  • @mituro36 its hard to find but in the videos its like you do with that beehive you take half of the beehive for the bees dont die. i will try to find more info in english ok?

  • Very nice hives and technique! We users of Warré hives employ similar methods. I note that no attempt to enforce straight comb is made--100% natural comb spacing = happy bees and more honey. Are you chewing an herb like peppermint or spearmint to pacify the bees as you blow on them? I quite like your use of an electric blower rather than the smoker so common in the West.

    Thank you for your comment! I chew mint gum to pacify bees.

    Smoke is not necessary because Japanese honeybees are non-offensive.

  • @MegaJimbo65 Hello! It takes about 120 minutes from Osaka station to Ayabe station. My father keep Japanese honeybees for a hobby, and I record his works. He use movable frame to move natural hive in house or grave to hive box. please watch following movie.

  • @MegaJimbo65 Thank you for your comment! There is not problem with varroa on Japanese honeybees. This movie was recorded in Ayabe city, near Maizuru city, northern part of Kyoto prefecture.
