  • no grinding?

  • It's been several years since I've seen this video and this music ROCKS! It's so catchy and awesome. Please, never take it off! I never get tired of listening to this song. I wonder what it's called.

  • @Chichiri520

The song's title is "Let's support the mother-party by our allegiance".

  • Oh, I liked it so much! Thank you!

  • I think the goal in North Korean dancing is to stand out as least as possible, display as little individuality as possible and be completely bland... kind of like line dancing in the States :)

  • Это не те ли самые танцы на Площади им. Ким Ир Сена о которых писал и А.Л.?

  • Не знаю, о чем речь, но это - типичные массовые танцы по случаю почти каждого праздника в Северной Корее.

  • Wow, they looked stressed out and stiff. There's one or two dudes who look like spies. Informants who just happen to be standing in one place the whole time and making sure everybody is dancing for the camera!

  • dude you are so right, not only that but the spies and soldiers dont even know that they too are in fact slaves, but more privaledged slaves.

  • spies & soldiers? Sounds like a USA airport on 'terrorist' look out day.

  • @yorubablk3, that is the dumbest thing i have ever heard,wow.....

  • Well living in the USA were people don't think their shit smells,so they

  • always like to point out others short comings,i'm sure you like i have heard plenty of 'dumb' things..

  • ..after all,we just went through 8 years of baby Bush for God's sake!

  • im pretty sure youtube lets you consolidate 3 different sentences into 1 paragraph instead of making 3 different posts for 3 sentences.

  • Cute

  • ..ok..hardy har har!!...lol

  • i do feel very bad for these people though, i need more NK vids, i have seen every single doc on youtube and google video,i need more!! anyone ever see the doc "kimjongilia" i need to see this one.

  • "kimjongilia" is an anti DPRK hit piece.

  • People seem to be very happy in their walks of life.

  • North Korean parties are very tedious.

I think things will be more exciting when the american bombs began to fall.

  • Song introduction: We celebrate the joys brought forth by our dear leader Kim Yong-ill, When he was born in the sacred mountain in the dead of Winter - flowers sprang up over our mother land to welcome our beloved dear leader, who gives us favor to enjoy the fruits of his paradise - glory to Kim Yong -ill our beloved dear leader, who saves us from imperialist invaders.

  • Are you serious? That is the real translation? Wow! Thanks

  • jus kidding, jus made it up, would'nt be surprise if indeed this is what the song is about.

  • Tektonik !

  • Kind of reminds me of that Obama song and those kids praising obama.

  • I think this is North Korean Bandstand. Where is Kim Dick ILL Jong-Clark?

  • kill me now

  • is this student's grade 1 party?

  • This song sounds so catchy!!

  • i know...sounds like good times! woo!

  • hahahaahha

  • rebel youth

  • Were you working for ITAR-TASS?

  • That's right.

  • interesting footage! Where did you get this and what is the story behind this event? It's the most "free-form" type of dancing I've ever seen in a video of DPRK.

  • I just took the video camera, got to Kim Il Sung square and shot this dancing party. It was in 1996, when I had been staying in Pyongyang for 5 years in total as a foreign correspondent. As for the footage, now I don't remember what was the ocasion. There were many parties like that on different kinds of celebrations. Thanks for your comment! And I'll put more videos here soon.

  • very cool, thanks for responding. I look forward to seeing more videos. I'm very fascinated by North Korea and I'm interested in learning more about the human experience there. I can't believe that you spent 5 whole years there. I'd love ot hear about it sometime. Feel free to send me a email via YouTube.

  • that's not a dance party. that's training. it's required.

  • No, mate! That's the fair dancing party - I was invited.
