  • AB I like your Cessna 206, I got about 2700 hours flying one in Alaska, mime was a lot older and didn't have the G-1000! Love Crawfish Étouffée!

  • That's my favorite brand of beer he has there.

  • his seasonings are pretty spot on but the way he cooks them is a tad off, he forgets the ice down of the boil to push the spices down to the bottom during the middle of boilin

  • As someone who has minimal to zero experience with the Jewish culture and all things kosher (hehe that rhymed xD) would it be possible for someone to enlighten me as to the differences, if any, between kosher salt and regular?

  • @f0reverdirt

Kosher salt isn't necessarily Jewish. It's made by an evaporation process that forms unique and heterogenous crystals. It is also not-iodized, so it doesn't have that funky taste to it. It's chemically the same thing as pickling salt, just with crystals that are 133% bigger on average.

Truth be told, I can't find kosher salt in my market, so I just use pickling salt and use about half of what a recipe calls for, since the pickling salt is 2/3 the volume of kosher.

  • @f0reverdirt I believe AB's mentioned before that the "kosher" in kosher salt refers to an old word describing the salt-curing process, which used to be known as "koshering." He koshers a duck in one of the newer Christmas episodes.

  • He forgot to mention not to eat the ones with straight tails--that means they were dead when they went in (not good eats).

Had an outraged chuckle at his peeling-fail. It's on t-shirts at every tourist shop around: pinch, twist, peel, suck. You gotta people the tail to get the meat out proper. As for the face after the sucking...it could be that if you've got a real spicy boil, sucking the heads HURTS, esp. if you have any cuts on your lips.

Glad he's on our side about etymology! Rock on!

  • did anyone else do screaming affects while he was dumping them in?

  • @komotoko99

    Guilty as charged. XD

  • frosting on the crawfish cake. i love that

  • is it ok if the craw dads are dead or are they like lobsters

  • @utubeteam6 think lobster

  • @utubeteam6 It won't make you sick or anything like that. Just makes the meat have a little different texture & flavor, however, that doesn't mean it's cool to let them all die & sit out in the sun (dead) before you cook 'em. You want 'em live & kickin when you put 'em in the boil. Just remember, as soon as any animal has died (pre-cooking), the meat, under normal conditions will begin to spoil, so a few dead ones aren't gonna kill ya.

  • i'll suck your lobsters head :p

  • lol at 3:59 you can see that telemarketers are the ancestors of cochroaches haha

  • that gas tank is too much close to the fire, he'll gonna get boiled with the crawfish >.<

  • I fell off my chair @ 3:46. LOL!

  • I want to try these.

  • whats with the really warm looking sweater?

  • It's true about the destruction of eco-systems. The Brits imported the American ones (because they're bigger) in the 70's and now they have devastated the native crayfish and often destroy riverbanks as they can tunnel deep. If you catch one you have to kill it - it's illegal to throw it back! I don't mind doing my part, though!

Oh, and true about the Asian imports being contaminated as they have been banned before in Europe for that. Definitely buy native!

  • i'm from New England (RI)..i never new my favorite style of hot dog bun (the best because you can butter and grill them!) were a New England specialty...

  • I have seen this episode a few times and never realized until now he got crawfish head guts all over his sweater when he was sucking its head.

  • @thunderbird4510 little sweeter the lobster

  • If you want New England style buns, just bake a thin loaf of soft white bread, cut into 3 or 4 inch slices, and cut those slices down the middle three quarters of the way through.

  • they have them at Pappadeaux's right now, but only for a short time, they are cheap and good, I would go get some if I were you

  • Ohh one more thing. The corn goes in last or at flame out.

You have to peel the tail to get the meat before you pinch it. That is why he came up empty.

If you are going to proliferate the culture, get it right.

  • Almost.

You forgot the Chopped Onions, Garlic, and Celery.

  • he is wrong about how to eat the tails, and that is why he did not eat any of the tail meat when he tried....

  • There are live seafood places where you can get stuff alive. That's where you should buy fish anyway.

  • @thunderbird4510 joe's crab shack maybe, they taste similar to lobster, spicier and more tender

  • Yay sustainability!!!!

  • "Sucking the head" is a great contrast to the lobster-like flavor in crawfish's tails...and crawfish are freakin' damn good eats!

  • the crewmember that plays the priest is hot

  • IT'S GODCRAWZILLA!

  • Ironically, there was a crustacean-type monster in the Godzilla movies...Ebirah.

  • no wonder I got diarrhea eating snails in china

  • You'll get diarrhea eating snails from a food stand, anywhere besides a restaurant. Some common sense might be due, considering snails need to prepared very very specifically.

  • lol when the chinese crawfish were destroying the cars and stuff

  • Did anybody notice he also has telemarketers on his tree of life. Its on the right hand side with the cockroach side. I think thats quite correct.

  • We are cousins to corn nuts apparently.

  • His reaction is because it tasts good (duh).

  • haha his pet crawfish at the end is claud (clawed)

  • For some reason to me it looks like he doesn't like crawfish.

  • ya, it looks like he is smelling poop or something

  • lol at 4:02 when he's showing the list, under the man side he has corn nuts related to sea urchins

  • I love AB's explanation for why it's okay to kill lobsters and crawfish.

  • Damnit, I commented your channel instead of this video. But I was right - he doesn't eat the claws. Why is that? There is quite a bit of meat in the claws, atleast the crawfish I have eaten, but as I'm european they may have been a different variety, but I don't think so.

  • Where would I find them pre-described?

  • Try the food network website, they should have the descriptions - or wikipedia, they should have a good list of episodes.

  • wikipedia

  • BTW thanks for keeping the titles the same. It helps the others looking for these videos. The only thing I would suggest you do is in your description is to put what recipes are in the episode but its not needed.
