That battle will forever rage on. I'm more of a domestic fan, but I can tell you, a majority of the reason why the imports have gotten such bad flak has been owners who put unnecessary and stupid shit on their cars. ex: putting on a big spoiler wing on a front wheel drive honda.

In the end its not about country of origin its about personal preference. I love Honda cars and have about 11 so far since I was 16. I'm currently 32. However, I appreciate any car that well made and well executed. Honda and GM both make good cars.

My boys have hondas I have a foxbody with 415hp all motor I don't rag on them for driving import to each his own and chill out u can make any car fast lol. MADD props to the hatch for breaking 9's that shit is crazy. Everyone has a preference lol so chill

I have a 92 foxbody mustang and I give all my boys with imports props. U can make any car fast as hell it's just about how far u want to go with it. well i'm an import guy even though i don't like civics i must say this is impresive, i currently run a rb26 96'240sx not finished yet buts its ok for the time being (low 11's) and a audi a3 its fun beatig up on mustangs but its also fun beatin up on civics so i'm in the middle

speaking personally, i dont like big, heavy american cars. i like my little honda. i also like the fact that with a single motor swap, i can beat mustangs and some corvettes in races. plus hondas are VERY reliable and VERY satisfying to drive. they handle great as well, unlike american muscle cars.

oh yea, Hondas still get good gas mileage compared to an american muscle car of equal quickness. to put it simply, Honda makes a much better product then ANY american car manufacturer.

listen, ANY car manufacturer can make a big displacement motor and have it make power.

HOWEVER, to take a small motor, have it be normally asperated, and have it make over 120hp/liter, takes skill and technology.

By the way im american as they come, and have driven (not owned) but driven various american muscle cars in the past. They handle like shit, are heavy as get out, make alot of torque (notice i didnt say horespower), and are generally unimpressive.

recently i took a ride in my buddys new C6 corvette. i admit i was excited as i had high expectations for this latest model vette what with all ive read about it.

when i got out of the car, i felt the same way about EVERY other american muscle car ive driven/rode in....sorely dissapointed. the car didnt even make much power, and the torque definitely wasnt what i thought it shoudl be (mind you my civic as a 1.8 liter in it!)

american cars are crap. if you want a good car, go Japanese.

after everything is taken into consideration, a logical person would ONLY come to one conclusion....get the HONDA!

the only reason to get the american muscle car over a honda, is because they like the way the V8 sounds, and the fact that it is rear wheel drive, unlike the civic (which is what im talking about)
