Do you still use the teasel tincture after you cured? Does it help prevent a new infection, or do you still have to prevent the buggers from biting you; checking thoroughly after you've been out in the garden?
What else would you use to prevent getting Lyme again?
@hvanoorschot No, I don't still use Teasel, and I don't see where it would prevent a new infection, although Matthew Wood did take it the moment he was aware of being bitten by a tick and last I heard, did NOT develop Lyme. I don't know if he took anything else. I did come up with a Rose Geranium tick repellent spray which on the prevention page of my website, ladybarbara dot net
Is that multiple co-infections of Lyme disease? I hear alot of people call it "Lymes" disease and wondered what it meant because it denotes a value as having "more-than-one," in a plural sense.
Anyway, I saw your post and thought I'd ask since you used the phrase "lymes disease" in describing your ailment.
By the way, I found out I have Lyme disease too, thankfully I had a Lyme literate doctor suggest I get tested, it came back positive, who knew?!!
@runninghoove I never certainly WRITE Lymes or Lyme's and certainly had no intention of SAYING such. It's merely named for Lyme, CT where it was 'first' identified. Lots of folks now are referring to Lyme & Co to include all the co-infections.
I started to cry at 4:24the dropping, the not knowing where you are or how you got there... You are right, the pain was NOTHING compared to. After 2 years on heavy antibiotics, I- as an artist- still had too much pain to hold a paintbrush. My MED DR recommended Teasel. It was truly amazing- within about 1 week, my pain had subsided almost totally. On youtube now looking up other "cures" for the brain function part (thinking teasel was only for joints I stopped it mos ago) Going back on NOW!
Female, 40. I started small- 1-2 drops / 2x/ day... do you know about "Herxing"-? Look it up if not. If you take too much w/ active infection, you will herx. That when the Teasel (or antibiotic, etc) starts killing off the Lyme- they "pop" and release gas-- the effect to you is "herx"- a horridGAS- really bad for a day or 2- can be painful- so you want to start the "kill" slowly- if you start to herx too much, just draw back on dosage. After, my Dr recommended 5 drops, 2x per day.
@dcsagec1 Yes i used to take purchased teasel did not work significantly for me. Now i take teaspoon of home grown teasel tincture, which seems to make me sicker , herxing perhaps .
@maciejwrotek - It didnt "look" like anything really- FELT like HORRID gas- Really really bad gas cramps feeling- pain all thru abdomen, back, kidneys area- like if youve ever had serious gas-- but it lasted a day or 2! I suppose others have different reactions, but my Drs told me it would feel like bad gas, and they were right! I just googled "herxing symptoms" and a bunch of pages came up.. I just went out and pulled out a BUNCH of Teasel. Now I just need to figure out what to do with it!

@maciejwrotek Hi again... I bought it. At the recommendation of my Dr, I got mine on Ebay from Philip Fritchie... I think his ebay name is HerbDoc. I have never grown my own, but since reading all these posts and watching and reading Lady B's blog, I realize it is growing all around where I live! I pulled up a bunch of roots this weekend and hope to try to prepare some of my own. Suggestions?
@dcsagec1 Well, u may want to type books google com and then type "The book of herbal wisdom: using plants as medicine Matthew Wood" and read chapter about teasel and lyme. Perhaps it will intrest you that teasel is carnivorous plant, i have this learned recently - it has pockets of water between leaves where it catches and drowns insects and then absorbs their organic matter. LoL
Now you have got better on teasel, can you eat carbohydrates, like potato and lots of vegetables like carrots with no lymes symptoms? Are you still on medicines to keep symptoms at bay or are you completely cured via teasel (+ grapefruit seed)?
I watched the video you mentioned on your website and I am really impressed big time, it was fabulous, just what I wanted. It even asked my question about how long to cook the roots of the teasel. I tried the self testing too... takes a bit of getting use too. If I was more relaxed I think I would have no problems. I tested a tincture and I fell forward, tested it again and I did not, it was lie my body tells me once, is this right?
I am getting a burning spine, stiff neck with the lymes. Doctor says I am negative, but I am not an idiot. I was bit so many times and did not think their was any harm in it... that was 14 months ago. My numbness has decreased since I started on herbs, but if I go on teasel, will the tea alone do, or does it have to be in all that alcohol? (tincture?)
@Catherine8raw Wolf Storl mentions using the tea in his new book "Healing Lyme Naturally", but I've not seen it offered much of anywhere. The dosage is no more than 3 drops at a time, so it's hardly 'all that alcohol'.
I am sensitive to alcohol, they put 37% or 80% volume alcohol in the tincture. I am wondering if it is the die off, I am suffering from . I tried a day with 20 drops, next day 45 drops and then 75 drops. I got burning brain and feeling dizy, chronic fatigue, memory loss, craving fat like sesame seed paste, coconut, cream anything fatty. I had to stop it I felt so bad. I feel better when I eat lard, and have barberry herbs, and B5 for my burning brain, probably acetylaldehyde.
@Catherine8raw Catherine, your dosage was WAY too huge!! No wonder you felt horrible. I'm not sure who 'they' is, but it certainly wasn't my tincture. I do fresh root in 50% (100proof) alcohol and the first dose is ONE DROP. Next day ONE DROP twice, not needing to exceed 3 drops 3x a day.
But I find it hard to believe this amount works. How much active ingrediant or herb is in 1-2 drops? More interestingly, I heard ti does not kill the spirochete but changes the atmosphere. I am wondering if it kills Candida albicans/ or other fungi which is the atmosphere it lives in? I know it says in one book that lymes occurs in domestic animals and humans.... obviously our internal environments are right (vaccines/antibiotics/cooked starch/other drugs? Anything else I missed? ) .
@Catherine8raw Allying with healing plants is not about 'active ingredient' at all. That's a very scientific/drug-oriented mindset. So you're asking the wrong person for those responses. You really should go to my web site and watch my free intro online class to see where I'm coming from. I recited it twice in the video, YouTube won't allow me to type any version of it in a reply.
@DancingWeeds I have had lymes for 14 months, so I am chronic lymes... can you tell me, if teasel root worked for your chronic lymes? Or did you treate it will teasel as soon as you got it?
@DancingWeeds - Can I chew the root of teasel (yes, young plant, young plant), will this work?
How much teasel tincture will I need after I have had the 1 drop every day for a week? Just how high does it go? Obviously each tincture is different strengths. How about the babesia?
I was wondering if I use the tea, will I have to cook the herb for 30mins or alot more to get the extract out? I was told it was not a normal herb you could brew up in a few minutes but quite a tough thing? Any recomendations?
Did you go on a special diet? Did you do anything else but teasel root? You have done well. I read that garlic and fish oil keep the ticks from biting you, but them again no one would come near you, LOL! I am glad you got better, are you completely better or are you stil on teasel root?
@Catherine8raw I will totally state that I am WELL. No, I don't take Teasel anymore, although I did self-test with it many times over the past nine years. On the rare occasion that I did get a yes (Self-testing is on my website) I took a few drops and it did seem to resolve a lingering pain in my knee I used Geranium tick repellent to keep ticks away for the a last year that I was gardening professionally in NYState. Oh my gosh! You just made me cry. I can relate to so many things you said. I, too, became unable to work--lost my job, my insurance, my home, my vehicles...everything. My Lyme testing was very similar to yours. I have actually been driving twice now and got lost in an area I always drove in...couldn't recognize the area. I get eye and finger twitches I have never had before. I can't remember much any more...it's sort of an inside joke with my girls and me--but it does scare me.

u say u have cured it 8 times ? or just once. maybe lyme is just in remission, maybe drug works as anti inflammatory and infection is still present ? could it be ?
@maciejwrotek I had 7 different tests over the 15 years that came back with "indicative of a new infection within the past six weeks" Only one test came back negative and that was the second one where they tested me for everything ELSE under the sun and lost me a LOT of ground. If it's in remission, it's been over eight years. I haven't been taking Teasel all that time, so no, I don't consider the herbs being merely an anti-inflammatory with the infection still present.
@DancingWeeds very interesting, did u know any other ppl who cured their lyme with it ? i wonder what active chemicals this plant has. What symptoms did u have and for how long ?
@maciejwrotek There are certainly some here in the comments section, MY entire tale is up on my web site, but every time I try to include any version of the actual web site url, the comment 'errors'. And there are lots of Teasel discussions on the new forum WinTheLymeWar. Can't put the dotcom at the end of that.
@DancingWeeds Well, a few are here in the comments section, my ENTIRE story is on my web site and there are lots of Teasel discussions going on the new forum at WinTheLymeWar
Thank you for the video!! I too have beat Lymes disease!! Teasel Root was part of my healing process! I especially want to thank you for the positive attitude. It's a definite rarity when pertaining to Lymes. Just for the record.. It can be beat and your life can be back to normal.. if not better!! I am proof!!!! Sounds like Lady B is too!
Thanks for your info--- I too am a gardener-- and I have had Lyme 8 times. Im very exhausted now, and do not garden anymore....(my veggie garden is now a total mess) and spend about 80% of the day in bed. So.. I have nothing to lose! Thanks, maybe I will summon up the courage to try one last thing before I resign myself to permanent bed. LOL.. Thanks.
Thank you for doing this video. Not sure what to add to my protocol, if anything, but I am going to look into Teasel further. It makes sense that Nature would provide an abundant and simple cure right in the spot where the ticks infect one.
Thank you very much for making this video! We certainly have a shortage of positive news out here on Youtube. I did actually see Matt Wood a few years ago before I learned I have Lyme Disease. Quite the guy! Stay well and thanks again!
hello, i am growing teasel at the moment, when i harvest what is the ratio of root to 80 proof alcohol?

Thank you very much for your video!
Where can I get teasel root? I don't see it on your website,
but maybe I missed it. And can I get it without alcohol
in the tincture or another form? I can't take alcohol.
Thank you so much for putting your story out there.
It means a lot to hear a healing story!!!!

I just started to add this to my protocol. Naturopath has me on it. Day #2. I hope it helps!
