  • This is all really interesting, I have seen this look for a while now and have been intrigued by it. One suggestion I would make for your website FAQ... If you get resin on your hands you should definitely ***NOT*** clean your hands with acetone as it is very TOXIC and goes straight to your blood stream.

  • @marchelovera EXCELLENT point - the best way (but not the most effective) is with soap and water! any solvent will break down the epoxy resin and make it absorb-able by the skin. Thanks for the note. very important.

  • You are beautiful...good job

  • @cw8307 YOU are beautiful

  • @davezak No you are

  • Hi, I am wondering if there is a way to thin out the art resin enough to coat small, 3-dimensional pieces of paper sculpture by dipping the piece into the resin. Can you just use water to thin it, or do you use a larger proportion of one of the two materials you mixed? Do you think this dipping technique would work? Thanks!

  • @faerychild714 I would suggest doing many thin coats brushed on to avoid drips. you can try your dunking idea, but this process may be a waste of artresin, having too mix a pot of it to dip in, and if it is too thick, again, you will have run lines and drips.

2-3 thinner coats will give you the results you want without run lines and drips!

  • where can i buy ur stuff in bangalore , India or can you suggest alternate names which I can use in bangalore and ar eeasily available.

  • @darshanasardamoola I would suggest a few things. 1) google eti-usa and find their website - they have a page showing international distributors. 2) boat hobby stores (used to coat outside of boats) 3) furniture finishing supply (used to finish table tops) - I hope this can help you find it!

  • Does the resin add alot of weight to the peice?

  • @ambientgreg yes it is heavy! Depends how thick you apply it.

  • Love it! Thanks for sharing. I been thinking about using this technique. I currently use acrylic gloss on my paintings. It is not that bad but I been having so much trouble with bubbles though. Thanks!

  • hi, this looks really great, i've been looking for a technique to finish off my paintings super glossy. do you ever have problems with air bubbles / clumps / marks in the resin? is it something that dries level and even? thanks in advance!

  • @victoriawoon it is great :) - yes some problems with bubble - but you learn as you go. a blow torch over the surface removes them all while still wet. amazing trick. it is 'self leveling' - like if you let honey sit somewhere, it will flatten out over time. as long as you dont touch the resin after about 20 minutes, you will have a level surface. great stuff.

  • Cute ! Watched it 3 x

  • @TiranosaurusRex2010 because of the cats? :P

  • @davezak : what cats ?

  • nice art....im kindof an artist myself you could say...i cant paint lol but i make video game replicas so i guess im kindof an artist

  • @masterhalo85 you are an artist. pure artist. keep making stuff and do not question why or care about how good it looks or what others think.. you do it because it is something you want to.

  • Nice work. I was thinking about trying this product out. How do you clean your measuring cups, looks like you have to throw them away after or can you wash them?

  • @dbaseful I waste lots of paper towel when i resin...

i rub them out with paper towel after pouring.. and than reuse them. this saves on having to buy measuring cups from the dollar store... and works great. washing them is too much work.. resin does NOT like to be washed off of things.
