So.. I'm stuck here, and I tried this. Only problem is that I can't do the double jump like he can. How is he able to double jump after doing the knock up attack? And aswell with after he does Posiden's rage? I'm not able to do these. Any help?

@Saimeren you don't need to do it like this if you're not doing a speedrun or anything... stack the pillars and move it to the side of the platform then jump on it and jump up on the wall... that's where you want to go to do it the normal way.

@kevbew63 Hey, I figured this out. I got passed this part, but my problem is that I can't jump 40 feet into the air like he can. That's what I'm wondering. I know you hold L1, and hit X to jump your ass up there, but how does he do the double jump after that? I can't do that.

@Saimeren The timing is a bit tricky but the button sequence is

L1+X, L2, square, X, L1+X

(nicknamed apollo's high jump because you do an apollo's offensive at the end of a high jump)

There is no video editing or tricks here. If you get close enough to the Oracle, it will trigger the cutscene.

yeah good... but I do this quite faster(45 seconds)

I just immediately jump on the high platform(which is looking at 0:51) and I do to same combo with L1 + triangle & Poseidon rage.

Maybe you dont belive, I am going to uploading this way soon, but now my video camera is in repair...

I do this in "cow apparel" and I use 9-10 Poseidon rege(in air) so I don't know is it possible on "normal kratos". If you want to see my video with this, you must be patient

While I wouldn't mind seeing your video, the whole point of this method is that it can be done under "speedrun conditions" and without a costume. The method you describe would certainly not be possible without Dairy Bastard.

Also, the Rising Helios jump requires level 4 BoC. This would certainly not be possible under true speedrun conditions as only one upgrade of either BoC or PR is available at this point in the game.

Satvara (who did the 01:21:-- Hero speedrun) is considering it.  I hope he does it on God just for the sake of it being inevitably compared to the nearly perfect fair play run of God by ballofsnow *even for a run without skips or regenerating magic..there is room to improve to be certain*

~I also hope he sets it up for SDA this time so it doesn't get lost like the first one was

We could just refer them to a few of the youtube vids as examples. They could then decide if a certain type of skip is not allowed... if they don't want certain skips I would rather the run wasn't on SDA so it could have every possible skip.

I would like to see a new run on any difficulty (normal or above) but would prefer God just to remove all discussion on the topic. The difference is small, especially after Medusa until Ares final stage.

I know for sure that the regen magic exploit is in bounds at SDA. I specifically asked mikwuyma about it when I made the video. I got the impression only things like the swimming glitch would get a run disqualified. That might not be accurate.

They accepted shenminiu's GoWII run that was full of skips, including going through ceilings, walls etc. Even if they didn't accept it, I wouldn't let it stop me from doing a run. It would be their loss.

I've watched it to its entirety a few times but don't recall any High/Long Jumps *or any variation*, Artemis Lifts, etc. used for "unnatural skips".

What I do recall is the guy going over the sacrifce door with Apollo's Ascension.

Besides combat exploits like the Double Lever Pull..I don't readily recall any other such skip(s) as I haven't watched in a long time.

I just bet he would use it all IF he knew any of it..but he'll always hold it over the head of other runners if a run is not on God *despite the difference being small*

I haven't forgotten the obvious reasoning for behind not bothering with God difficulty..I still feel it undermines the efforts put into the run as you've already said...it's not a big leap and highest difficulty speedruns are loved by all.
