OK, folks, I have found out something about Gary Cooper's presence in "The Eagle." He was a stunt man in the fiilm. He is one of the Cossacks riding a horse who throws his rifle in the air and falls off his horse. There is no picture of Gary from that film.

I guess the thing to do is watch the scenes where Rudy has become the Black Eagle and use the "pause" or "slow" button to see if you can catch Gary.

I just looked in dictionary, I don't understand Russian, and the translation is strange "Schöpfchen" this word is really not in use in German, it must meaning a shock of hair, but only a small shock of hair, because the German translation is the diminutive...

The only thing missing in "The Eagle" is Rudy's dancing. Remember the dinner party scene when he asked Vilma to dance? I got really excited. "Oh, boy, Rudy's going to dance!" I thought. They were just about to begin, when her father interrupted and sent Rudy to the wine cellar. It was so frustrating!

But the scenes when he is riding the horses are awesome! When he after rovery gives the girl the money, he jump on the horse - very very dashing!

I noticed that, too! He did not even use the stirrup, but he grabbed the saddle horn and swung his whole body up in the air, keeping it completely straight, and landed in the seat! What an athlete!

Do you remember the early scene where Masha and her aunt were in the stage coach and it went running wild, and Rudy rode to save them? He jumped off his horse and jumped on the stage coach horses. Was that really Rudy, or a stunt man?

I watched the video now 2x again, I didn't found a scene where the riding and throws his rifle in the air...

But I looked the scene in the stage coach with stop and play and stop and play ...It' seems Rudy because short you can see his typical ears...Did you know in scool in Italy the children gaves Rudy the nickname "bat" because he had those pointed ears? LOL

And the other problem is that Gary's name does not appear in the credits, making it harder to know which one he was. Clearly it was very early in his career and he had not gained recognition yet.

Oh, man. I can't believe Rudy did that stunt. I do admire him for it but it seems very dangerous. He could have been seriously injured. Sometimes men are so reckless!

The kids at school called him "bat" because of his ears??? God, kids can be so mean!
