This song is like past the stratosphere and then some just the most intense tune of all time. Reminds mine self of so much that represented the nineties, so much heart soul and real deal backbone in the music. God I miss the times. Bless all, dig brothers and sisters :)
Calling all Angels! Hi it's Angelique (from The Indians) trying to win a contest to record a new EP! Please help?? Check out this video. If you help, I'd be happy to send you some FREE MP3's THANK YOU!!!
I dont buy this at all . I have everything and every scrap of material related to THE INDIANS as far as CD's rare Japanese first pressings, Promo Posters, etc. The Indians are in my opinion, the greatest band ever, and the singer the greatest front person for a band- Period.. each song the greatest track ever. But I do not for one minute believe you are that person. good try though.
Hey Angels, this is Angelique from The Indians! I really can't thank you enough for all your comments! I haven't gone away and I still make music! I am working on a new acoustic album now and playing the Viper Room May 25th in the acoustic room. If you want to connect and hear more, please find me on Facebook. I have a music page there!!!! Love you ALL SO MUCH!!!! Angelique Bianca
More music on Itunes and Beatport under AngelFreq as well! :)
@angelfreq I never really forgot how great and beautiful this song is. Saw you and the Indians in Toledo, Oh and it was such an amazing show. I have the cassete single still w the original sleeve. Hope you are all well and good. ;) You have the voice of an angel.
PolyGram records went bankrupt and was sold to Universal Music Group, they had no interest in producing another album for the Indians, Angelique Bianca the lead singer, song writer went solo
@hobodreamer That is not true. They fired the guy who signed me and asked for me to remain on the label! I asked to get out of the deal when I saw the integrity of the album and my career compromised. Sadly I was quite young and didn't understand the politics of the music business. Big mistake on my part...but hindsight is 20/20
You must be thinking of the RED ANT record which did go bankrupt and that was just the end of the label and any chance my solo album had. Just to clarify! :)
@angelfreq This song meant a lot to me. It represents one of the best years in my life. Please tell me you haven't left music. It would be a waste of talent.
Hi Thanks for your sweet comments. Thanks EVERYONE so much! I miss being in a band and touring and wish the politics of the music business hadn't gotten in the way of a career. I "live, eat, breathe" music and I do hope one day I will get the chance to record all the songs I've written since. I've had small opportunities here and there and have some newer releases on Itunes but not the album I am waiting to make. If anyone wants to put up the money for a record, I'd make it!!!:)
I had the video tape of Kalifornia and this music video opened up the movie. It's not available on the DVD. Thank you for posting. Where did you find it?
I just watched the movie "Kalifornia" for the first time tonight (do you believe it?), and this song finishes the film off perfectly! I have to learn more about this band.
Wow, another one of those "Whatever-happened-to-them?" groups. I heard this song over at the local coffee place the other and remembered hearing it back in the early '90s. No wiki article on them and no websites mention anything. Shame, they had a great sound.
What happened to this band?? they had really good songs and cool guitar riffs, they became known in Mexico too even played there. Was there another Cd after? any info about them?
I had no idea about the movie "Kalifornia"...I remember this playing on the alt-rock radio station my senior year in high school. I haven't heard it since, but I always remembered it. This is terrific, thanks so much for posting.
If you haven't heard the album version of this song that includes the extended guitar solo, I'd advise you head to myspace/theindiansindianism and check it out. You can also listen additional Indians songs there.
In hindsight, it's fairly amazing that as a senior in high school in St. Louis, MO, I heard this song when a friend of mine played the Indianism album for me -- I had no idea this song was part of the movie Kalifornia. Can't be many others that heard it in that order, lol.
this is one of the best - and hardest to FIND!! - albums I've ever come across in my lifetime. Saw them in Cleveland in 1994, wish they'd have stuck around for a while. Amazing music... if you come across a copy of Indianism, do yourself a favor and buy it on the spot, won't be disappointed
Fantastic song that takes me back to my senior year in high school -- 94. It's a shame the incredible guitar solo and entire bridge is not in this version. It's really amazing.
It is a fantastic song and I myself love an incredible guitar solo which this song has...but I prefer this "Look Up to the Sky" without it I have to say. I first heard this song at the end of the '93 movie "Kalifornia" in which it didn't have the solo or the bridge and so that has become the definitive version of "Look Up to the Sky" to me. :)
Such a beautiful song and a great band. I'm surprised they never went further as their album Indianism was awesome and very well-produced. Check out Bed of Roses and the Key, two other great songs by them.
I used to hear this a ton on CD 101 in Columbus OH when I was a kid. I bought the CD before I saw Kalifornia. 15 years ago, crazy, I'm getting old. CD art is cool 4 fingers, two thumbs. Angelique is super hot.
Thanks so much for posting I adore this track, I too first ever heard it at the end of the film and bought the sound track just to be able to hear it over and over. I recentley found their indianism album on Amazon bought it, but my order got cancelled I was gutted , they said they shipped to the Uk , so I dont know why ??? Thanks again x
Man, she is so beautiful. I seen her do this song once in Dallas. Soembody threw a full bottle of water at her on stage. It was like it was in slow motion, but she just so gracefully moved away from it as it barely brushed her face and kept on playing. It was one of the beautiful things I'd ever seen.
I am surprised this one fell through the cracks. Love it. Like the long version better but this will do. I rarely like anything new, but I liked this one the first time I heard it.
The writer and singer is none other than Angelique Bianca. The original song lasted 7:20 minutes. Wished it would've gotten more air play. Very inspiring song with great lyrics! Rare video, again thank you for posting!
Funny how a song can catch your ear. Was watching the ending credits from the movie "Kalifornia" and had to have it. Their cd is out of print, buy found a copy on ebay. Never thought they made a video... Truly Awesome!!! Heard she is a DJ in California now. Thank you very much for posting!!! Happy Holidays!
This takes me way back... First time I ever heard this song was in the film "Kalifornia" and its stuck with me ever since. Never got to see the vid so this is really special. Ive always loved this song and its great to hear it again.

The vocalist was a DJ in the Los Angeles area and as far as I know, moved to Spain.
This is a bullshit shortened version of the track by the way that leaves the killer guitar solo out.
