  • big up u self that was cool bro

  • hey man got a real noob of a question here but it will be greatly appreciated if you could answer for me! Ive basically made a 4 bar drum sequence on my mpc and I want to add the next 4 bars, but I cant lol. Ive tried pressing next sequence and its completley confussed me. I just want to make a simple beat that changes every now and then, like every 16 bars or something. not sure how to do it. Ive copied the sequence into a new sequence but didnt work. How do you link them together? THANKS!

  • at the end it looks like some naked robot is filming you from between its legs.....whore, good vid tho

  • I wanted to buy an MPC, and this video convinced me to. At first I was a bit skeptical of it's capabilities due to all the videos on youtube about the mpcs are just a bunch of hoodlums sampling shitty vinyl and adding a kick drum to it, but now I see that this can be used as a real dynamic instrument, and not some shitty "da beatz mayka".

    Cool song too.

  • @ForestDweller80 are you serious

  • @ForestDweller80 Alright so I smiled when I read your post. I get a lot of e-mails with "da" in place of "the" and the letter Z everywhere.

  • Comment removed

  • @ForestDweller80 are you saying most of these cats are making no good music? finding samples and composing with that is an art.

  • @ForestDweller80 fuck you asswipe, the damn thing was MADE for ghetto ppl to be included in music too,so dont go there, buy a guitar you steriotipical fuck

  • @TheCharliebeats Yeah okay you hoodnigger, keep making those generic kick-snare piece of shit beats. While real music progresses and evolves, your "music" will stay the same until it fades into obscurity due to all of it sounding exactly the same. Go waste your time doing nigger shit while I put effort into making my music original and creative, not just "boom-bap-boom-bap niggerbabbling about muh dick and cursing muh momma"

  • @ForestDweller80 ok..FOREST hump!!haha . ur saying that the thing is used intelligently unless its used by "non Nigger..why don't u go see how ppl who really it was made for has used this beast for what it was made for..then upload ur shit dork and guaranteed get a laugh on..AT you..at least this guy keeps it real and is only tutoring ppl on its functions and does a damn good by the way..but u..just like every nose up cunt..wants to downsize the true use..honestly I speak FOR akai don't get IME

  • @ForestDweller80 i too was convinced that the mpc was only a toy for niggers and hoodlums who can't speak proper english, until i heard this upstanding cracker nasal voice man showing me how to make a grooveless beat by recording xylophone noises and his acoustic guitar strumming.

  • @danloughrinstuff LOL GET EM!!!! haha

  • Hey man that was really cool to watch come together good vid

  • brilliant video man, well done!

  • @ollypollypoo Thanks!

  • @onelonedork awesome!!

  • NICE_JOB!

  • I want to make music. I had no idea where to start. This video solidified it. MPC all the way. THANK YOU!

  • so it's basically one sample per pad, but that means there are no dynamics. Is there a way to have a few samples (different loudness) assigned to one pad, so when you hit harder the louder samples will play and vice-versa if you play lightly?

  • @bergweg The pads are pressure sensitive and the harder you hit them the louder or quieter a sample will play. You can assign many samples to trigger on a single pad.

  • @onelonedork Isn't it so that the MPC 1000 allows layering? Can't you record 4 iterations of a sound and assign them to different pressures, say <25% the first sample, 50% another sample.. etc. I'm trying to get more info on it. Another thing is that I can't find info on playing actual notes, can you play a melody on it or does it focus on editing and recording? Thanks for the video, I'm glas some people still take an effort when making music

    .

  • THIS should be the actual approach towards the usage of a MPC!!! damn..,i'm really, really sick of all these dudes just copying and "sampling"other people's shit, why don't you all get REALLY creative like this cat right here?????.Hundreds of MPC owners and all they make is just the same,lame,4x4 beats with some vinyl or cd sounds rollin in the background..shit,always the same, like following a pattern or a freakin blueprint or something....there's a reason why this iNSTRUMENT is called a SAMPLER..

  • Great stuff. Can you please tell me if its possible to do that: connect midi out from mpc1000 to in of my synth, record some melody and take audio out from synth and plug it to audio in that I can sample this on akai mpc You know ... like sample from audio in while sequencer playing.

    Cheers.

  • @rtofvnt Yes it is.

  • what cam did you used to shoot this vid amazing quality bro

  • @masterwren I have a video on that.

  • Run away train!!! the progression is similar...nice

  • can u send me the sample? The beat is so playful and it makes me think of my past life!!!lol idk if u understand me or not... but PLZZZ send it to me!

  • Hey man. Great video! How did you record the guitar to the track you laid down? That really opens up the MPC to me : )

  • good shit.

  • That has to be the most fun I've seen someone have with an MPC on Youtube.

  • Dude I love the nike hightop sounds. You rock.

  • dude i was just talkin about doin this same thing haha i guess it works

  • You, sir, are my hero.

  • Really creative man. props

  • Lol different man

  • nicely done!!

    i LOVE D.I.Y.

  • Is it just me or does the JJOS have a more distinctive click for recording? Cause I have a hard time hearing the click on my MPC which is currently using the akai 2.11 OS.

  • @dante666diaz I actually set the click as a closed hi hat so that it was more easily heard.

  • @onelonedork How do you do that? Im still on the akai Os. Is that a feature only available on JJOS?

  • @dante666diaz No idea, I never used the Akai OS.

  • shitttt la ostia

  • man!!!!!!!!!thats dope.....

  • Hey i need to know how to work this thing from the begining you know like i cant even courser to the bpms

  • Nevermind i thought you were using software to load the samples ...

  • What Software was that you used to load the samples to the mpc ??

  • @theANT47 I use sound forge to slice some of my samples.

  • awesome!

  • this is very geil i love it ♥

  • @schutzengel300 Geil?

  • awesomesauce! very creative sampling bro...

  • really funny!

    keep doing

  • I make hip hop beats and although we seem to be on different ends when it comes to the style of music I cannot deny talent.

Amazing shit...I mean a shoe really?

  • Music lovers love music. I don't write much hip hop but I'm on slate to film a hip hop video here in the next month or so.

  • GREAT !

  • great pal! i have a mpc 1000 but now i dont now how use

  • So is this routed through an audio interface as well? Or are you just using it standalone?

  • not sure i under stand your question, Routed? as in controlling something else? if thats what you mean then no, is the audio going out of the mpc and into the camera then yes.

  • Yeah dude.. thats the music )))

  • That's brilliant! Good to see something interesting being done with an MPC rather than the usual hip hop/dance stuff.

  • xylophone part makes the song

  • yes it does, I hadn't worked out what i was going to do with any of these samples before i started filming but once i heard the xylophone i was happy.

  • Because of this right here i had to subscribe.

  • Thanks! I try to do something a little different with the mpc.

  • very nice !

  • Bro, this is awesome. .

  • my friend told me about this video but he didn't remember what it was called...i'm glad i found it...that shit is awsome

  • thank you for sampling tennis shoes and kids toys, your stuff is inspirational and refreshing. i'm a new mpc 1000 owner myself, and i just subsrcibed to your channel.

  • awesome...

this video shows that you should let creativity flow without thinking what kanye and p diddy are doing right now.

  • nice

  • Realy Nice!

  • nice..lol..

  • Lol, really good

i thougt you can only make hip hop with an mpc XD

did u record the guitar chords as samples or did u just record the whole guitar ?

  • In this video I simply recorded the whole guitar part. However in some of my other videos with sample and chop used, I actually Sliced up the guitar parts i originally played, and playing them back in a different order.

  • and yes mpc s work outside of the hood too!!

  • nice.

  • nothing to say other then PURE BEUTY!

  • Might just have to buy one of those now, sick for quick sampling of new sounds!

  • Really good! Love your guitar playing, and the whole sampling is crazy creative! Props man! This is making music! Great beat too! Subbed and favourited. ;-)

PS: I see you recorded the guitar with a normal microphone... could you also use the Zoom recorder for that, or do you have quality/mic placement issues then?

  • I don't have a good stand mount for my Zoom so a Mic stand works allot better.

  • wow, best use of a mpc video yet, sick of the yo yo cash money shit. 5 stars !

  • due to this video I had to buy one of these thanks to you. you sold me. thanks!

  • send me some shoe samples

  • my friend recently gave me his mpc 1000 due to him leaving to uni and the fact he never uses it :D guess i can keep the cash i had been saving

  • wow that is talent

  • 厲害!!

  • Nice one mate. Good demo.

  • you have to asign the samples to the pads. You also should us a new folder for each song and i normaly suggest save all. As for the Tempo matching thats something you have to figure out.

  • well, when I load the sample it disapears...or maybe I am not saving it right? I also seem to not be able to match the tempo of the sample to the beat that I have already laid down

  • Really good, can u help me out....got my mpc 1000 and what I want to do i cant figure out???

  • whats the problem?

  • Luv da beat with the rock bells..........

  • sick man

  • Awesome tutorial man, can the MPC 1000 slice the samples its self? or do you have to do it via pc?

  • Yep you Can Slice samples up and set in and out points using the wave form.

  • thank you for post it! fantastic job!

  • Dude thanks for the in-depth vid.

But for REAL beginners like me, you skip that part at ~1:55..

but I can probably figure it out, after I even GET my MPC1000

  • Pretty cool!

Do you mic your guitar staight into the mpc?

Or do you record your guitar into the computor, and MIDI-control it with the mpc?
