Whenever I hear the Superman theme song, my body feels like it is being flooded by some sort of energy and I feel like I can do superhuman feats. Heard the song while a toddler and now a grown man, it will always symbolize Superman for me.

The next film in the Superman franchise is probably a reboot, I'm worried that they'll pull a Batman and do a different score. That score is basically the only music that comes to mind when I think of Superman, same with the Danny Elfman Score with Batman. I mean, come on. Batman Forever opened, and no Elfman. Same with Batman Begins, we were bombarded by Hans Zimmer. I like Hans Zimmer though. Just not doing Batman.

I think all 3 bring something to the role. I like Roth as Superman but didn't like the movie overall because it was a ripoff of the first. There were great visuals but too many story mistakes: the kid, Lex had the same plan (not well thought out) the kryptonite mountain! I could go on... But Roth himself was great. I love Smallville! All the characters are so well written and watching the evolution is very interesting. And of course Reeves. What can be said that hasn't already been?

Nah, Christopher Reeve was the best Superman -IMO. Not only was he powerfull in the suit, but he defined the character with his campy portrayal of Clark Kent.

I thought that Welling's Superman was a nice impression of the former, but would have liked to see him make the character a little more his own.

You mean Routh's Superman was a nice impression of the former. I didn't like the campy Clark Kent, the over the top bumbling disguise was a little too much for me. George Reeves didn't play it that way, although he didn't give us much of the square farmboy smallville side of CK either, which is why I think Dean Cain was the best Clark Kent because he captured both. I like Tom Welling, but its hard to adjust to seeing the Smallville cast at the Daily Planet. It still feels like they're young.

Christopher Reeve has been dead for years. He died of cancer which left him paralyzed from the waist down during the fourth Superman Movie. The first half of the movie was computer generated imagery of him standing because they had filmed the second half of it before he was paralyzed.
