  • omg i havnt laughed that hard in a while

  • You can't have rights to a service. Healthcare is not a right.

  • @MandragGanon "Life, liberty, pursuit of happiness" ?

  • @MenwithHill You have a right to your life, your liberty, and your property. Saying you have a right to healthcare or education is akin to saying you have a right to lawncare or the news. After all, you have a right to be informed of whats going on in the world around you, so you have a right to the news. Look up "The Law" by Bastiat on youtube. They've got it on audiobook and its relatively short. It'll change your perspective.

  • @MandragGanon Please shut up. Health care is right. You can live without lawncare and you can live without media. But living without your health.... well you fill in the blank. I will look up this "law" video, but I doubt it will be based in fact

  • @TMBrd89 I'm a nurse. Do you have a right to hold a gun to my head and force me to care for you? No, you don't. If you try I'll prove you wrong. Health and 'healthcare' are NOT the same thing. Be careful you don't get them confused again.

  • @MandragGanon Hi, I am a physical therapy student. You need to grow up. Nobody is forcing you to have your career, you can quit now. Its a privilege to treat you fellow citizens.

Healthcare is necessary for health. In fact you shouldn't be a nurse if you don't understand that. :D

  • @TMBrd89 Maybe in the sense that eating right and taking care of yourself are necessary for healthcare. Its a career. Volunteerwork that I do is a personal choice I make to help my fellow man beyond my occupation. I provide a service. You will too. When you grow up that is...

  • @MandragGanon I am sorry you must be joking. Didn't you say that you are a nurse? You do know that there are diseases, syndromes, and conditions that can't be treated with "taking care of yourself" right?

Did you really need some one younger then you to explain that?

  • @TMBrd89 Yes, and these people should be taken care of by their communities and families. They should NOT be taken care of by government.

Its not that anyone thinks people should not be taken care of. Its that you fundamentally misunderstand how people are taken care of. Involving the government as a safety net the way it is is bad. Its going to drive prices up, like it has, and lead to greater and greater involvement of the government in deciding how care is given.

  • @MandragGanon "its going to drive up prices."

How do you know, considering it hasn't happened?

"these people should be taken care of by their communities and families" What if they don't have families or community support. There are homeless people in this country, where is their community support? Get real.

  • @TMBrd89 Actually it has driven up prices. You need to check out the videos of jacobspinney on youtube concerning healthcare. He cites his sources. With more capital left at home and the government no longer vainly attempting to redistribute wealth for our own good, charities and churches will be able to effectively care for this nation's homeless and disenfranchised. I respect your attempts at being a humanitarian. You're just going about it the wrong way.

  • @MandragGanon "charities and churches will be able to effectively care for the nation's homeless and disenfranchised."

You are full of shit. They can't even do it now with the government's help.

  • they actually say that right wing people are stimulated by the emotional side of the brain but left wing people get theirs from the logical side- this proves the point

  • Abortion really needs to be regulated by the states; the federal government has too much on its plate to worry about this issue.

  • All health insurance is destructive rather private or government run.

  • I don't believe in governmental insurance period. Now if there were more compation in the market that would be good. I find it strange that librials want health care for all cause it sounds like a religious thing. Using Darwinism the poor should die if they can't become rich to survive. I have no heart or sympathy for the poor they should have had the good sense to been born rich.

  • @Bradjg1978 My guess would be you're a troll. No one can be that stupid.

  • Hey! We have FURY too! just at reality! not at some imagined future!

  • Try reforming the tort system then we will see if underfunded, ill conceived financially irresponsible legislation is necessary. My daughter's pediatrician pays more for malpractice insurance (with no claims against her) per year than many Americans earn in the same time frame. What impact might that have on her office rates?

  • hehehe....too perfect!

  • @lostchord357

You actually believe the bullshit that's coming out of your mouth? You mean living is only a privilege? Are you really that shitty of a human being? By the way, the cost of treating those who go the free clinics goes back to the hospitals and is paid for with YOUR health insurance money.

  • @Tonio31

Human being are shitty in general. they ether have and don't want to give or have nothing demand to be taken care of and still don't want to give back. personally I side with those who have and don't want to give. at-lest they worked for something. Have fun with your side. just don't complain when they stealing from you because you have nothing left to offer them.

  • @lostchord357 - If we have a right to life, which you admit, please tell me how someone too poor for a kidney transplant can pursue this right to life, or pursue happiness, without the ability to go to a doctor or hospital.

You are arguing nonsense. There is no right to life when your life is threatened ONLY because you can't pay for a doctor.

And since when did doctors become so mercenary and heartless to build their practice ONLY on their income?

It can't always be ONLY about money, satan.

  • @kaneweb

Right to life means that no one has the right to take your life. If your organs fail because you don't take care of your self you should die. If you thought that being an artist was a profession and there for have no money and something goes wrong with your organs out of your control you should die. If you are a fiscally responsible person with people who care about you you have nothing to worry about.

  • @kaneweb Simple answer: You have a right to life... you don't have a right to have it provided to you by someone else's labor.

  • @ShadesOfKnight And I guess your mother's labor doesn't count? Oh, right, she's not someone, she's just a woman.

  • @TheCulturegeek Ah yes... the inevitable appeal to emotion. Good to see logical fallacies are still alive and well. :)

  • @lostchord357

Healthcare is a right in the UK, not in the US. rights are what the state decides to give everyone without qualification, that's all they are. While healthcare is scarce, it appears it's more efficient to ration it as a 'right' from the outcomes in terms of deahts from amienable causes, and in terms of cost effectiveness. Your right that it doesn't have to be a 'right' it just seems better suited to be one than the alternative.

  • @lostchord357

the destabilization of the middle class by individual responsability for healthcare and education (which perpetuates chance successes and faliures for many generations) must be taken into account as must the importance of a strong middle class for the western way of life.

  • @lostchord357 suck on a shotgun

  • Mark, love your work.

  • No Obama dose not want to kill elderly, but his plan will cut cost somewhere and someone will get screwed. To see how much of a failure this is look to my state Mass. My mother needs thyroid medicine not covered by mass health and my sister needs asthma medicine not covered by mass health. Ready for why. They both make to much money... minimum wages. LOL This will be forced charity to help just those without any health care and will hurt middle class more then the wealthy that can afford it.

  • propaganda did the author of this video mention we have a higher population in regards to infant mortality rate then both Canada and UK put together . U.S. population 301,000,000 plus UK 65 million Canada 33 million. Of course we have more infant deaths we have more people. DUHHHH!!!!

  • @jsh78mang

OMG infant mortality is a ratio based on the number of deaths for every 1000 live births. It doesn't matter that the usa has a higher population. It means on average more infants die per 1000 live births then the other compared countries. 6.8 deaths in the usa to canada's 5.3. Wow canada's seems high to me.

  • The math isn't equal CDC in 2009 stated the the high rate was due to premature births. Also would like to know who did the stats if it was WHO then forgetabout it. Did the include abortions?

  • it's based off of a percentage, moron.

  • @NarutoxShikon fuzzy logic, That number was cherry picked for it's wow factor.

  • @jsh78mang oh jesus. I don't think anyone needs to receive lessons from a guy who doesn't understand percentages or..... would you happen to be Bill O' reilly?

  • @fenix144 Ok explain How and why I'm wrong. Or Do you think I didn't fact check before I posted. You obvioiusly didn't.....Bah much????

  • I am still dumbfounded how these people were so stirred up. Non critical thinkers abound. I do think at this point, though, Democrats have let us down, as the health care reform is not reform if you don't have a public option. Insurance companies will gouge us even further if no public option.

  • Pretty sad when I reach in my pocket and find a whole family of democrats living in there.....maybe someone should have told them about the evils of socialism....like Margaret Thatcher said, "Socialism works fine until the other guy runs out of money!"

  • I love this garbage....not one mention of the pathetic union bastards that opt out of the "cadillac" provision of the health care reform because they "Didn't want to pay" for it....sad really these assholes that want reach into OUR pockets so the "Poor" don't have to pay.....

  • Yeah, but I don't want to be forced to buy any health insurance - 'Freedom' NOT Freedumb!

  • TOTALLY AWESOME.

  • Love it, and love the work of Mark.

It is really a rare, expressed art, to address the challenges of this time, with such an humor and capacity of transcendence, without being synical, or any anger or hate going with it,

Thanks, dear Start, alerting me to this vid.

    Lisa

  • sarcastic but right on spot. Dems need to grow balls and stand up to the republicans.

  • Uh oh! I'm feeling a little rational today. Where's my Rage-Ex?! Oh, I forgot...my health care insurance doesn't cover it.

    Great vid, Mark!

  • what if the market paid for it, a4b6c10? the market brings you all sorts of great things -- gay bars, for one!

  • What do gay bars have to do with anything?

  • apparently gay bars are... good now?

  • Pedophile - "skinny girl" sick sick sick - don't bother with comments - where you are at at 61 is a scary thing

  • @a4b6c10 george soros did. now eat my cum you socialist bastard

  • @mrsockhandy

What are you smoking? You've had a whole year to read this, and all you have is this stupid, obnoxious reply? For you information, I happen to be a conservative who has been opposed to Obamacare from start. I suggest you get a brain transplant.
