She's wrong, the US doesn't need to raise it's taxes. There is crazy government spending going on. Raising taxes only supports it and allows it to continue. Without it, politicians will still continue to spend but the dollar will start to tank even more harshly.

Eventually they'll be forced to reign in spending. After that point taxes should be exactly proportional to government spending. No borrowing, no inflation.
