  • ton koopman ftw

  • i like this music sooooooo much

    but i'm dummy

    wath is KV181?

    and

wath is Presto, andante, Allegro, etc?????

    pls somebody?

  • @webhero007

KV181 is a catalogue of ordering Mozart's pieces made by Köchel, it's why you'll see symphonies like these having numbers, prior to the catalogue, they probably didn't have any specific titile and just existed as scattered sheet music.

Presto, andante, allegro refers to the tempo of each movement; presto is fast, andante is moderate tempo, allegro is moderately quick. See wikipedia for details!

  • wtf?

  • How can I focus on the music when the conductor is giving a blow job during the whole performance?

  • @Chakiejan OMG hahahhaaahahahahahahaha

  • Euuu já toqueii aiiii!!! Lugar lindooo....

  • Delightful! Especially the 2nd movement!! Nice job!!! Wonderful voices!!!

  • delightful 1

  • I guess neither Mozart the composer of this symphony was so exaggerated as this Lord.

  • I would like to become a violinist when i grow up. Do you know how much they get paid? my parents say, thats not a job, just because i play as a hobbby. they dont pay to much attention to my on the subject.

  • @Flame0213 u need to be very good at playing to get paid ... or ul be a teacher

  • @Flame0213 It most certainly is a job - but you have to be VERY, VERY good to make good money at it.

  • there is nothing wrong with the conductor. he is just very much into the music, which is good, because you can tell that he and the players are very passionate about what they are doing. if everyone sat perfectly still and the conductor was a square, then there would be no fun or feeling in the piece. if you've ever played in or conducted a group, then you would understand. so quit commenting on the director and enjoy what they're playing for you. people are so ignorant...

  • He's drunk.

  • Can anyone just forget the fact that he is acting funny and focus on the music itself

  • Baton substituted by funny facial expressions

  • Ton we zijn trots op je, jij kent en begrijpt Mozart.

  • Danke, habe Link gesetzt

  • I think he smoked something... :)

  • Koopman uses some dynamite weed

  • hello, I'm from Mars soil so at least I thought as a lady Jumped on her house but unfortunately I had no camera to shoot it invite you to my channel Please give me a friend's feet taste like accumulates brooch 1000

  • What is the conductor's problem?

  • Does anyone know how many flies Mr koopman caught in his mouth during this performance. If it goes into double figures we can report him for animal cruelty.

  • @Thorg100: okay, thanks ;)

  • epic

  • impressive, old and stoned

  • *hrm*

    bassoon (english) = Fagott (german)

I am not a native english speaker, so do the "English" also use the word "fagott"?

  • @MrAsenox It's usually "fagotto" instead of "fagott" in English.

  • and a fagott!

  • @HARMONICO101 you forgot the bassoon... why do the people always forget the poor bassoons =(

  • My best part of this symphony is the oboe solo section. I also agree that it's a great symphony, and i can't stop listening to it. Many symphony have their turn with me, but this is major!!!!! And yes, i now see the conductor does alot of work with sweet quiet notes etc.

Even though i never played one (only violin, piano and other bits, but never oboe), I've been crazy over the oboe, ever since i was a child, and i still agree about it!

  • Thank you for this wonderful video!

  • My favourite part in this symphony is the oboe solo, starting around 6:00. The woman sitting next to her looks like she wishes to hell she was the one playing it, and i too, wish i heard her playing it.

  • @violin614 why are Oboists always divas...give some love to the fagott! :-)

  • @violin614 OMG thats the first thing that i noticed as well. all i could think was...damn she looks really really really dissapointed that its not her playing the oboe solo... like she was pissed and then sad... what a weird thing to notice..

  • @violin614 however i agree. she looked very uncomfortable. i also agree that the performance was great and that sound is the focus here, but... i noticed it too

  • The conductor looks like he is a highly pridefull person.

  • @violin614

Maybe i take that back. I shouldn't keep saying these things. The music itself is so great, and it's great to be involved in it.

Maybe it's sometimes better to listen without watching. The main thing is the sound, anyway. It's not acting. Atleast, I don't think so.

  • ENJOYABLE PERFORMACE

  • excellent piece. the conductor seems to think so too!

  • HELL YEAH THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOZART SYMPHONY, GREAT PERFORMANCE TOO

  • BRAVO

  • MORE MOZART PLEASE

  • Amei conhecer mais esta linda Sinfonia!

    Você é um amor!

  • Linda Sinfonia,e eu ainda não conhecia! Agradeço este presente!

  • This must been a major inspiration for the overture of Don Giovanni, parts of it sound just like it!

  • Proof that Sigmund Freud was on coke, lol.

  • Conductor's enthusiasm in the music impresses me to enjoy the music aswell as he does. :)

  • What some of you may not understand is that people are actually watching the first violinist for cues instead of the conductor. When sitting in an orchestra sometimes it is more of a hindrance to look at the conductor. In cases like that one would write LUFU on the top of their part meaning "look up, f--- up." Could you imagine playing correct notes after looking at this conductor's face as he conducts?

  • The conductor is fun to watch, but the first violin needs to calm down, lol! Still, very entertaining beyond the music even.

  • This is Ton Koopman very interesting conductor; try to listen to his conducting for BWV1069

  • Yea, me too, I can't help laughing either seeing all them dancing especially that guy near the conductor, his movement, his moving eyes and everytime he was "awared" for the next move... how can you stay still if the conductor conducts you "dancingly"? Lol!

But I love the concert, love them!

  • Hehe its hard to watch this without laughing, but I love that guy !

  • the conductur seems to make a lot of faces

  • I like how the guy in the front next to the conductur keeps bouncing around!!!

  • Does this conductor remind anybody of Dr. Marvin from What About Bob, or is it just me? XD

  • Santa Claus conducts Mozart Symphony No.23!!

  • Oh yes, very good thought !

    Bein pensé mon ami !

  • @chopinandliszt Mr. Bean is talking to his puppet on stage!

  • I remember when Richard Osborne opened Record Review years ago with that mesmerising oboe theme in the andantino from Ton Koopman's recording with the Amsterdam Baroque Soloists. I was hooked and because I didn't get the CD originally it too me years to find it 2nd hand. It's one my favourite recordings of early-middle Mozart symphonies. It's a real pleasure to have this performance too. Thnx for posting.

  • lance was here~+~+~*

  • koopman is on crack

  • You are right! This kind of crack is called MOZART.

  • @dt10825 LOL

  • @dt10825 Why on crack? Can't he have energy without that? Or perhaps vitamins and other nutritional supplements, or simply a healthy lifestyle?

  • @dt10825 hahahahahahahahaha ahahahah yes he is!

  • @dt10825 Koopman is on Mozart!!

  • Comment removed

  • Wonderful Ton Koopman with Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg -this is original Mozart style and sound Bravissimo! Thank You for lovely music Greetings Martin

  • O santo cielo!!! Comunque suonano bene.

  • First stand's rough motions are extremely distracting. Very nice sound though.

  • ...also blackbirds love Mozart...

they have e good and distinct taste and are always out to get some inspiration!

  • I love the conducter's passion, It's getting hard to find passion like that in most orchestras

  • the hallmark of a genius

  • Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was a great genius. He is my the most popular composer.

  • he is my favorite composer

  • I think Mozart was sixteen when he composed this. It reeks of youth and life. I am awestruck every time I hear it.

  • Sorry, you made an error in your description: the score calls for trumpets, not trombones. "Tromba", plural "trombe", is the Italian word for trumpet; "trombone" was formed from it to literally mean "large trumpet".

  • Oh right. Hence no trombones in the video. I copied the info from wikipedia. Shocking that it's wrong! ;)

  • thanks haha :D

  • any body knows a torrent to bownload full concert???

  • He's great

  • Thanks, Harmonico!!! =)

  • Many thanks, Harmonico.

  • Look at that smile. :) This guy is the best. :)

  • Excellent!!!!

The music jumps out of the computer....
