  • scooby geographic :) no bullshit no pain

  • best channel on youtube... a great man... keep up the great work because this really helps so many people

  • So my only question is that if this is true then why have bodybuilders been squatting for years and years and you never hear of widespread back injuries when they are using proper form? I believe the body can handle weight such as this when it has been trained properly for years. I would beg to differ also on your point that people are not built to have weight on their shoulders it seems as though people carrying things on their backs and shoulders has happened since the beginning of time.

  • "longer time under tension for the lower body will elicit a greater full-body growth hormone response while also stimulating the formation of new capillaries, which will improve nutrient delivery."

From p. 197 of a book called "The 4-Hour Body" by Tim Ferriss. He gained 34lbs of muscle in four weeks, check out the book if you can't believe it. The guy is on top of things, tons of data + experts backing up his book. I think there's something to this whole squat thing that you aren't getting.

  • Poppy what?

  • Dog gonnit! I'm on my iPod touch and I wanted to tap "comment" but accidentally tapped "Flag as inappropriate." sorry scooby ur vids are great, it was an accident. Apple should fix that in the next software update.

I'm probably running out of characters, so I'll ask my question later.

  • Any and every exercise has to be done with proper form to help keep you injury free, I have nothing against doing squats, but I did retire doing heavy squats to build leg size. My preference is the leg press for that, especially with a Nebula leg press machine. :)

  • dammit Hans. Wrong again

  • POPPYCOCK

  • LMAO From this diagram I can tell your an engineer Scooby.

  • Big legs is where its at.

  • I <3 leg press machines.

  • Squats make me feel weird.

  • There are no substitute for squats PERIOD. I don't give a monkeys what you say. No other exercise is going to hit the core muscles the same way. Basketball? What a joke.

  • @TheMightyLu Maybe if you ever worked out or played sports you're realize that there are substitutes to squats.

  • @Y2KFreeYaa There are dozens of different squat variations. You aren't going to get the same core strength doing leg presses and playing a bit of basketball. Ask any endurance athlete or bodybuilder.

  • Your spine is very very strong against compression, just take a weight you can handle and squat with proper form. It's when your spine has to take weight twisting where things get screwed up...

  • this video makes squats look like a bad exercise. they're not: most top athletes (NHL, NFL) in the world perform them. the difference between them and others is lifters must be taught to do them right or else injury is prevalent, but thats like all exercises.

  • @Putitinajar I definitively didn't think scooby demonized squats or anything, he made some good points and no one should be squating if he/she doesn't know how do the exercise with good form. I wouldn't say squats are quite like any other exercise because the risk of injury is significantly bigger and it's pretty stupid to learn good form through error and trial (as you can with most other exercises) since you can get a nagging/permanent injury from bad form.

  • hey scooby is it possible to have less testosetrone at 21 than you did at 18? and can it make a difference in how you build muscle?

  • ways to minimize squat risk: wear a belt at medium tightness to keep the core aligned; do less weight and higher reps; do lower back exercises (raises and stiff leg dead lift) to keep core back strength firm and aligned

  • I have all from B-D. I've been properly instructed by a trainer at the gym, my family has no back problems, and I squat in the cage with the safety bars. But I'm only about 16 and a half, but I've been squatting for several months now. Should I keep squatting?

  • scooby, tell me PLEASE why you always like to speak german and name your pets and "hans" german.

    i live in germany xD

  • Nice tits.

  • Im almost 17, does that mean that i shouldnt do squats?

  • @supercollider012 You can do squats, I did when I was your age. Just make sure your form in doing them is correct as possible. Now unless you're into competitive powerlifting, preferentially speaking, I wouldn't do heavy squats.

  • "poppycock" haha, Scooby you are hilarious!

Another great video, thanks man :)

  • scooby, how come your shoulder rage isnt too wide? do you exercise your neck ?

  • I also think that the squat is a very overrated exercise. I get a lot more quad stimulation from leg presses and hack squats. Everytime i did squats my lower back failed before my quads did.

  • Lunges are great too! Hold some bumbells or olympic bar

  • Scooby what is it that you say at the end of your videos? It sounds like gibberish! :)

  • Hey scooby I am fairly fit and muscular do one hour of exercise a day I eat breakefest lunch and fruit throught the day. I was just wondering how many new potatoes should you eat to start losing wieght I am not fat but I have a bit of belly fat that prevents me form geting a sixpack. Thanks.

  • scooby, what's ur opinion on deadlifting?

  • Great video Scooby - thanks for posting!

  • Heavy leg presses and poor hamstring flexibility can lead to the load bearing on the lumbar spine in flexion which is not good. You need to mention this before some noob loads up 500 pounds on the leg press does his lumbar damage and wonders what happened.

  • scooby, I love you man. not only are you hilarious, but your incredibly accurate and informative :)

  • can you do a video on deadlifts/trap bar deadlifts? i thought that your opinion on this exercise would be interesting to hear, because its one of the top 3 "king of exercises" in most bodybuilder's books and my personal favorite exercise. thanks :)

  • Poppycock! :)

  • Scooby, what is your take on "Udos Oil"? Thanks.

  • I'm going to have to agree with Scooby on this one. Honestly, leg presses hit my quads and glutes harder and more effectively than squats do.

  • This was probably the best video you have made yet scooby

  • Keep 'em comming Scooby! Don't listen to the haters. I appreciate your opinions and I've been lifting regularly for 20 years now.

  • @scooby1961 hey can you show the correct way to do leg presses because I know that pushing from the toes and other incorrect methods can harm knee joints

  • Sorry, I had to turn off comments for all videos except this one - a few people ruining it for everyone. :(

  • @scooby1961 Hi Scooby,

Really enjoying your videos :) just one question i have to ask, and i think you are the best person to ask this :D

My question is: I am 170 lbs and body fat % 10.66 and i want muscle but i want to lose the fat. so how best should i approach this : should i bulk up first then lose the fat(( but if i bulk up first, and then slim down, i would lose muscle tissue?)) or should i slim down and then bulk up ? i am totally lost i hope you can help me :)

    Thank You very much :

  • @Jahangeeri6 Eat healthy (look at his website), do cardio (it takes a hell of alot of cardio to lose muscle tissue if you're eating healthy), lift weights. Dont worry about bulking, cutting

  • @Issaquan5 Thanks man .. really helped :)

  • @Jahangeeri6 no problem. Its really a lot simpler than we all think!

  • @scooby1961 Hey scooby i notice you use a microwave a lot. I have been told it messes around with the nutritional value of the food that you heat up in it. Do you know anything on this subject?

  • @adetuyi420 Dont believe everything you hear! A microwave is a great tool in helping create good nutrition in the time limits of modern life.

  • @adetuyi420 try not to use the microwave buddy it is not good

  • @MichaelDimaso CAN they be harmless? They are harmless. Unless you mess up.

Buy Starting Strength by Mark Rippetoe. Know what you're doing. Do it right. Never look back.

  • If your body is at risk from performing an exercise, then you should avoid it and find an alternative. The issue is not the squat, it's that form is CRITICAL in those compound exercises like squats, deadlifts, clean & jerk, etc.

  • exercise. ofc its not. but hey, are bench presses a natural exercise ? you reckon ppl 100.000 years ago use to bench press tree's that had fallen on top of them? or curls? did ppl curl for survival? you pathetic scooby giving shit advice to naive and unexperienced gym "newbies". you should be fucking ashamed. Deadlift, bench and squat all the way ppl. fuck you scooby.

  • @dyrehaven You call someone a cunt and a faggot for disagreeing with you? Wow you sure are a bitch, I bet you have 0 friends. I hope you break your neck tonight.

  • @Nerevar1990 When people resort to personal attacks rather than reasoned arguments to support their points, its usually a sign that they dont have a lot backing up their views.

  • @dyrehaven grow up

  • @dyrehaven he's not saying dont do it, he's pointing out alternatives and giving actual useful advice to people, he's not 100% correct all the time but does a fucking great job

  • you're a such a fucking faggot scooby. troll harder you massive cunt. You make it sound as if a beginner, my no weight lifting experience will start doing 495 lbs squats. if a beginner loaded up almost 500lbs worth of weight on the oly bar and unracked it, ofc his spine and the rest of his body would be on a lot of stress. But if you work your way up you automaticly become stronger in all your stabilizing muscles and your core can take a lot more. another thing, you say its not a "natural"

  • @dyrehaven Slow down, mate. I agree with you, but have some respect for the dude. You can’t speak with people like that just because you disagree with them. Learn some courtesy.

  • @dyrehaven He makes valid points.... unfortnately there are a lot of dumbasses in the gym who do things the wrong way and end up hurting themselves. Weight lifting can be so good for you, but at the same time, it can also be VERY dangerous.

  • Damn, I squat 24/7 I should stop squatting so my spine won't compress.

Seriously, if you do it for <30 minutes a few times a week you won't matter.

  • Mark Rippetoe has not seen this video, and he probably disagrees with it.

  • @ZeekyBoogyDoog ...probably?

    *Definitely

  • SQUATZ,BENCH PRESS, DEADLIFT

    Main exercises

  • One thing I don't understand is family history of back problems. I've never known physical injuries to be hereditary. You bring up good points, but I fear this will give people more fuel to not work out their legs. Nothing irritates me more than the curl monkeys who work out their pecs and guns 6 days a week but never work out their stick legs because they, "do it playing basketball."

  • @themediaprophet LOVE the term "curl-monkeys" !!!! So descriptive and it just brings a smile to my face visualizing those folks :)

  • @themediaprophet I wouldn't have thaught so either, but my dad, my cousins only on my dads side, my aunt (dad's sister) and my sister all have pretty bad back problems. I have two herniated discs myself and avoid squats like the plague. My cousins were so bad that they have had their entire spines fused and my dad is permanently disabled from disk issues. It can happen. On my mom's side everyone is fine.

  • @themediaprophet there is no such thing as hereditary injuries. A friend of mines dad has bad knees as he got older and his son my friend is also starting to develop the problem, not because of injury just because that part of their body is weaker than say yours or mine.

  • still doin the scream in the pillow haha i like it.

  • Hey scooby, great video btw. But what is that term you use at the end of your videos? Like some kind of different language or something? I've always wondered what it meant Lol

  • @scooby1961

Hi, I want to ask you this :

I'm a 20 year old male, I'm 173 cm tall, my high hasn't changed from the age of 15. Is it posible for me to grow any taller ? If so, what exercises should I do, and what kind of food should I eat?

  • Hey Scooby, Great Video. Does this mean Dead-Lifts are a 'No, No'? I kinda don't like them because Im afraid of hurting my back in the future (I don't currently get pain when doing then), but i feel they give me a good workout, what should i do? thanks

  • @58jtaylor I have some backinjuries myself, and i love to do deadlifts. they make my back stronger, so my pain issues get less :)

  • @Kixat Yeah I like the Dead-lift. Those and Pull Ups are pretty much the only back workouts i need.. You mentioned that you have an injured back, does your injury prevent you from using too much weight? or have you strengthened your back enough that you can lift heavy now?

  • @58jtaylor yes, it prevents me from lifting to much atm. But i am increasing the weight every 2 weeks by a bit. currently making me lift 10x 120% bodyweight, as long as i keep my form tight it doesn't hurt, But the moment i'm not using proper form it starts to sting. At that moment i know i have to lower the weight a bit until i can handle it. You will keep the pain every now and then though, you will simply minimize it by training. And some stretching or massage there does wonders :)

    grtz.

  • @scooby1961 or anyone else who can help.. I have been having a sharp knee pain when doing squats or dead lifts. I watched my form and it seems pretty good knee is staying inline with the ankle etc.. Could I be over running and causing it or is it directly related to my leg workouts? Any help on this one :p

  • very good video...i knew about the risks and how dangerous squats are...thanks for making it easier to understand for me and others

  • i could have used you as a physics tutor last year lmao.

  • Scooby you are an amazing fitness professional! thank you for taking your time to helping us with your funny and informational videos. this video is great! you need to have your own tv show!

  • got a question about your 'crunch for 6-pack abs' vid.. i'm a girl with a flat stomach but just not much definition, i really want a toned defined stomach, what would you recommend for this? how many crunches a day or anything else? thanks! :) also any bum toning tips?

  • @jacaso1 make sure you have burned the fat off the ab region if not then run an hour every day and watch your diet. If you want deeper abs then do heavyer weights once a week.. If you want to keep them flat like they are then do abs every day really light.. Hope this helps

  • In my personal experience there is no substitute for deadlifts and/or squats. They don't just strengthen the legs, but also your trunk and core muscles that are basically impossible to reach with regular leg presses or other isolation exercises. When I first started doing heavy deadlifts and cleans in addition to my regular lifts I gained so much muscle so quickly that people started swearing that I was on steroids.

  • great video scoob, i bet u are an engineer

  • @sikamikan He actually is haha!

  • I dont do squats.my knees pop and i have episodes of sciatica as well...thats part of the reason i dont do lunges either.i know leg extensions are terrible but i could do those instead? im sick of doing just calf raises.....

  • If you want enormous quads go mountain biking. My quads are freaking enormous because of that. I go every day hour and a half, my legs are eternally sore.

  • ich kenne ihren Gartenzwerg Hans ;)

  • I challenge Scoobies logic that squats are bad for the spine due to un naturally high compressive loads. I think our backs have adapted well enough to cope with such loads. Think hunter. Caveman hunts and slings carcas over shoulder to bring back to cave. There is a potentialy big compressive load. Also the load is not all compression. there is quite a large curvature to the spine to start off with. So this would result in bending. Please correct me if I am wrong!

  • @johninapeartree I think the point of a good Squat form is to bring the force to be 100% balance compressive load on the vertebrae. Any unbalance compression will result in higher pressure and shearing force which is the real culprit for spine problem. Natural curvature is what make those vertebrae balance and reduce shearing force.

Yes I do agree that squatting is not unnatural (if it is then most excercises are). But Scooby makes the right point that it's dangerous (not worth building muscle)

  • What about squats with the smith machine? Wouldn't that give better support and form for your back?

  • @callog1 Massively increases shearing forces acting on your knee. Much better to learn good form, do full squats and progress loads at a safe pace.

  • @callog1 They're much more dangerous than squats and also provide the same load. Smith machine squats are, in fact, the worst exercises you can do for your legs google squats smith machine stronglifts and you'll see (I can't give links for a reason unknown)

  • I'd like to learn Scoobish! Is that available with Rosetta Stone?

  • lol i dont know about you scooby but after a heavy leg workout, my basketball game is pretty weak

  • what about goblet squats? Holdig a dumbell in front of you? I find that to be very beneficial and you must keep your core activated while doing them.

  • @viking1205 I start all of my clients on goblet squats, or if they're really deconditioned w/ ball on the wall squats or goblet squats with extended arms.

It's a precursor to a back squat and allows one to hit proper depth without having to round the back as much or falling backwards due to flexibility issues. At high reps it's also a good dynamic flexibility exercise for the hamstrings, hip flexors, and calves.

  • Most untrained adults should almost never put anything over 200 lbs on their back until they've got technique down imo. 400+ lbs does not equal 400+ lbs on the leg press...a weakling could still leg press 500+ and squat <200 for example. There is no true substitute for the squat. Most untrained people should go for the leg press first along with light squat technique work, eventually* progressing to full squats if possible. I have a 60+ female client squatting 3/4 her bodyweight with no problems

  • Thats why its better to do less weight and more reps

  • Jesus, Scooby didn't try to persuade people into not doing squats and he didn't talk sh*t about the exercise as a whole either. H emerely pointed out myths and facts about the exercise and recommended who should pursue it and who should not. He even said that squats are a great exercise -__-

  • PERSONAL QUESTION FOR SCOOBY:

I see you have a very nice home. May i ask what your job, or what was your job or career?

  • hi scooby...can you help me with something ? i'm doing cardio 30 min/day ..but if i do 30min(afternoon) and other 20-30min(evening)..is good or to much? pls let me know...thx(sorry for the question at this video)

  • sry leg press machine, I meant

  • I'm wondering if belt squats (with squat belt not with dip belt) are a safer alternative for the spine and probably cheaper than a bench press machine or squat cage?

  • lol Funny hat XD

  • ok, wide clavicles and clearly chest is your genetic strong point. You also look like you have NEVER trained another muscle on your body more than a year past beginner gains. Even your muscles (pecs and delts) are sloshy and lack any semblance of density/quality even considering the amount of time you've reportedly been under the bar, leading me to believe you have never moved some heavy iron. But you are likely around 210 give or take around 12-15% bodyfat and that is a good job given your age.

  • Yeah scoobs, we've probably ALL wanted to know about the fish for the last 2- 3 years lol. Next video show us your secrets to keeping your immaculate zen garden, and I bet there's more fish in the water feature (probs the pocket ab machine is in there too).

  • Hi, I want to ask you this :

I'm a 20 year old male, I'm 173 cm tall, my high hasn't changed from the age of 15. Is it posible for me to grow any taller ? If so, what exercises should I do, and what kind of food should I eat?

  • Comment removed

  • this guy reminds me of conan the adventurer..minus the voice and the ..well hat

  • I'm still gonna do squats. :D

  • @eeshenful he didnt say you shouldnt?

  • lol all the hater comments reminds me of that commercial from planet fitness showing a dumb muscle head haha

  • @JoshLAful you retard, masturbation is good for your prostate.

  • Comment removed

  • @JoshLAful Stop jerkin it, build some mass and get some real girls.

  • @JoshLAful Scoobys got a section on the topic of masturbation on his website. I suggest you check it out.

  • @jetblackninja1992 Thank's a lot!!

  • @1991thechamp and leads to rape

  • @killzone474 lol

  • scooby, I have never hurt myself from squatting but i have hurt myself from leg pressing because i pulled my back. so how is leg pressing safer from squating? you sir, are wrong.

  • @rzheng3489 You can't say he is wrong because it's obvious that you were doing the leg press wrong. I am not saying that squats are bad because i do them, but i also do the leg press, and i have seen people do the leg press wrong and hurt there knees and back so don't blame Scooby for your mistakes.

  • @supermoose5 i am not blaming scooby for any of my mistakes, nor am i blaming him for me hurting my back. in this vid he is explaning how the leg press is safer than the squat, but in my personal experiences, that is not true. and i might have been doing them wrong but i still think squats are much safer than leg pressing.

  • Squats is one, if not my favorite leg exercises, then combined with leg curl machines it will give you a perfect total leg workout. Squats are not supposed to target the spine, the weight are not supposed to be focused there but to merely balance your whole body to avoid injury. The trick in doing squats is to lean forward, back straight, head looking forward, legs parallel to the ground. Both knees should be right above your foot, but do not lock it when lifting up or else it would buckle.

  • @davedexterz

Lol ervery weight you line on your upper body stress the spine. You need a good technique that your spine don't get hurt from that stress.

  • OSCARS FTW! im surprised they didnt mess up your aquatic plants.

  • Want good legs? Play football, or as you American's call it - 'Soccer'

  • The leg press is a good exercise, but I see two problems with it.

    1. The 450lbs may not be going through the spine, but they are now going through the hip. Not everyone can handle this. There are some people who could do the squat but not the leg press.

    2. In many patients/clients I've noticed at the bottom of the LP, flexing of the lumbar spin under pressure occurs, which means that you have a force that simulates that begging for a prolapsed disc.

Bottom line: diff strokes for diff folks

  • i have to wake up 4:50 am to go to the gym 5:50 and i catch the bus so i am in the run and dont eat breakfast meal dont have enough time digest it. since they say u should 2 hours to let you food digest. thanks scooby appreciate it!

  • ive read many articles and have different opinions they say you should not eat carbohydrates when tryin to lose fat. such as breads, rice, potato etc.. i usually eat once slice of whole grain bread and a peach before my cardio which is boxing and excercise drills. what is your opinion on this? i am reall big follower i think your videos are great nad heard you say also that you shouldnt eat brea wheat or something to that sort. also what would you recomen to eat before cardio

  • Like your sketching. Here is a good book to have around for life drawing. Hope you enjoy traditional tools. Sharp pencils are your friend. Keep'm sharp. Giovanni Civardi is a good book author to check out.

  • your nipples are horny!

  • so the spine is designed to be horizontal rather than vertical??.... interesting, I wonder why humans walk on 2 legs instead of 4

  • @Scooby1961 I've watched many of your videos & in one of them, you discussed the rate in which an average adult male can gain lean muscle in one year. At one point you also mentioned how teenagers who are growing through puberty can gain muscle mass at a faster rate.. What I'm trying say is, I wanted to make a video suggestion & ask you something. Could you possibly make a video evaluating & explaining how muscle affects strength & flexibility? Like a formula? Depending on the muscle group..

  • Hey Scoob, could you do a similar vid on deadlifts...I feel that it is fair easier to mess your back up doing these than you would for squats....I am having difficulty with the form on deadlifts

  • @dar1e08 you only mess up your back, if you try going all out for singles, decide to be a ass and impress people, or have other weal links as for secondary supporting muscle groups in the dead, i mean i been doing since 2001 , and no i didnt dead lift for 1st 10yrs of training, but no problems, but yes squat is far more dangerous than the dead any day, many variables lead to you having bad form problems, weak grip, traps, lumbar muscles, feet placement, drive, transfer of weight throughout lift,

  • @dar1e08

weird, i'm hurting my back with squats, but not with deadlifts

  • @scooby1961 I squat polar bears...is that dangerous?

  • One thing to remember for any exercise, always have your spine supported.

  • How do you tell them apart? Nice names for the them though. Thank god there's not one called Adolf :))

  • Anyone who gives and "informative" video with their shirt off should likely be discounted. What a loser!

  • 2:45 the guy on the left seems to have scoliosis

  • @10beez As does Scooby. Since early childhood. Didn't stop him from being fit and strong.

  • aahh guys, don't do that leg press! the one thats tilted by 45 degrees is harder! ;)

  • I'm a beginner....so is doing squats with NO weights ok for my spine?

  • @wodahsking Sure.

  • @wodahsking moron listen what the guy has 2 say! offc u can

  • @wodahsking

As a matter of fact, doing squats WITH weights is okay for your spine, as a beginner, or anyone for that matter. Just keep good form and go low enough. Lower than Scooby here suggests.

Squatting heavy with good form is, in fact, GOOD for your spine since it strengthens the whole posterior chain. Just use common sense and learn from someone who knows.

  • @AeacusCanti The dangerous "Squats are great for EVERYONE" myth you are promoting here is exactly the reason I made this video. Did you bother to watch this video or did you comment? I outline perfectly resonable criteria for who should do squats and who should avoid them.

  • @scooby1961 how about doing squats with body weight? that seems to work for me and gives no back problem :D.

  • @VanMedia You can do them, but you'll get neither strong nor build muscle. You'll just build endurance.

  • @Lakkhamu bodyweight training won't give muscle? you blind? google bodyweight programs. those people get ripped like %@# it just takes a bit longer.

  • @Kixat Ehem, those guys PROGRESS using bodyweight. They do pistols for example and aren't just content with bodyweight squats. If they do bodyweight squats they'll get to nowhere. Same thing for every other body part, eg push ups to crucifix rollouts. Try doing push ups, chin ups and bodyweight squats only for 3 years and send me your results.

  • @Lakkhamu ever heard of training dry? , you don't have to train MASS you can just train ur muscles so they stick out alot more. Friends of mine don't go to the gym, they only do all kinds of pushups, pullups, chinups at home. and they are quite ripped. And if you think people won't progress with bodyweight squats lolz, you should try it for a month. Do em slow, do em fast, as long as you do them clean you will definatly benefit from them.

  • @Kixat On the contrary, I’ve quite benefited from doing bodyweight squats in my rowing years. And what I was trying to say was that they’re doing some kind of pushups, and that probably includes pike pushups, judo pushups, roller pushups etc. and all different kinds. Also I’m very sure that those friends of yours do Bulgarian split squats, pistol squats and explosive step ups BODYWEIGHT (Hence bodyweight squats) and that’s what you mean by only bodyweight squats… Right?

  • @Lakkhamu you're right about building endurance but you're wrong about building muscles... i did build muscles by doing squats with body weight, not as much muscles as i would have if i did it with weights but hey, i'm working out at home and also it minimizes risk of injuries.

  • @VanMedia Kudos to you then. You may want to look up the leg exercises I’ve mentioned, they are also injure-free and are more potent at building muscle than only bodyweight squats ;)

  • @scooby1961

Thanks for the Physics lesson, it made me smile.

  • @wodahsking Should be, unless you have joint trouble

  • @scooby1961

Hi, I want to ask you this :

I'm a 20 year old male, I'm 173 cm tall, my high hasn't change from the age of 15. Is it posible for me to grow any taller ? If so, what exercises should I do, and what kind of food should I eat?

  • Yeah you should keep your ego in check, I for one never increment more than 2.5 kilos/5 lbs no matter how easy it gets. Just take it easy and rest for a while and start light when you resume training ;)

  • At 2:10, am I the only one immature enough to look at the penis he drew?

    :D

  • "Our backs are best designed to be horizontal and bent over" I'm showing that line to my girlfriend.

  • and what about horsestand?

  • Hey Scooby I did squats yesterday and gave myself a nice little hernia. FML

  • @greatdane114 You probably squatted low bar while trying to go way too low. Or did excess weight with sloppy form.

  • @Lakkhamu Hmm... Form was good but I think it was just the overall strain involved. It's been bugging me for a little while now so I should've taken it easy. Heindsight is a lovely thing eh?
