Was this battle held during 1998? Morimoto certainly looks very different in Iron Chef America... I mean he looks bigger and darker in the American version
Trick is to keep the skin on. But you got fat with the skin, but if you take it off it will be drier than the Gobi desert. So when you roast it, prick it with a fork several times over and the fat will cook right off.
When did japanese start celelbrating Christmas!

Ha, "omar lobster"—should be "homard lobster". Pretty sure this lobster didn't write the Rubaiyat.

They said this is the last battle of 1998...so this was obviously during the 1998 holiday season.

This was filmed 10 years ago and 10 years in the American restaurant market will age even the most youthful of us.

If the turkey is dry, it means you didn't cook it correctly.

Thanks archo for another great battle!

You just have to know how to cook it right, my mom can make it pretty good.
I also heard that putting bacon on the turkey helps to keep it moist...if you don't mind all the fat that is.

Blech. fat, fat, and more fat. I'll stay away from it, thank you very much.

._. I can't stand turkey. I don't like the taste of it, because it tastes so darn dry.
