Of course the solo is done on his slide guitar which lies flat, but of course he is known as a master of percission on it. The master of space and time. I read once ; Roger Waters wrote songs that were like rockets blasting to the moon, but Gilmour was the man in the rocket.

At this, my one and only Pink Floyd concert ever, I was convinced that they had converted the Superdome into a giant inverse satellite dish, then levitated the Dome and tilted it on it's side, and began communicating with the aliens from outer space. But then again, maybe that didn't happen. But I was certainly 'moved' by this amazing concert, back in the day, if you know what I mean ;)
