This May 3, 2012 we will celebrate Virgil's 100th birthday. YES can you imagine. Please help to make it memorable by asking the Post Office to finally put out a special stamp for him. I asked in 1981 and they said yes,,but he needed to be "demised longer",,so now,,lets all do it together.
I've heard many versions of this most famous Bach organ pieces, and still like Virgil Fox's interpretation the best. For me, Fox's is the definitive version of this work.
