Seriously, you have got to be the most under-rated gamer on youtube. All of your videos are great people should spread the word! Keep up the good work!
I'm not sure about Hexen, but if you like Doom, you WILL like Heretic, if you give it a chance. Hunt down the shareware version (It's public domain/free/legal) and see what you think, it's awesome.
In herecy any Silent Hill game could be a good choice, but i think that Silent Hill 4 is the one that covers almost everything of that area. By the way, nice job like always dude!.
For a Heracy game, Apocalypse on the PS1 (the game by Bruce Willis) would have been an ideal choice. It' about a world ruled by religion who has eliminated everything and everyone to do with science.
This was a great video, but I think (like many others as I see) you could've come up with something better for Heresy. I think you should have gone with the first Silent Hill. The entire point of the game is to save your daughter from an evil cult. Another good one could be Devil May Cry 4, where the main character starts out in a cult that worships Dante's daddy.
You call yourself an old school gamer yet you say Hexen is crap? Woah there man. Maybe the console version is crap but not the PC version. Check my YouTube account: I have Let's Play of the entire first chapter of the game with all three classes.
Weeeeeel, Bioshock's little sister harvest/ rescue is kinda ruined by the fact that they sometimes leave adam-filled presents for you, but it's a interesting idea anyway.
I agree with Catherine to represent Lust. And, naturally, Limbo to represent Limbo XD The others are all appropriate, but those two are my favourite. Great vid :p
@marvelswe Dante's Inferno was. I didn't say so in the video because I had already mentioned the game at the beginning, but you're not the first one to say that so I should have been more clear. My bad! :)
@Doom2Guy Yeah, no kidding! I'm surprised that so many people were into that game, but then again I've only played the N64 version. I'm with you and I stand by my statement that the N64 version is not good. Have you played the PC version? Apparently, that's where it's at, but I'm not a PC gamer so I got left in the dark on that one.
@goemon047 I've only played the PC version, actually. I do find Heretic a lot more enjoyable, it's pretty much a Fantasy version of Doom, but Hexen is so slow and repetitive in comparison.
@Doom2Guy The graphics are bad, the control is sketchy, the setting is cooler than other FPS games but like them there are points where I get completely baffled at what to do next. However I'm told that the N64 version is better than the PS1 version... which doesn't seem to say much. I wish they had a Hexen/Heretic collection for a console so I could play the originals (as I'm not much of a PC player). Then again I don't really like very many FPS games to begin with so who am I to say?
@goemon047 I know Hexen was hard to play because I couldn't figure out where to go. You could at least say that it's fun when you have friends over because it has 2 players on single player besides multiplayer. And the fact that I couldn't get anywhere in the game, the clipping code was the only way to get by. Also with the many weapons code, it's still fun to at least mess around. But overall, I'll at least say that this game is too hard to figure out and it doesn't stand as a challenging game.
@goemon047 Dude the N64 version of Hexen has been praised as the BEST console port of Hexen. The PS1 version is flat out terrible, I own both so I would know. You're entitled to your own opinions much like everyone else, I liked it for the multiplayer. It isn't very straight forward, but the mindset shouldn't be that it is going to be as great as Doom going into it. Some are enjoyable more then others, ever play Powerslave? Might wanna also check out Megaman 8-bit Deathmatch :)

If you ever get the PC version of Hexen, download zDoom and play it using that. It makes it run very nicely.

Hexen?
But Hexen was amazing!
...or is your opinion herecy...
Still, you should put something from X-Com series. Like Enforcer. TPP game after series of strategy games...
Or New X-Com! ...or Syndicate.
So much heresy in games lately.

I guess Final Fantasy Legends came close to heresy since you fought the game's (Amish?...Quaker?) god at the end.

@goemon047 I have the N64 version of Hexen, and although I never beat it, I liked it a bit for one reason: Co-op.
No other game made back then had that kind of Co-op gameplay, I can think of maybe only one.
