im learning japanese from music too! and from subbed anime the key is immersing yourself with japanese stuff :D. i've been learning since like 5th grade but i haven't started actually teaching myself until a few months ago, but i already know a whole lot of simple japanese :) i use flashcards, i think thats what i find easiest, that and lists and i also translate japanese songs... i encourage everyone it will help a whole lot if you watch japanese anime or something and see ppl speak it
