For what it's worth, the show he's talking about, and the clip in the video are two different things. Gene is talking about the New Year's Eve 73 show when they opened for BOC. The video is clearly a bit later, as he's wearing the Dressed To Kill/Alive era costume.

I remember reading about this gig in Sounds music paper in early 1974 and just wishing that I could have been there. In addition to Kiss and The Harlots there was also Blue Oyster Cult and Iggy & the Stooges. What a line up!!!
