  • I forgot about this show. Shari Belafonte is so pretty. RIP Nathan Cook #TheWhiteShadow. :)

  • Some Cast My First time watching the opening lol for this show a lot of cast members lol and Guests wow than again it was classed as a soap

  • @daretosayit By the way...Martin Hewitt got his big break in the film "Endless Love" with Brooke Shields as her love interest. The movie did not do so well at the box office. But we all know Oscar winning theme song by Lionel Richie and Diana Ross.

  • I used to watch this show on ABC on Wednesday nights after Dynasty (another Spelling project). The theme was performed by Henry Mancini (Pink Panther, Peter Gunn). It was the last network venue for James Brolin before starring in Pensacola: Wings of Gold, a syndicated series.

  • Nathan Cook....R I P

  • Shea Farrell was awesome!

  • I'm really confused by the "roster" of "guest stars?" Except for Jane Wyatt, they were pretty much nobodies. And was that Tori Spelling?! LOL... Even as a kid, she had those funky eyes.

  • @ts1depot most of these people probably were on the Love Boat at one time or another!

  • @ts1depot At the time, these guest stars were quite well known - through different mediums: Karen Glassle - (TV) I mean who hasn't heard of Little House on the Prairie??? (Melissa Sue Anderson also guest starred on Hotel on another episode); Martin Hewitt (film) was relatively new to acting, but he was featured in a an early 80s movie (in 1981 I think) ; Robert Pine (TV) was from CHiPs; Iggy was primarily a stage actor, but had roles on many prominent shows. Tori was just starting out in 1981.

  • james brolin looks like christian bale. This was on right after DYNASTY on Wednesdays if i'm not mistaken.

  • @msmithstud must be american.in britain hotel was shown on thursday nights on itv, dynasty on saturday nights on bbc, then friday nights in later series

  • do you know where I can find the episodes?

  • Jesus, look at the cut of Tori Spelling...!

  • This show is a rip off of The Love Boat

  • Christian Bale changed his name from James Brolin

  • I Believe This Was A Video Clip Of "Arthur Hailey's Hotel" Video Open From December 21, 1983.

  • Johnny Depp played on that show

  • @popactor YES!!

Do you know where can I find that episode?

  • look at that smile at 0.35!!!

  • @pod7178 I know! hahaha Cocaine is a hell of a drug!

  • Great theme...and always loved the windows popping up to show the guest stars.

  • What ever happened to Shea Farrell?

  • How art imitates life, Anne Baxter replaced Bette Davis when Davis had a

stroke after filming the pilot movie in 1983. Of course you know that Bette

Davis and Anne Baxter starred together in All About Eve.

  • This is a opening clip from the German version (as the episode title is in German)... This music is unmistakably Henry Mancini... it sounds a lot like Silver Streak Music

  • My dad worked as a janitor at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco for 30 years.

  • CAN ANYONE recall the name of another tv series (comedy) where this restaurant on was top of a building with views of the city (not open air) and I recall a Grand Piano etc... sorry but I was like (6 yrs old)

  • @thebionicpig It's A Living ( was also called Making a Living for some reason)

  • @mws5657 Thank You mws5657 that really brings back warm memories of my childhood.... I wish I could look at life in such a admiring way today...

  • @thebionicpig I think it was an ABC show called "It's a Living" or "Making a Living" (the syndicated version) with Ann Jillian. It took place in the restaurant/bar on top of the Los Angeles Bonaventure hotel (I think...).

  • @dbeeman33 Thanks dbeeman33 you notice the intro theme music of the late 70's early 80's tv shows are so haunting while todays shows...well suck!

  • For many yrs I could not for the life of me recall this show as I was a kid but recall the name of the show. Duh Hotel....anywho wasn't it basically the LoveBoat on land?

  • how many people on this site have the begining to this paticular episode hotel its

    boring

  • Oh GOd!! I remember watching this show with my grandma. I loved this show. Good time and great memories.

  • this show was a ripoff of Love Boat

just look at the intro, with the circular portal

  • gee... i LOVED connie sellecca !!!!

(and OMG tori spelling ??? LOL)

  • That's her. She was only 10 years old at the time.

  • this is one of the best sounding intros of all time

  • Heidi Bohay was gorgeous. That smile of hers would melt my heart.

  • She still is. I saw an infomercial with her and her husband, Michael Spound.

  • how interesting that Anne Baxter was brought in to the show after Bette Davis' departure...memories of Eve Harrington in 'All About Eve' (1950)

    love the 'Hotel' theme song

  • I stayed at the Fairmont Hotel years ago ;)

  • Mancini should be cloned. This man has made some damn good television themes. "What's Happening?!", "Newhart," and this to name a few.
