  • Oorah Marine, I've been out 8 years and only the idiots ended up picking up NCO. These were also the guys who tried to go to the drill field and didn't make it, couldn't pass recruiting school, and wouldn't make it on the outside, that reenlist. The Marine Corps seems to want these guys in charge of the place instead of good Marines I think. I wasn't perfect, and I did my fair share of jackassary, but I was a hell of a leader and I wouldn't make it in today's Corps.

  • Let us not forget how Wookie Monsters get promoted ... Yes, we don't take you miserable cunts with daddy issues seriously.

  • Exactly why I'm a terminal lance. Thank God I'm not the only one who actually cares about this.

  • i led more as an LCpl than 90% of the Corporals I've met. saying this same stuff the entire time. Thank you.

  • A lot of good men get out. My best friend in 1983 got out,,, He would have been a Sgt Major if he stayed in. The real dumb asses who just suck up and stay out of trouble get weeded up between 8-10 years in. a few still make it to 20. I used to love getting rid of dead weight Cpls and Sgts who had 6 or more years in and thought they could slide. I'd just send them to NCO school. they'd fail and I'd process them.

  • Nik3AllSt4r No dude, I said: I was a good Marine, pay attention. And I am not complaining, I'm glad to be away from all the corruption. I just didn't like how a garbage Marine got away with something by turning in 6 stellar Marines. Please don't preach what you don't know kid, all good Marines do something they aren't supposed to be doing.

  • One of the many reasons im out now. this guy hit the nail right on the head.

  • If I could change one thing about the Marine Corps, it'd be that no Marine would ever get promoted without having done his or her MCI's. I saw that out in the fleet and some of those devil dogs had low cutting scores and lower motivation. If you're too lazy to do this one basic thing (easy, even for Marines and adds a lot of points toward your composite score), then you don't need another stripe, you need a boot!

  • 5 more months n ya boy is hanging up his cammies...july 6

  • There's also the side of locking out Reservist ranks

  • that gatorade looks so good

  • So wait, you think that the promotion system is why good Marines leave the Corps? You say a guy who knows his job is locked on, but this same guy apparently can't keep up with the shitbirds in PFT, MCIs, and Rifle Qual?? Bullshit. Being locked on is the whole picture, not just being a "good guy" and knowing your job. I served 8 years, was a Sgt for 3 of them, and never saw anyone "held back" for being smart or offering suggestions. You get held back for being a piece of shit, plain and simple.

  • I should have never joined, All I do is clean and get yelled at for no reason, I didn't join for this bullshit

  • This is right on target right here, I was (not being cocky) a "good ass" Marine according to my superiors and peers. They knew I smoked weed but didn't mind, I had people tipping me off when the next 'random' piss test was. Then some cock-sucker snitched on me and 6 others to the main dick, just to save himself for getting caught doing the same shit.

  • @klownsik i think your the marine he was saying was the idiot bad marine your complaining that you got caught doign somethign you know your werent suppose to be doing

  • @Seguris you suck at life haha

  • the army may be a LITTLE better about it but it still happens i was kicked out because i wasn't afraid to say "Hey sergeant this ain't right" or "hey u four go get this done while we do this!" they didn't like seeing a E-2 who had more common sense and now they lost one of their best CBRN specialists and this occurs so often with in the Marine Corps and the Army.

  • so i did a little research. and i came up

witha conclusion that the US military only

recruits for quantity rather than quality

  • @modofosho They recruit quantity, and turn it into quality.

  • Isn't he going to jail now just because he spoke the truth? I think this is him. Correct me if I'm wrong.

  • This makes me feel better about getting turned down by MEPS>

  • This is just right, and I used to preach it to my Marines with the same exact words. I always instilled in them the core values that became part of my life since I became a Marine on 17 Sep 99, back when the Marine Corps was still the hard corps and living by these values got anyone as far as they'd want to. I love the Marine Corps and I am damn proud of being one. I served 8 years, and hadn't it been for a back injury and what the Corps has become, I'd still be doing what I knew best... Ooorah!

  • My left ear enjoyed this video.

  • 19 people are higher up's that got butt hurt about the video.

  • makes pretty good sense

  • i got a solution ....Ron Paul! 2012 our founders started a revolution built with a constitution designed for much smaller governement and we are invading countries policing the world.. as for changing that promoting process i dk but i do know we don't have to be anywhere but in our own business...we can cut spending on food stamps but pay for war in other words fuck feeding you good here'ssome shell casings..

  • @BigRich123321 You say Ron Paul is the solution, then you say you dont know about changing the promoting process. Ronulans need to get over your obsession with that old fart 9/11 truther, quit promoting him and focus on the damn issue at hand insted of promoting him all the time.

  • @ki4bgf

If all printers were determined not to print anything till they were sure it would offend nobody, there would be very little printed.

    -Benjamin Franklin

im simply saying i dont know an EFFECTIVE way to take care of that problem although a solution would be to withdraw and that problem could be concentrated on alot easier than at the expense of the american peoples economy and lifes

  • @BigRich123321 And I can agree with that. What I was saying is simply stop inserting Ron Paul into everything! Out of at least a hundred primaries ('00 and '08) the man has won ZERO. And since you like to quote Franklin here's another one: "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results." He has not won a primary and he keeps running because he thinks he can. Therefore, according to Franklin, he's INSANE! Let the old man be.

  • I actually think this could not have been explained better!

  • of course they don't want intelligent people, they just want people who will put up and shut up and believe every word told to them

  • @caktalfraktal Yes like drones. I wonder what would happen if thousands of lance corporals just rebelled one day. I mean what are the gonna do? NJP every single s.o.b.?

  • the militery sucks period and I wish I wasent in the crappy marine corps

  • Company Dummies

  • Judging the intangibles is always the hard part. The other issue that comes up a lot, servicewide. I was really hoping that stupid shit had been cleaned up a lot more in wartime. I saw an improvement leaving the Marines and going Army for a while, then got with a shitty Army unit that was entirely on the good ol boy system. There is a point sometimes for the betterment of the service and detriment to your personal career some assholes just have to get called out back.

  • lol I thought only the Army was like that, I've seen it so many times and I only served 3 years. The only ppl I saw getting their stripes were the cock sucking "PT studs" who knew very little, cuz in the Army if your PT scores aren't high, you can forget about everything else i.e. schools, promotion boards. My last week I over heard some senior nco's say that all the best soldiers get out and the bad soldiers stay in. I guess that's why the Army is the way it is now. Things need to change.

  • The military need "DRONES" not "THINKERS"!

  • @RagingBubuli Are you fucked in the head? I sure think so. Thinkers are the reason why idiots don't get killed in battles. It's not just about strength, but about strategy and the mind.

  • @Seguris The Military promote DRONIER DRONES to lead DRONES. THINKERS got nothing to do with the military.

  • @RagingBubuli Dronier Drones are the thinkers. You can't deny that you need some god damn THINKING to lead.

  • Unfortunately this applies to more jobs than just the USMC, or military.

  • @TonyInTopeka but you can quit a civilian job with no legal repercussions

  • @MoutainMan22 Good point.

  • This young Marine is ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!

I don't know if he is still in, but once the Marine Corps sees this video, they are going to start FUCKING WITH YOU in a major way. That is, if you are still in when they find out.

  • @Rich8951 sounds hot

  • I have been saying a lot of this same stuff! The system is designed to keep the lazy, the dumb, and the Marines with larger families re-enlisting.

  • And the branch with the highest percentage of enlistees with prior service in OTHER branches? The Coast Guard. What does that tell you?

My own opinion is that many love serving their country, but want a venue that not only allows them to help others in life & death situations, but want reponsibility and respect commensurate with their maturity. In plain language: the Ooorah dogma you lap up at age 18 may no longer appeal to you when you mature a few years later.

  • The same applies for the Army.

  • that shit is important, but so is shooting a fucking gun well

  • A dumb marie is still better than a good soldier

  • dont forget to mention the dumb cutting scores BS. a good marine who knows his shit but has a high cutting score doesnt get promoted. but Lcpl dumb fuck who has a below average score picks up quick. if there is one thing ive learned by being in the corps is that it doesnt matter what MOS you have cuz you are gonna work with every one any ways. so why are the MOS's scores segregated? a good leader is a good leader. no matter what MOS. bu the corps will never recognize them....

  • damn from another marine mmmm

  • What a fucking idiot. Just because he is a shitbag. Marines need to shoot and have pt scores. The leaders have bachelors degrees retard. Dont blame the marine corps cuz u dont step up.

  • Every other job is like this? Really? Imagine a world where an account gets more money and power based on how many times he can bench press his desk and it still wouldn't be as stupid as the military. You sound almost as retarded as my first sergeant when he tried to get me to reenlist by telling me horror stories about the "real world" and how tough it is when he has been in since he was 18. Civi life is everything I thought it would be and more. DON'T REENLIST!

  • @ yourdaddy20192. As a grunt you DO NOT run for an hour a day and hike every Friday. You may (on average) did that in School of Infantry. But the Fleet? No, certainly Not. You must not have made it past the SOI or you're not even a grunt let alone a Marine.

  • @dozingjager Are you serious? we ran 5 miles everyday. We would be lucky to play gay ass football or PT on our own. Then to top off the 5 miles every other day, on friday we would hike before libo. The hikes would get longer every friday and start all at the lowest again once we finished the 22 miles hike. lmao my DD-214 says other wise. You're not insulting me by saying, "You're not even a grunt let alone a marine". I take that as a compliment.

  • @dozingjager We would be lucky if it were 5miles everyday...until hump day. It would vary 5-10 miles or death runs, ruck runs, etc. All because our plt co needed to look good. Fucking stupid.

  • The PFT & promotion systems both require endurance.

You will find that the civilian sector is the exact same and worse-- only with no professional recourse.

If you're a Warrior, that's an innate thing-- you won't be happy doing anything else.

Be who you are & embrace the Suck.

Before too long, you'll be deciding policy.

  • @999danlenson999 shut up boot, you are one of the assholes

  • lol like this doesn't happen in a regular workplace.... it's not limited to the marine corps

  • Well, he summed it up just about right.

  • This is so true, not for the Marine Corps in general. The whole military is suffering from this...

  • It was the same way 40 years ago when I was in the Navy.

  • This guy tells the truth, It's a popularity contest

  • US army overall lacks of people like him very very badly. If we had more brains than muscles in the army, we wouldn't be in fucked up situation as we are right now. Because of this, no these USELESS wars, our economy is fucked, young kids are fucked in their heads and on top of that, entire fucking world hates us and wants us dead, hmm wonder why. Why can't we just be peace full and AT LEAST stop wars till we fix our broken down to the core economy.

  • llol Jo Shmo

  • I got out of the Marine Corps because I joined the wrong field (avionics). Despite my high PFT, rifle score, Pro/Cons etc, there just wasn't room in my MOS because fat shit-bird Sgts weren't getting promoted and weren't leaving their pseudo-welfare job, so I was a Lcpl with a service stripe. That and I was still single. So I was still living in the barracks doing field day every week while that boot PFC with the fat barfly wife was living the good life in his apartment. What a waste of 5 years.

  • Finally I have found this video.

  • He's cute

  • see u dumb mother fuckers? this is why u cant always see call of duty as ur influence to joining the military. damn kids.

  • Huge misstatement: there is no correlation between running times and intelligence. It's not like your head is lighter and therefore you run faster.

  • GOOD, WE NEED ALL THE BEST BACK HOME TO TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK FROM OUR TREASONOUS GOVERNMENT!!! COME BACK AND TRAIN THE PEOPLE!!!

  • I feel ya Bro... But, its not only the Marines.. its the Army also..

  • He missed a point (former Navy assault craft here.) I didn't re-enlist for the fucking pay, nor the benefits, the shitty food, and going to every shithole in the world (Iraq, Honduras, Libya, etc.) Yeah, we deserve better, but we know we won't get it when we sign the papers because we're not there for the bennies, we're there to do a job, it's a fucking calling, not a career. My disabled ass would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

  • @hitcharide1 But "the job" was based on a mountain of BULLS**T!!! Don't get me wrong, I have a tremendous amount of respect for people who enlist to fight to protect our country but our country was NEVER in any danger from Iraq,Afganistan,Libya, etc. I'm sorry but you were used! Thank you for your service but if you can't see by now that the "terrorists" are in our government, then you need to go back and do some reading.

  • @JeffSal999 So sorry, there were WMD's and our interests were at stake, but you weren't there so you wouldn't know. Yes, I was and am used by ppl like you, which is the real downside to my serving, you have the right to complain and criticize without reason or legitimacy. You, sir, have my deepest apology for your willful misguidedness and I deeply regret you chose to respond to my comment.

  • @hitcharide1 Again, BULLS**T! Saddam was NO danger to ANYONE but George Bush because of the history! He was nothing but a pimple on the ass of the world and would NEVER be stupid enough nor was he capable to do ANYTHING to us! And YOU were NOT the only one there! There were NO WMDs! You just don't want to admit you were used by TRAITOROUS SCUM in our government! LOOK at ALL of the INNOCENT men, women, and CHILDREN who've been slaughtered for B&R,RAND,CHENEY etc.

  • @JeffSal999 Hm..sorry, I have no desire to argue with a left wing troll who has nothing but contempt for America and all it stands for. It's obvious you know little about the military let alone the world in general..you're past reason and enlightenment and as such are a complete waste of my time. I resent having fought and suffered to protect an ayers/alinsky troll like yourself, but that is the burden we bear I suppose. You're beneath contempt and have no concept of honor or respect...

  • @hitcharide1 WRONG-NOT A LEFT-WING! I LOVE my country and the SONS AND DAUGHTERS THAT WERE USED FOR OTHER PEOPLE'S GAIN! I can't believe you're SO blind to the lies and corruption that sent you there! There is SO MUCH FACTUAL info. that PROVES the intel showed they had NOTHING but Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld etc. kept pushing to FIND something even if they had to make it up! (which is what they did) By the way, the Clintons and Obama are CRIMINALS as well so- I believe in the CONSTITUTION !

  • @hitcharide1 Another thing, my great, great, grandfather fought in the Civil War, my father was a para-trooper in the 101st airborn during the Korean War and my brother was in the Marine Corp.in the late 70s. I go to ALL the Veterans Day ceremonies in my area EVERY year and DEEPLY RESPECT ALL-LIVING AND DEAD! And that's precisely why the blood of our sons and daughters should NEVER be shed unless ABSOLUTLY NECESSARY! Would you disarm Americans if ordered? That's all I need to know!

  • Thank you!!! thats so true, if you dont aggree you are one of those "idiots"

  • Let's not mention how you're constantly watched like a damn kid. And Marine corp workouts actually hurts marines. The PFT needs to get thrown out. I never ran 3 miles in combat, pull ups don't help me for shit, and the way we do situps actually damages our back. The CFT is almost perfect they can tweak it a bit more. More gym time and less running. Running is a defense mechanism not something we're suppose to do every day. Running actually makes you lose muscle. I can understand humping.

  • @yourdaddy20192 long endurance makes you lose muscle, well actually it promotes slow-twitch muscle fibers (used for distance/endurance), but you shouldn't lose muscle if you're eating enough protein.

so compare a marathon runner to a sprinters physique, marine guys should be doing interval training not this long endurance shit

  • @hunkyjelly I agree, but being a grunt you constantly run every day for an hour or more every morning, shit sometimes twice a day. Then every friday you hike. I was 100 pounds of muscle when I got in. I wasn't huge, but I was kinda stocky for my height, 2 years in and I was a puny 72 pounds of muscle and my old bench was 350 down to barely pushing a 150 max. The pft wasn't a problem ever for me. Running was a breeze. I get it and I start developing muscle imbalances.

  • @hunkyjelly YES, Interval training is where it's at. Good luck recommending that though, I tried and was told to shut the fuck up. Only to find out our "great" leaders were doing that themselves, when we were out running 10 miles everyday..

  • @yourdaddy20192 You're no Marine.

  • @SilvernightStudios my DD-214 says otherwise.

  • @yourdaddy20192 My Spidey Sense are tingling.

  • @SilvernightStudios that's just your vagina.

  • @yourdaddy20192 My Spidey senses are tingling.

  • If I wanted to fix my uniform for 7 hours every damn week I would've been Admin. This went on for 5 months every damn week on Friday. It's a game of favoritism. It's been like that in every grunt unit I've ever been in. And there's always something wrong with you when you can't pick up. What a damn joke. And field day is fucking stupid. If looks clean, smells clean, it is clean PERIOD. This "attention to detail" excuse if fucking retarded.

  • Most marines get out feeling they should have joined another branch. I did that's for sure. As for the "score" system that shit is broken beyond belief. And the only Marines that pick up "Meritoriously" are the brown nosing cock suckers that can't land Nav, fire a rifle, or do a damn thing related to their jobs, expect be a Pre Madonna in uniform. I spent more time fixing my blues, charlies and alphas than I did time in the field because it was more "important" than afghanistan and I'm a grunt

  • I'm pretty sure these issues are military wide.

  • agreed

  • so it's who you know, not what you know. it's the same out the military too. DUH

  • you should send this video to the CMC

  • Being a marine is a full package. You have to be physically fit, shoot good and be good at your job,and have a good conduct. Just because your smarter then your nco's doesn't make you better then them. The nco's either got promoted really quick because they can shoot, run, and do there job proficiently or they took the full eight years to become a sergeant. Either way it doesn't make you better. Respect the rank not the person. If your not being promoted somethings wrong with you.

  • @yz250reed While I would agree with you for the most part, there are some exceptions. I am not saying I wasn't lacking but anyone in my place would have been stuck as well. My MOS (6074) had 156 people from Private through Gunny in the whole corps. My MOS was closed for promotions for 2yrs; when it opened I made Cpl with a cutting score of a little over 1700. Cpl for supply was 1280 The promotions by job field can move some unsat Marines above you in rank out in the general fleet.

  • @mumbles005 That sucks and i know what you mean. I was 6323 and our mos was also closed for a while and i would see higher ranking peolpe from other mos's that were in less time then me but that doesn't make the system flawed , that is just part of the game. If an mos only has 50 personal through the entire marine corps, not everyone can be gunny's. But to say a peice of shit marine, in the same mos, gets promoted over you is bullshit. I hate this low character typing you tube shit.

  • @yz250reed The Navy had a good idea that may not have been implemented very well; job field knowledge tests by rank. For technical or hazardous jobs the marine should know the appropriate information for their rank/billet. A notable number of people reenlist into a different MOS. Low skill fast moving MOSs should be restricted from moving into slow high skill MOSs. The most extreme case: I met a supply marine who made Ssgt in 5yrs. That could mess up the system if he moved into my MOS

  • @yz250reed For your MOS a mistake you make could get a pilot killed; for mine, a mistake could blow my shop up (LOX). The reenlistment quotas are by MOS and rank. They are looking for a body at a specific rank and it isn't always from the same MOS. If that Ssgt from supply moved into mine he would have side stepped an average 15yr process in 5yrs. I don't believe that taking someone from an unrelated MOS above the rank of Cpl should be allowed. It can cause an unsafe situation.

  • Damn straight!

  • Things have not changed much since WWII. these are the same gripes my dad had when he was a marine in 1944-46 - and one reason he did not re-enlist.

  • SO, WHAT HE IS SAYINS THAT THE CORP IS JUST LIKE THE REAL WORLD - WELL HOT FUCKING DAMN!

  • I was in the Marines. I served 5yrs in an aviation related job field. I couldn't do more than 6 pull ups or run faster than a 23:30 3 mile. I made Cpl at the start of my 5th year. I became a CDI inspector at the end of year 2 though. I tested into mensa. I got out because, like the video said, I worked for mostly idiots. Also, I was offered a civilian job that paid 4x my income. I am now finishing my engineering degree at a well known university.

  • @mumbles005 100% right on!

  • @mumbles005 that's what the corps is made of. Fucking idiots. Good job. I wish more people were like you.

  • @mumbles005 That's great. I have four more years before I can get myself out of this mess. The thing is I'm active duty 03. Wishing what I knew now, I would have saved myself the trouble, and paid my way to college...

  • @mumbles005 no you should be a sergeant if you did 5yrs

  • @gpheonix1 I am not even sure what the "no" part of your comment is replying to. Should has nothing to do with it. The Marines promote within MOS's; if you have a small one it promotes more slowly. Please read my other posts in this comments section for a more thorough explanation.

  • @mumbles005 the no part refers to the part where you said you are a corporl at five years in

corporal is 4th rank you get ranked up every year if you dont do anything

i think there is a problem that promotional idea anyways

  • @gpheonix1 you don't get "ranked" up every year. If you don't want to spend the time looking at my comments that explain the whole process or otherwise search for the correct information; I'm not going to waste my time explaining it to you.

  • @mumbles005 look dont get some image in your mind that im getting pissy with because im not talking normal to you

also im not saying bs its just my first sergeant told me this

that is all i just wanted to say dont get pissed off because i dont want to spend time looking at your explanation im just telling you what my first sergeant said

  • @gpheonix1 Well I am going to assume your are in ROTC in which case, you know jack shit about the actual service. That would be saying you are a cop after watching a few episodes of COPS; the two don't even compare. Some life advise for you, if someone says something to you and then you find reason to doubt the accuracy of the information, find the correct information before you open your mouth again.

  • @gpheonix1 In the future, press the all comments link next to the comments on the video. Once there hold control key and press f key to open a search box; type in the name or first few letters of what you are looking for. You can also hit the little next key to find the next entry that fits. That will dramatically speed up the process of reading my other posts; faster than me typing out the explanation AGAIN.

  • the military enlistment whole system is fucked bunch of idiots in charge

  • the cutting score system is a bitch, right?

  • so did this guy stay?

  • Failure in leadership. Too much B/S like skipping chow to stay later because the leaders say you'll get off earlier but you dont, hypocrisy, 432 formations a day for no reason, staying late and no one can tell you why you're not off work, NCOs being treated like boots, NO recognition whatsoever for your accomplishments, "Marine Corps over Family" because married Marines conduct field day inspections at the Barracks.

  • Its not about he knows better than his seniors, the military works by rank. You listen to the guy with the higher rank, PERIOD. No arguements. If you dont, its your ass. If you do it and its not right, its theirs.

So just do what thry tell you and keep your mouth shut. The ranking systems there for a reason.

  • @p12211 hahahaha you are the idiot he's talking about....fail buddy.

  • @TheEmarbe

Im not saying its right. Im just saying thats why it happens...fail interpretation buddy.

  • @p12211 The ranking system Yes, there is a ranking system, but it doesn't always work for the best. Fresh 21 year old 2nd LT straight out of OCS outranks a MSGT, yes. But should the LT tell the MSGT to get down and push?

Some NCOs shouldn't be NCOs. There are NCOs who don't know shit and don't do shit, yet they never get NJP. They slip pass all the staff NCOs and collect that NCO pay. These Marines set bad examples.

  • I could not agree more!

  • he is telling the truth. that is the way it is in most feild not just the marine corps.

  • AMEN BROTHER

  • OOHH F$cking Rah!!!! Same Sh*T in law enforcement... Gotta outta the Corp only to find the same shit happens in this job... Must be the nature of the beast.

  • @Lanscop08 Hey i echo the same way, i have a four year degree as well as doing time in the Corps and spent seven years as a cop. i feel that the people they promote in law enforcement are absolute fucking idiots! they violate labor laws, etc. and they(TOP COP) brass. being educated in L/E you are a threat to them because most of the brass do not have college degrees. it is about who you know and who you blow rather than what you know!

  • P,S. Mass punishemt was aonther factor for my departure.

  • Brother, I made Sergeant in three years and six months, I completed all my MCIs, made meritourious promotions twice, and earned twenty four college credits in four years with an arduous deplyment scheduleI. My pros and cons as a troop were 4.6/4.6. I attended divison matches and had a first class PFT rating for the duration of my time in the fleet. Despite all this, I came to realize that unless you are willing to acquiese to more stupid people, you will never be happy. Get out while you can.

  • The motto of the ''Real'' Marine Corps should be ''Fuck Up ?...Move Up''

  • I agree with this guy. I think a lot of good people don't re-enlist because they can't deal with the hypocrisy and the hopelessness of this organization. Being a junior marine, I'd like to see this change when I become a leader; however, I think that is out of the question.

  • @AugerDP I knew some solid gold people who looked out for their people and did what they were supposed to. But there were also a lot of, as you well know, people who once they picked up a little rank, turned into instant assholes who had a hitler complex and fucked with the troops for shits and giggles. It got too much for me,I hated the Corps my last year or so, couldn't wait to tap my boots together three times and say ''Ther's No place like home of record''...Thanks for your service

  • @AugerDP I didn't really hate ''The Corps''...I couldn't stand ignorant incompetent jerks who couldn't find their asses if they used both hands. I think the ''corporate culture'' of the Corps is too entrenched to change..They chew you up and spit you out..If you are lucky enough to retire after 20 years, you are such a walking burnout that it takes a long time to get your shit in one bag again....

  • For what it's worth, it's just as bad in the Army. Personal experience.

  • I was a former marine 0311. Get this. I was a Lcpl. Squad leader in Afghanistan. Whilst there were other NCOs in different squads and one in my own. I was more proficient and my leaders realized this. So anyway there is a meritorious cpl up for grabs and

Guess who they give it to? A lcpl 0311. Who is in a "police seargent" billet (gunnys bitch) and never leaves the fob. A complete fobbit who was buddy buddy with the higher-ups. and used the "good ol boy system"

And I have said the same messa

  • The idiots whom come into the military all jacked up then show a single iota of improvement get noticed, but troops that have been doing the right thing all along get overlooked. Now all the sudden the idiots are in charge. when ppl ask me why i got out i thought for a long time then came up with this. "there are two types of ppl in the military, the guy that sees the retard in charge and says o i can do that, and the guy that sees the retard in charge and says fuck this." i was the latter.

  • @TheHatesutube I was on active duty in the Corps from June '75 thru June '79. I cannot agree with you more. I was a 5811 [ Military Police ]...I saw SO much hypocrisy and politics it turned me off completely about staying in. If the cheesedicks who ran the Corps copuld get it through their thick heads that after you are in for a while and get your blood stripe....STOP TREATING THEM LIKE A WET BEHIND THE EARS 19 YEAR OLD STANDING ON THE FOOTPRINTS AT MCRD !!!! That F&&^()) simple !!!!!!

  • @TheHatesutube I saw some poor Pfc or LCpl who poured too much beer down his neck stopped and fucked with and arrested for DUI...lost money and stripes...While some turd SSgt and up, ANY warrant officer or ANY commissioned officer who was a DUI got to skate and got his ass chewed by the Base XO or base SgtMajor and then swept under the rug...I was proud to have served but lost any ''heart'' to stay in... semper fi

  • I was in the Corps and you know what, its even worse in the civilian world, its no what you know its who you know.

  • whos the jackass with the laser pointer ?

  • Some Marines reenlist as Navy corpsman because they care. I could care less for short timers who hate the suck. Complaints about the service is nothing news. Good luck on reinventing the wheel. LOL
