Yessss!! I did not perform exactly this comparison test myself, but since GC-FM1 appeared I grabbed one right away, and since then am amazed with results. JVC surpassed competition not only in pixel-wise quality of the image, but especially in motion-wise quality of the movie clips. My FM-1 ended its life falling into the lake this summer so now I purchased TWO JVC PICSIO GC-WP10A (waterproof til 3m - 10ft version) with superb motion frame quality, better than any other of this class.

At first the PM5K seems better, but towards the end Picsio wins.
