Not to take away from this very fine model, in the late eighties, Byron Gorbison (of Byron Models) built one with a 28' 9" span. Powered by either 100 or 125cc motorcycle engines (with electric start), turning 34" 4 blade props. It was the largest R/C model in the world at the time. If you can find the video "Striking Back" it's included in the video.

Of course that theory is true, because a bigger plane has more mass to keep it going in a constant direction. And a bigger plane usually has a larger surface area to be held up by wind resistance And this, this is practically a UAV. It's amazing!

My niece flies a C-17, which she says, "handles like a dream". This B-29 Model is AMAZING!! Someone, or one's, are VERY dedicated, and skilled! The biggest thing I've ever flown is my 1958 Beech-18-S, E Model. T/O's & Landings require ATTENTION, but- she flies herself!

Nice plane. It looks to me as though you aren't using enough rudder in the turns.

Also, I wouldn't be walking in front of those props to measure rpm's, kind of dangerous. You can get the same reading from behind the props.
