i remember as a kid naming all of the characters after pokemon, actually my sisters said that i did it. i was like 7 how could i spell pikachu or charizard at that age!

@murfrad when i got the game, my dad renamed all the characters. one after him, one after my mom, one after my sister, and one after myself.

whenever my friends came over, sometimes we would rename them funny things like killer, or fatso or fatty!

I remember it being available to rent at the local grocery store. Every time you rented it the names were changed. You would always have bragging rights if you rented a game later and something of yours was still there. A high score, a file still there to play, and so on. They were also known for having a copy of Super Mario RPG that had a defective battery out of the box and they never bothered to fix it or get a new copy, so nobody rented it.
