Now I'm frantically trying to remember the cases on this point. I remember reading at least 6 in my first year but that was now 4 years ago and I can't remember any of them. The rule that sticks out in my head is that you can't accept something before you're given the chance to read it, so taking the ticket with the terms on it probably can't serve as both notice of those terms and acceptance.

Actually, accepting a ticket is not necessarily equal to signing a contract. In Canada and the U.K. acceptance of the contract is when you receive the ticket, however you can only be said to have accepted terms which were known to you before you got the ticket.

In other words you need to have had the opportunity to read the terms and conditions before you press the "Get Ticket!" button (all from a case called Thornton v Show Lane Parking). Not sure about the U.S. though!

@Gendabeebs On the ticket it says, "This Contract Limits Our Liability - Read It" I'm sure you can argue in a court of law whether this is a legal and binding contract, but I feel like in a U.S. court they would side on the parking lot/valet services side. I sometimes question the idea of the "people's court" here.

But also for the sake of this video, which is meant to be comical, most things I say aren't meant to be taken seriously, but for the sole enjoyment of the viewers.

What I'm confused about is the 3 alcoholic bevs a day... um narcs usually say if you drink this with alcohol you'll DIE, not get mere liver damage... I'd worry more about the stopping breathing and how alcohol makes the blood concentration of extended release narcs skyrocket!
