We the Actual Arabs, the Greatest, will Peacefully save our old shoes "to save the earth" and hit every one own, work or support Aljazeera, not leaving him/her the flies fill his/her empty eyeballs .. because you are criminals whom made up this story to elevate your partner "the Iranian regime" on the expense of our great Syria, what happen to Hamza Al Khateeb in so tragic , but it's nothing comparing with what happen today to Haleh Sahabi whom an actual journalist whom killed today
Associated Press- Pakistan 5/31/11 Officials have reported that a teenage beauty queen was stoned to death by three Muslims who alleged the 19-year-old violated Sharia Law
The body of Katya Koren was found in a forest near her home Her battered body had been partially buried.
Initial reports said three Muslim men were responsible for the murder, claiming Koren's death had been justified under Islam,
Reportedly the men were quoted as saying that Katya had violated the laws of Sharia
@zweezey Gays are executed in Iran because homosexuality is against Islam, and Iran is an Islamic State. Those are their beliefs and I don't think anyone anywhere has the right to say that what they believe in is wrong.
Yea apparently the Syrian secret police just hang around in the streets detaining any youth they see just strolling around. This is what happened when a regime goes paranoid.
@zweezey Mericans are not dumbs : u have to know that this place is very important for jews : most of ashkinazi jews are from this place from albania to ukrania remeber their kingdom there : Khazar Empire
Lol No one in the arab world likes those regimes, but they have to! You have no idea when you walk on the streets and you come a police man towards you! its like a demon comes towards to you. fuck all regimes who kills their own people and lie to them. Revolution has not to stop in the arab world
Associated Press- 5/23/11 - Ii's being repoted that bin laden was actually watching the Chris Mathews show on MSNBC at the time of his death..
Allegedly Osama Bin Laden was gay. He and Mathews we're to be married next month by Rosie Oddonel . It was to be televised on the Oprah Winfry network.
Reportedly Osama loved to read porn magazines. His favorite "Mohhamed has sex with Goats" In fact Osama had two goats a week delivered to his compound in which time he would have sex with the goats.
aljazeera is a jwish channel in arabic language and the in english !!!!! why u dont talk about qatari people ? where is the qatari opposition ? why u dont show protests against the wife of the amir ? why u dont show protests against american base in silia ? ur just liars and u sold the arabic world for dollars !
@ChannelLion It's sad that the kneejerk reaction in many parts of the Arab world to *any* real issue is to suddenly see jewish conspiracies everywhere. The toilet's stuck? ZIONIST CONSPIRACY! Mail delivery's late? ZIONIST CONSPIRACY! Repressive government? Both sides call the other members of a Zionist Conspiracy! Whenever people do this, they fail to seriously deal with societal issues.
@pgunn01 im not talking about poor and innocent jews im talking the zionists and illuminati and lucifirians that want destroy the world ...... i have jews neibours and friends !!!!
@ChannelLion Nobody wants to destroy the world. Most of the problems in the world come from political differences between real groups of people you can meet, or occasionally dictators/very wealthy people with undue influence.
We fight because it is part of human nature to struggle over values, to be greedy, and to want power. That's all. No conspiracies. Human suffering comes from human nature.
@ChannelLion Who's the "they" you're talking about? The US? I believe that Pakistan/Afghanistan saw intervention because they're an area that hosted Al Qaeda and was known as a hotbed of militancy.
Iraq, unfortunately, was probably about oil. It was about oil the first time, and was probably about oil the second time.
@pgunn01 because ur not muslim that's why : why they dont attack northern korea and all the world know that they have atomic bomb ? why allways they use vito against palestine ? why is muslim blood cheaper than jewish one ?
@ChannelLion North Korea did not host groups that launched attacks against the United States. North Korea does not have sizable oil deposits. That's why. I don't think the US generally has anything against Islam.
Note though that a few decades ago, the US was fighting on Korean soil, as part of a proxy war with the Soviet Union. Same thing with Vietnam. Neither of those had anything to do with Islam either, it was just ugly geopolitics.
@pgunn01 i know what u mean they fight here and there but their only goal is destroy islam because without islam they will apply their new world oder !!!! do u understand me mate ?
Just some thoughts for the brainless people amongst us!
If you are a Syrian border guard working at Damascus International airport, you see this Dorothy Parvaz in front of you, would you characterize her as a friend to Syria? Those who think that people turning a country upside down is a friend to that country is just silly to me.
Was she tortured? Was she gang raped like sister Diana Ortiz in Guatemala by CIA operatives back in 1989? Did she suffer Abu Ghraib type of injustice? Be reasonable!
Yet when an aid flotilla trying to help the helpless in Gaza, Israelis killed 9 of them execution style. Now, Mark Regev, the Israeli propaganda ministry expert, classified those humanitarians as "no friend of Israel". Now, how should Syria have dealt with this Dorothy Parvez given "international" precedence?
Can you explain to me the difference between a spy and a journalist? Given the US government vs Julian Assange saga, how can you even defend your point?
@weissman2000 Many weapons are smuggled into Gaza, along with necessities. You can expect that Israel will do its best to inspect everything that goes into the area, particularly given Hamas's stated intend to keep importing weapons. When the activists on the floatilla attacked IDF forces, IDF responded (inappropriately) harshly, and that's why 9 were killed. It was not execution-style; you're misinformed.
Syria should've let Dorothy Parvez in to report. She's a reporter for a news org.
Clearly, the Syrian government disagree with you on the point of Dorothy Parvez' identity. Again my original point of "I am sure that all US Israeli spies openly acknowledge their true identity"!
Let me spell it out for you: Gaza is part of a Palestinian state which is systematically being destroyed by Israel. Unless you deny the Palestinian people the right of existence, otherwise you cannot deny their right to defend themselves! Collective punishment is genocide in disguise!
@weissman2000 I am aware of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. I am not criticising them for their attempts to arm themselves, nor am I criticising Israel for trying to keep weapons from them. The floatilla raid has to be seen in that context; not only innocent flower-bearing people feeding kids (as you framed it initially), but in the backdrop of arms struggling and struggles over land.
Syria doesn't really believe Parvez to be an Israeli spy. It just doesn't want honest reporting.
@weissman2000 I don't see what Julian Assange has to do with anything. For what it's worth, I'm more on Julian's side than I am the side of the US Government or anyone else involved. Being an American doesn't mean approving everything (or even most things) my government does. Believe it or not, whenever the US Government is thinking about doing something, they don't drive up to my apartment and ask my permission.
Funny, I thought the US government is democratically elected. So, you should have a mechanism to call your government to account, isn't it? Implicitly, you are responsible for their decision and actions!
Now, in this case you somehow believe you have the right to criticize a government for media intransparency while the US government, you helped to elect, tries to "character assassinate" Julian Assage because of telling the truth. See your hypocrisy, which entertains me infinitely?
@weissman2000 I am not the only person voting in the United States. If I were, things would be run very differently. So, no, I am not individually responsible for its decisions and actions. If you were to move here and become a citizen, your vote would likewise just be a drop in the bucket.
Yes, I will criticise Syria for its reprehensible actions. I criticise the US too. I follow politics and am quite aware the US has often been a force for ill in the world. There's no hypocrisy here.
Ok, let's recap your thread of logic here: you are a citizen of a country with a government that is elected by its citizens, allegedly. Not only is this government doing things that you disapprove, but also has alienated you to such an extent that you do not feel any responsibility for it. However, in the mean time you do feel the moral supremacy to criticize others.
Unless you have got your own house in order, I see any criticism from you as the purest form of hypocrisy!
@weissman2000 See it as you like. I'm not speaking as an American, I'm speaking as a person. I don't feel responsible for America, nor do I consider it "my house".
I'll criticise anyone I think needs criticising.
I think you're just looking for a way to disqualify my criticism.
wow im shocked that syria turned out to be the bad guys and iran whom are known for their harsh treatments ended up being the good guys.. just goes to show aye!! kuddos for her being released and alive! seriously its a great thing! : ) but syria seriously has changed since the times of hafez el asad, and then his son taking over! i use to live in syira while my mom worked for the UN office there briefly for a year during hafez rule and he was a great leader and the country was great!
@IHateTheArabRace ahh just just shut the fuck up u dumbass, whenever we'll need a racist piece of shit to give us advice on something he obviouly knows shit about, we'll ask cheney or rumsfeld. you can just go hang urself now.
@IHateTheArabRace Way to show the world what an unbiased individual you are. You are clearly among the most honest people in the world and since you obviously are so impartial and tolerant, you are the most qualified person to critique a journalist who underwent severe psychological trauma on her word choice.
@Delta4ms You noticed that too, eh? Syrian sure did NOT get a lot of milage out of this debacle! In fact, if Dorothy was the spy they imagined her to be, where better to be than in the prisons where she can later report on the doings of Syria's brutal regime. Stupid fucking Syrians. She's goddamn lucky to be alive, because anyone that had a brain would have realized how much evil shit she would be able to report the Syrian government is doing to civilians.
I would love it if aljazeera spoke about Guantanamo bay, or USA's unlawful behavior towards Iraqi prisoners held in IRAQ it self by Americans, it would please me.
I think they were hoping to take Dorothy from the airport without notice but once Al Jazeera found out and ask why she was detained and taken they did a little non-violent psychological threatening then threw her out as fast as they can knowing that Iran will take some time to process her.
Hurray for Dorothy's release and her safe return in good health! Props to Iran for her civilized treatment there and utter contempt for Assad's regime for her arrest and persecution at their hands.
Dorothy why did you cheat and travel on an expired Iranian passport? Did Al Jazeera tell you to do that so they don't have to pay for a Syrian Visa on you American or Canadian passports? And why do you keep 3 passports?
@gl7676 Someone has to go in the minefield to show the rest of us sitting at home in a safe environment the plight of people fighting for democracy. Dorothy doesn't have herself to blame. She did her duty as a human being to cover the suffering of those fighting for their freedom, and as a Canadian, I'm proud to call her my compatriot. Welcome back, Dorothy!
Al Jazeera, thank you for putting up such a fight in her defense. I had never heard of her before she was kidnapped but every time I visited your English website I saw her picture and felt closer to her. She was released because you made her well known thereby creating increasing international pressure against those who were holding her against her will. True journalists, the lot of you.
It amazes me that Arab governments can be this cruel to their own people, and yet the Arab masses still think Israel is their biggest enemy. Talk about effective scapegoat propaganda brainwashing.
@VictimOfBoredom the reason that the Arabs are going against their rulers is because they believe their governments is corrupt and their leaders are traitors because they are not against israel
@RMSF1 Is that all? the first reason is the fact that those government are sacking and stealing theier countries money and resources instead of fairly giving them to the people, oil ritch countries should never be poor countries, look at saudi arabia for example why do you think most of people there are ritch although it's a desert? because thier rulers are a bit fair comparing to the rest.
@VictimOfBoredom YES YES YES! A voice of reason thank you! Of course Israel is not innocent in the ongoing conflict over there but you are 100% correct these Arab Regimes along with Iran use Israel as a scapegoat to get their people to focus their anger on Israel instead of how them! The middle east has such a long way to go even if all these regimes were overthrown...Look at Egypt. Women are still treated like second class citizens & told to go home & cook when they marched for rights! SAD!
and people here are saying that Al Jazeera are peddling false stories? Open your eyes people! Here is a first hand account of the brutalities that are ensued in Syria.
What those inept Syrian torturers need are John Yoo, Dick Cheney, and Donald Rummsfeld to help them! Yoo, Cheney, and Rummsfeld could make those young Syrians confess their crimes --- and reveal the criminal organizations they're linked to --- fast!
This is why many people --- particularly the really bright individuals; and in humans, bring bright simply means you always question those who keep saying their ways, or the GUY above' ways, which they know, are the only allowed, etc. --- can't live in societies like Saudi Arabia, Iran, China, North Korea, etc. Autocrats and one-party-fits-all regimes just don't know how to deal with bright people who's always questioning them, all the time, so it is usually prison those people end up in...
Dorothy must realize how lucky she is to even be alive.
After all of the time having passed, and the "chain of custody", was rumored to have changed countries, I thought the later was an excuse for her having been executed. She's very lucky to be alive.
I am glad we have Al Jazeera to cover this kind of news; American news media is largely dead, and we can't trust the official news that comes from these regimes.
@pgunn01 I concur, to a large degree. The owners of Al Jazeera have their own "agenda," too; but at least Al Jazeera hires/fields an incredibly diverse group of professionals: Lebanese, Thais, Egyptians, Japanese, Chinese, Americans, Mexicans, French, English, South Africans, Iranians, et al. If the Emir owners stay out of the reporting business AND editorial control of news, allowing only professionals to do that, Al Jazeera will become the standard news outlet in the next a couple years.
@jaba987 We gentle, God fearing Americans do NOT beat or torture those in our custody. We only use "enhanced interrogation techniques." All persons we send to Guantanamo and other secret locations the CIA run... they are guilty. We don't apprehend people willy-nilly! We only go after and aprehand evil doers who are born to usher in the end of mankind and civilization and other such big, important stuff.
@pgunn01 it's the best there is but don't even trust it fully ....get your news from everywhere whether you think it's fair or not so that you could judge over the whole picture ....Am an Arab so I try to gather my news from Al-Arabia , Al-hurra which I refer to as the enemy's voice & the BBC-WC& AJE for a fairer not yet fair news
@pgunn01 I love that comment: " . . . American news media is largely dead." I will go a little further. Western news media is mainly zombie. UK news media is mainly silly zombie.
@Bulldozerislamik why don't you listen to real news , instead of the crap you are listening to? Syria is a dictatorship, and is killing its own people.
@hoosierhiver : try to stop the women reporters and see how many limbs you have left when you are done.
Dorothy Parvaz and women like her are powerful, they are not sent... if someone is smart, they hire them, but they'll go one way or another, bet on it. This is not a normal person. This is an old school journalist and the idea that you are deciding what they do and sending them... no... you could never stop them if you tried.
I m sure every US Israeli spy will confirm their identity publicly.
I would be more impressed if she had been lifted from her home in Doha, put on a plane to Egypt in the rendition program, get a beating from the natives, get a panda-look with black eyes, and then sit there tell her story!
@weissman2000 you just prove you can say anything idiotic from anonymity of the internet.
What she went through was harrowing and brave. She is living and exposing unjust regimes and persecution in the real world and not from behind a keyboard in some coffee shop, library, internet cafe or from a dingy basement.
@weissman2000 I hope you have had plenty of time to mull over what should have been an important introspective rhetorical question for yourself. But I will guess that you are only able to project your short extreme personal comings.
Wow, what did you do? Went out and bought yourself a dictionary? Well done, I guess. For a brainless person without independent thinking you at least shows the will to improve yourself. Unfortunately, ignorant as you are, you remain unaware of the mammoth task in front of you. Yet, I still wish you all the luck in the world as you clearly needs it!
"....I will guess that....." ever thought of taking a lesson in grammar? It can't hurt, clearly!
@weissman2000 Hmmmm...you have nothing of substance to say...says a lot about the level of intellectual activity in that vast emptiness between your ears. I'm sure it's a cause for you to celebrate when you can color in your coloring book without going outside the lines or if you can piss without soiling the seat.
hahahahaha......why are you helping me to prove my point?
If I am the person as you have described, then the fact that I am here pissing you off makes you a liar because logical implication dictate that what you said is simply false!
My claim that you are a brainless idiot without independent thinking is also indirectly substantiated! I am particularly glad you mentioned the void between the ears thing because no one can describe it so well without suffering from it!
Hahahahahaha....like you have a point? You need to dehumanize a person in order to devalue his / her view. Only then in your 5th dimmension you can live with your worldview. Sorry mate, I thought I was dealing with a sane person and not a mental patient! Take your medicine for the love of GOD!
@weissman2000 terrible projection on your part....please come up with an original idea. And, btw, if I don't know someone, I will just delete their personal emails here with out reading. If you have any more crazed harangues for me, just keep them on this page. Thank you and have a great day.

Props to Iran for her civilized treatment there and utter contempt for Assad's regime for her arrest and persecution at their hands.
rnidess 9 months ago
Dorothy why did you cheat and travel on an expired Iranian passport? Did Al Jazeera tell you to do that so they don't have to pay for a Syrian Visa on you American or Canadian passports? And why do you keep 3 passports?
mer30!
KiaNilou 9 months ago
@KiaNilou It's normal for people with multiple citizenships to have multiple passports.
pgunn01 9 months ago
as a fellow Canadian, you only have yourself to blame when you go to a backwards country... you walk into a minefield expect to step on a mine
gl7676 9 months ago
@gl7676 Someone has to go in the minefield to show the rest of us sitting at home in a safe environment the plight of people fighting for democracy. Dorothy doesn't have herself to blame. She did her duty as a human being to cover the suffering of those fighting for their freedom, and as a Canadian, I'm proud to call her my compatriot. Welcome back, Dorothy!

SHE'S FREE FINALLY! Thank all things wonderful!

VictimOfBoredom 9 months ago
@VictimOfBoredom the reason that the Arabs are going against their rulers is because they believe their governments is corrupt and their leaders are traitors because they are not against israel
RMSF1 9 months ago
@RMSF1 I know...
VictimOfBoredom 9 months ago
@RMSF1 Is that all? the first reason is the fact that those government are sacking and stealing theier countries money and resources instead of fairly giving them to the people, oil ritch countries should never be poor countries, look at saudi arabia for example why do you think most of people there are ritch although it's a desert? because thier rulers are a bit fair comparing to the rest.
YasuharaEmin 9 months ago
@VictimOfBoredom YES YES YES! A voice of reason thank you! Of course Israel is not innocent in the ongoing conflict over there but you are 100% correct these Arab Regimes along with Iran use Israel as a scapegoat to get their people to focus their anger on Israel instead of how them! The middle east has such a long way to go even if all these regimes were overthrown...Look at Egypt. Women are still treated like second class citizens & told to go home & cook when they marched for rights! SAD!

I am glad we have Al Jazeera to cover this kind of news; American news media is largely dead, and we can't trust the official news that comes from these regimes.
pgunn01 9 months ago 57
@pgunn01 I concur, to a large degree. The owners of Al Jazeera have their own "agenda," too; but at least Al Jazeera hires/fields an incredibly diverse group of professionals: Lebanese, Thais, Egyptians, Japanese, Chinese, Americans, Mexicans, French, English, South Africans, Iranians, et al. If the Emir owners stay out of the reporting business AND editorial control of news, allowing only professionals to do that, Al Jazeera will become the standard news outlet in the next a couple years.
HenryDavidT 9 months ago
@pgunn01 maybe she should compare the Syrian beatings to American beatings in Guantanamo
jaba987 9 months ago
@jaba987 We gentle, God fearing Americans do NOT beat or torture those in our custody. We only use "enhanced interrogation techniques." All persons we send to Guantanamo and other secret locations the CIA run... they are guilty. We don't apprehend people willy-nilly! We only go after and aprehand evil doers who are born to usher in the end of mankind and civilization and other such big, important stuff.

@HenryDavidT You're kidding right?...right?

@pgunn01 And this makes Al-Jazeera one of the most hated channels on earth (when you say the truth people don't like it xD)

Stop sending women reporters to barbaric countries.
hoosierhiver 9 months ago
@hoosierhiver : try to stop the women reporters and see how many limbs you have left when you are done.
Dorothy Parvaz and women like her are powerful, they are not sent... if someone is smart, they hire them, but they'll go one way or another, bet on it. This is not a normal person. This is an old school journalist and the idea that you are deciding what they do and sending them... no... you could never stop them if you tried.
Thank god there is AJE to support them.

I m sure every US Israeli spy will confirm their identity publicly.
I would be more impressed if she had been lifted from her home in Doha, put on a plane to Egypt in the rendition program, get a beating from the natives, get a panda-look with black eyes, and then sit there tell her story!
weissman2000 9 months ago
@weissman2000 Quoting you: "I m sure every US Israeli spy will confirm their identity publicly."
Are you attempting to suggest that Dorothy is a US Israeli spy???
What are you trying to say, by saying that in this story about the accusations against Dorothy & her release???
yourtreat2 9 months ago
@weissman2000 you just prove you can say anything idiotic from anonymity of the internet.
What she went through was harrowing and brave. She is living and exposing unjust regimes and persecution in the real world and not from behind a keyboard in some coffee shop, library, internet cafe or from a dingy basement.

@Mxyzptlk562
If you are stupid, then there is no reason to show it, isn't it?
weissman2000 9 months ago
@weissman2000 I hope you have had plenty of time to mull over what should have been an important introspective rhetorical question for yourself. But I will guess that you are only able to project your short extreme personal comings.
Mxyzptlk562 9 months ago
@Mxyzptlk562
It can't hurt, clearly!
weissman2000 9 months ago
@weissman2000 Hmmmm...you have nothing of substance to say...says a lot about the level of intellectual activity in that vast emptiness between your ears. I'm sure it's a cause for you to celebrate when you can color in your coloring book without going outside the lines or if you can piss without soiling the seat.
Mxyzptlk562 9 months ago
@Mxyzptlk562
hahahahaha......why are you helping me to prove my point?
If I am the person as you have described, then the fact that I am here pissing you off makes you a liar because logical implication dictate that what you said is simply false!
My claim that you are a brainless idiot without independent thinking is also indirectly substantiated! I am particularly glad you mentioned the void between the ears thing because no one can describe it so well without suffering from it!
weissman2000 9 months ago
@weissman2000 You don't have a point, kid. Get over it. You're just being a typical troll.
Mxyzptlk562 9 months ago
@Mxyzptlk562
Hahahahahaha....like you have a point? You need to dehumanize a person in order to devalue his / her view. Only then in your 5th dimmension you can live with your worldview. Sorry mate, I thought I was dealing with a sane person and not a mental patient! Take your medicine for the love of GOD!
weissman2000 9 months ago
@weissman2000 terrible projection on your part....please come up with an original idea. And, btw, if I don't know someone, I will just delete their personal emails here with out reading. If you have any more crazed harangues for me, just keep them on this page. Thank you and have a great day.
