Yes, there are some horrible people on death row. But rather than risk executing an innocent person--and 122 innocent people on death row have been later exonerated--why not sentence them to live without parole in a Supermax?
If the death penalty is racist how do you explain the fact that only 3 out of the 36 people on death row in Kentucky are non-white and that all 3 persons executed since the re-introduction of the death penalty were white?
