as Kyle uses, for $108 USD. It's got a few scratches on it but works perfect. Better than paying 300 bucks.

Defenitely the best looking key out of all Ford's! I don't like the Ford key with remote start buttons on it, this keyfob thing is better looking. That smartkey thing on the door of the Edge looks confusing compared to the Hyundai one. I like it better when you push to lock, push to unlock, etc. I've also never seen a "capless" fuel tank before!
