THANKS for sharing this! I'm currently reading a biograhy of the movie's director (Jacqus Tourneur) & it sounds like a truly CLASSIC Western! And what gorgeous Technicolor photography! And I've always loved that Hoagy Carmichael song...which I think was a hit record in the late 40's for band singer Mike Douglas (later of TV talk show fame).

terrific , great ,legendary, great movie one of the best now finaly on DVD funily the DVD cover says black and white film ! but it is realy stunning vivid bright colour , this film is so beautifuly shot , i've just projected it up on to a giant screen to watch it and it was mesmerising . this classic has not dated one iota still now and forevermore one of holywoods great little undiscovered gems that everyone should see once in thier lives.

One of the finest and most underrated Westerns ever. Possibly the best John Ford Western not made by John Ford.
